Don't give up. I have a pair of 752 Freedom's. I use my Hegel H95 with them too good effect. I would say it is difficult to get better sound unless spending much, much more. They replaced a pair of Quad 11L Classics which survived so many speaker comparisons I can hardly remember over the last few years. Refined, punchy and fun sums the Missions up. Not the last word in bass extension but what's there is solid. Good luck with your project. All else failing, I'd warmly recommend paying for a working pair. Best
Not freedoms, original with the metal dome tweeter. Your tweeters are cooked, try monacor carpower dt284 (reduce 3db by zobel) or vifa xt25sc90 if you cant source the original, sounds better anyhow, works for 753 as well not 751 as thats an 8 ohm tweeter. Audax Aerogel midbass is great, tweeter not so much have had many 752s, last project i did was actually putting into a smaller sealed box and it actually made the bass tighter and cleaned up alot of the pipe resonance.
HDA units are supposed to be that way.. and the only capacitor that may age and need to be replaced is the blue electrolytic one. The other one is a film cap and needs no replacement, over time they fare well. What kind of an amplifier are you using? Can you sjow us the binding posts behind? Are they bridged to use with just one amp or cable length or are you just running cable to the bass/mid?
I have a problem with a mission 770 I made a bad wiring connection and after that just the tweets are working, the middle and bass doesn't work, what can I do

Any progress with the Missions? I hope you can revive them.
Seems the tweeters might be blown? Very common with the Mission 75 range probably due to being underpowered at high volume
