I’m a doorman at a hotel in Beverly Hills - Van Damme comes in frequently. I’ve driven that Azure many times! Very cool!
Thats awesome!
so cool!
And I'm batman
Yeah I gotta call bs on that, the odds are to far out there.
Hara Want pics? What’s your email?
I have read that the Azure top lifting mechanism suffers from the fact that it is lifting a much heavier top than the top on the Mercedes. The original high pressure lines tend to split and crack. New replacement lines do not have this problem. It just costs 8k to get there. If they do fail, they can spray hydraulic oil all over the interior from the area just above the rear view mirror. I wouldn't want to know what a new interior would cost for an Azure. The dealer is smart to redo the lines on the hydraulic lift system because a knowledgeable buyer would ask if it has been addressed on a used Azure.
I'd take the coupe or sedan over this dopey and problematic old man convertible.
A new, properly done interior runs between $30,000 and $40,000. The hides are EXPENSIVE!
I own an R129 and was about to respond that the oil is mostly clear and shouldn't be too bad to clean up (I know this from expeirence). But then I remembered Bentleys use custom hides and carpets that probably cost more than the value of my R129 to replace...
Hauling a Lambo bumper in a Bentley convertible...Tyler Hoover, keeping the hooptie spirit classy since 2007
From “the muscles from Brussels” to the goober from Kansas. Great story.
The Kook from Kansas, perhaps? The Weirdo from Wichita?
Wizard skipping since he received his paycheck for the Bentley
KiwiStyles The Wizard is out shopping for his next yacht.
Ye boi
Actually I think its cause the Lamborghini is back in the shop cha ching!
He's too fat to skip lol
Looks like a happy little cloud ... (Bob Ross pun intended - watch his 'yacht motor running again' video)
"The beginning of a long friendship" -- Hoovie is going to sell this car next week on Cars and Bids
My thought exactly. With his insane Mercedes, and soon to be done Lambo (maybe), he has two huge ego cars to tipple. 4 Sale Cheap sign soon.
Not many people get to say they have a Bentley for transporting Lamborghini parts
Luxury for cheap
So he got a overrated crap car to haul parts for another overrated crap car
Not many people get to transport Lamborghini parts
The typical plebe can only use a mere pickup truck. Hah, imagine that!
Next month: He creates a Bentley pickup.
Well, now I won't be surprised if Jean Claude Van Damme shows up in an episode...
That would be very cool.
Would be very 👌
jean claude god damn
and does a split between two hoopties
Yes!!!!! Go pick him up in his old car and talk about owner stories!!!
2:20 ... one month later " I present to you the cheapest Phantom Drophead in the country."
The Wizard is an Honest mechanic, we need more mechanic like him.
When you look at all the work he gets because of it, you would think more would be like the Wizard.
I doubt that when I hear his insane prices...
@@niconesta8566 He is using the industry book rate and then giving a discount on labor. If you don't know, they don't bill by the time they take to do something. They bill by the time the manufacturer says it should take. All shops use the book rate when giving a quote for repairs. Many times it takes less time so the shop gets to charge extra. A good shop will give you a discount for the unused, but quoted time. Same goes for the parts. Most shops will quote the price for OEM equivalent parts. Some shops will give you the choice of quality the parts are if their supplier has several options. A bad shop will use the cheapest part, but charge the price of the highest price part.
Now, for the insane prices they talked about here, you need to remember that they are not talking about normal cars. These are high end, exotics and luxury brands. A part that would cost $20 in a chevy will run $100 for the BMW and $1000 for the Rolls Royce/Bentley/Exotics. And that is before a repair shop adds their small markup. I can do a full brake job on my HHR myself for about $350. A shop will charge $650-$750. That same job on Bentley Continental GT will set you back $3800 to have a shop do it. Just the price of the front discs and pads ($800) is more than the entire shop rate to change everything in my car and that is just parts for the Bentley. There is still the labor, disposal, and fluid costs that haven't been added in yet.
Owning a high end exotic or luxury car is a money pit. They know that the people that can afford to buy a $400,000 car can afford a $4000 brake job so they charge that price. It's not the fault of the repair shop. That luxury tax comes from the manufacturer.
Most mechanics are honest. Some people just think working on cars costs way less than it actually does
He charges too much..
By the time 2021 hits, Hoovie will be straight up "River-dancing" to open his videos.
"Daddy, what is a first-world problem?"
Well, today i had to haul my Lamborghini Murcielago bumper in my Bentley Azure convertible to the body shop.
Body shop: bumper repair on a Mercielago? $5k. Sees Hoovie drive up in an Azure with the bumper in the passenger seat, did we say $5k, we meant $8k.
Wouldn’t surprise me a bit
I would say it will go to Mike, from Velocity Garage.
But I may be wrong.
What’s a “Mercielago”?

IKR. Hoovie's blathering on about his Bentley and I'm staring at the black Porsche 928S behind him.
Screw the Azure, lets have a video on the Triumph, far more interesting!
@chris younts 100's of Triumph in the UK lol
There are 2 immaculate Stags less than 100yards from where I live. Both at different addresses!
And the skyline too

Wollaton Park (Notts) is a really good place to see classic cars.
Everything from early 1900 Austin 7s (Bakelite interiors) - 2020 Corvette stingrays. 100's of cars and bikes aswel as steam powered attend the show.
I usually go every year May/June but 2020 didn't happen 😥😥😥
I've only ever seen 1 Spitfire! But ive seen quite a few Dolomites.

The last time I was this early the nicest car Hoovie owned was the LeBaron.
@50k subs with meme videos how many times are you going to post that?
Never heard of the leave one thing broken rule, that is brilliant!
I remember schlepping a full-size oven in the back of my Rover 216 Vanden Plas back in the day, about 24 years ago. It ripped the padding at the top of the driver's door, but aside from that, and the fact that it was a bugger to get the thing in and out of a small 4-door saloon, it was a successful operation. As for hyper-inflated parts prices, you should join an owners' club. When I was a member of the Aston Martin Owners' Club, I learnt some useful information, such as that the steering rack of a DB5 is interchangeable with that on a Morris Minor. Such information can drastically reduce the cost of repairs and, given there's no warranty to worry about, a nod's as good as a wink to a blind horse.
Wizard was skipping to thinking about all the money he’s going to make off you from your other cars
That's sounds about right

4:20 omg I'm in love with this Prelude!!!!!!!
I love the goofy looking headrest supports.
The entire seat assembly is from the BMW 850. Makes perfect sense for either a convertible or coupe since the seatbelt isn't anchored to the car body. Then again, you should see how well the seat is attached to the floor. Six huge bolts and 2 thick steel pins.
Love that the Wizard comes all the way to the village down the road for equipment for the Bentley! We took the Turbo R to Starman’s next door to Flying Spares as it was just a ‘local specialist’ only to find out they are the global specialists! Lucky us! Handy for our Silver Spirit!

Hoovie should get a Citroen since he keeps on ranting about ride comfort. :D
@@michaelrice500 I am personally fascinated by the Citroen Xantia Activa V6 since its the fastest car through the slalom test, beating all Porsches, Ferraris and the like. :D
That silver Prelude in the back..... man, that hits me at home! I had a 2000 5 speed Prelude in the exact same color. My first brand new car! Crystal Blue Metallic. That one looks like it might be a Type-SH with the ground skirts and rear deck spoiler. I had the base model but had them install the spoiler and swap the curved wheels for the straight spoke wheels from the SH. I bought it brand new in December of 1999 and sold it in May of 2010 with 225,000 miles. I had bought a new 2009 Honda Accord EX-L V6 6 speed manual coupe and kept both for a year. Sometimes I think I should have still kept the Prelude. One of the finest handling cars I've ever driven.
Lmfao wizard jump dancing in the backround was so funny
Pro tip: Take a full backup on all those laptops immediately! The data inside is the valuable part, not the laptop itself.
Brands don't bother with the value of their cars after they sold them to you.
They should take a page out of the Nintendo handbook. I think Sony is similar with the PlayStation, where they provide service and parts direct to consumers for an insanely long time. I think Nintendo supported the original NES until the mid 2000s and only stopped when they couldn't source some of the internal components anymore
Not always true. Unless they actually want one time leasing or target billionaires they will try to increase CLV by producing the most reliable product possible. This leads to less depreciation from better perception and high CLV. Lexus is a great example.
errr corperations are bad
@@honkytonkinson9787 Not sure if they're still like that. If you go to support pages from their more recent consoles (Wii, Wii U) instead of offering repairs they tell you to find replacements or upgrade to a newer console.
Yeah that's why these kinda companies went bankrupt and had to whore out to bigger automotive companies that actually give a damn. Rolls royce was sold to BMW, Bentley was sold to VW, and good old Lamborghini was, at one point, sold to some random third world company
Bought an old 3 series a year - it’s no Bentley but I still live by the “leave one thing broken rule”
I love how the Wizard was paying Hoovie back for all the film bombing he's done in Wizard videos. I like how you and the wizard share knowledge about parts interchangeability.

So right about dealers. I needed 2 engine mounts for my (Aussie) Holden Commodore V8 Ute, and Holden wanted $1200 for the two including fitment. I took my car to a local mechanic who charged me for 3 Engine Mounts plus installation for only $544. Do not take your car to Dealers, they rip you off. I dont know about other countries, but in Australia, the car manufacturers make their money of spare parts.

I like that Prelude parked next to the Azure.
The image of that bumper in the Azure, the definition of a first world problem in one image.
My grandpa had a small car lot in Tampa and he use to have nice nice rolls royces he’d drive us around in. Older ones from the 80s but still nice. This was back in the early 2000s and late 90s.
I need a blue azure in my life
I just found your channel. It's GREAT. Your mechanic is a great guy to have working on these wonderful vehicles. I especially like the Mercedes SLS and the Bentley Azure. I have two Mercedes SL's.
I sure hope that Wizard makes a backup or image of his specialty laptops in case the hard drives fail.
I think Ross-Tech sells the cable and software for under 500 dollars which is all you need if you provide your own laptop for the software. I think the Wizard over-paid for a factory version.
He said in another comment that he's had the drives cloned.
Totally agree in trying to compete and get better 0-60 and Nurenbuuuurg times they have fogotten why people loved the old landboats/the mustard era cars. Cover vast distances in luxury and comfort. One of my Dad's friends had an 86 Cadilac. What a car. 700 km road trip loaded up with guys for a football game and it felt like sitting in the living room there and back. God I miss that comfort.
Hey hooves! Love the Bentley. Especially it's colour

I think you should celebrate by going out & buying a real Hooptie! ☺
Triumph TR7 or TR8 in the background?!.. can’t be many of them in the states?!
I see few of them on the road in my area but it's rare
@chris younts To be fair the TR8 is great of you concert it Euro-Spec. The emissions stuff killed it, the later cars were even decently built.
They handle much better than its predecessors in my experience.
@chris younts The TR8 is a vast improvement. Its the Buick/Rover V8 and its incredibly tough of maintained properly, much lighter than the slant 4 from the 7 too. With a UK spec engine the TR8 is absolutely monstrous.
I think I saw that car on one of Wizard's videos-on his channel. It is waiting for parts and will be for a while. All problems know, just cannnot get parts faster than 6-8 weeks.
@@SpitfireFortyFour Hey, the Rover V-8 is a huge improvement over the V-8 Stag. IIRC, the 4 banger in the TR7 was half the Stag 3-liter V-8.

I feel like I'm being personally trolled here. I have been saying since the very first video that the problem with that fuel system is the distributor and to not try to self-rebuild but to send it to CIS Flowtech (and frankly I would send all the fuel injector for testing or just buy new ones). You sold the very nice "museum quality" Gallardo and kept the half broken Murci. Wtf Hoovie?
He doesn't call himself the dumbest automotive UA-camr for nothing. lol.
because it was worth as much as it was going to be for a while and murci's are going up in value. gotta play the market sometimes.
Doing videos on a "perfect" car doesn't pay the bills. Once he's done the review there's not much else to talk about.
He sold a VW Audi with two Inline 5 clyinder engines from a quattro wielded together stappled to an Audi R8 Chasis with a custom knock off murcie body to keep a lamborghini with a geniune Bizzarini V12 in it going that was a bit rough, but has a good potental to be a hooptie V12 Dream, as Leno has one with the same motor from 1986, and that SOB's held together damn well given he has over 70K miles on it.
and its a 100% paid off thanks to it and that sale to a guy who took all his money, and really wanted the thing, and paid him what he paid for it, when less than 6 months ago when he was looking for the rapide, they would barely give him 50K out of the 120 he put down on it.
actually I think it was like a 100 G's now that I think of it, so he sold it and make a 20 grand profit to a guy who is the right guy to sell it to too, and is now going to be able to enjoy this car far more than that gallardo given it was in too good a shape to regularlly use and not feel guilty about possibly ruining with the added wear and tear and mileage that came with it
and its a gallardo, they made over 9 thousand coupes vs less than a thousand of these in the 8 years that they made these.
plus are you really gonna go he sold a gallardo when it can sound like THIS with a little work?!
ua-cam.com/video/L0SbGAghMZw/v-deo.html
as its got the same damn motor, and hoovie's actually come into contact with this EXACT car too!
vs this pitiful excuse for a lambo

that sounds very VERY familar to me, except someone nicked the turbos
ua-cam.com/video/oOdu1Y9Ma_M/v-deo.html
as its not exactly something special man, I mean its not like its a manual swapped Valentino Balboni edition with some work to actually make it sound right.
its just a car that even Mike Finnegan of roadkill on the aulstralian trip episode said was just too little car for how much money it costs.
and I myself call it the bat guano gallardo given how bad they were, like you couldnt even have any fun with it because of how much the 4 wheel drive system interveened and broke the driving experence, in addition to adding 400 pounds of useless weight to the car, and ontop of that, this stole the idea of having a V10 in a supercar which hurt the vipers sales given how gentried and boring they are, so everyone bought those instead
and I'd sure as hell rather have a new viper around that than god AWFUL lambo hurican that replaced the bat guano one here that he sold.
@@kavinskysmith4094 V10's can sound good, just look at the Lexus LFA, but yeah, that Gallardo you posted did sound pretty blah.
