That combo w/ the LTT on the 50/50 last, is about perfect, IMHO. I love Whites Boots. My all-time favorite brand. Looking forward to the Whites/Viberg comparison. Very well done. Cheers.....🥃
I ordered a pair of MP Sherman’s from Whites in August and they took around three and a half weeks for me to get them. My last pair from Whites took around four and a half months so I was thrilled to get this pair in time for fall. Keep up the good videos.
Probably the best unboxing video I've ever seen ( and I see a lot of them). Subscribed immediately buddy. You're doing a great job and I'd love to see your channel grow.
I ordered my Original (i.e. hand-welted) 350 Cruisers, with a custom mini-lug outsole, at the Spokane store while in town for a wedding. I received them one month later, much to my surprise. Full price and all, but I love 'em!
Oh I bet that was a fun experience! I’d love to check out their store in person. Did you plan ahead of time to go by the store or did you just happen to stop by while in town?
I had the opposite experience with lead time. I ordered my MP Sherman Olive waxed flesh on the 5050 last in Nov. of 22’. I also specified a Vibram mini lug 430. I just received them last week over 9 months after the sizing was confirmed. They arrived with a few minor QC issues and the Wrong sole. I had to send them back. It should be noted I ordered them from Bakers.
Wow that sucks man. I guess Baker's lead time really is just longer than going directly through Whites. Hopefully your fix will be prioritized this time
These are actually sick customs. I’ve never liked lace to toe boots but these I’d totally buy. I also bought some white MP Sherman boots during the sale but I ordered mine through bakers. Im a 10C on branock and Bakers recommended an 8.5D on the MP last and honestly I’ve been really nervous about receiving them cause that’s a whole 1.5 size down from my Branock. Bakers does seem to take longer to fulfill orders.
@@xxflamezxx1able Did they let you do a free exchange on them since they recommended a size that was too small? Hopefully they will expedite the construction of your boots since it was a mistake on their end!
I ordered a cinnamon waxed MP on the 5050 last from bakers during the fathers day sale. It will be my first PNW boot and first time buying a shoe without trying them on like my Alden 405's I have worn for a decade. 10 Brannock, Wear a 9.5D in the Indy, they said I should go with 9.5E since I don't want my toes smooshed together and want to be able to wear my thick or thin socks in them. Here's hoping the fit is good.
Did you send in your foot measurements to them? It sounds like they sized you correctly because I too was sized a half-size down from my Brannock length. They kept my width as a C-width because I like a snug fit. If they sized you as an E-width then I imagine you will have plenty of room!
@@BabblingBootsReviews Yeah, sent in my measurements. I wanted to be able to wear them with thick and thin darn tough socks year round and didn't want my toes to ever be cramped. Basically wanted a versatile boot to do a little bit of everything, which would be easier than my old Indy. Bakers said an estimate of 8-10 wait time, I really hope that's not the case. I'm not trying to own a lot, just a couple things that cover all the bases.
@@Sandblstr I've heard that if you order from Bakers it can take the estimated wait time, if not longer. I ordered mine directly from Whites and they came about 3 weeks after I placed my custom order. I know other people have had a similar experience. I assume Whites prioritizes building boots purchased directly from them, over orders placed through Bakers.
@@BabblingBootsReviews Sorry for the late reply. Double checked wait time with Bakers was over 6 months. I really hope that isn't the case since other than it being the 5050 last it's a standard Cinnamon MP boot. I'm still just hoping the half size down from Brannock and up a width works for me. Would hate to wait all that time just to find out it doesn't fit.
Nice review mate! Got myself some 350 cruisers in rough out, unreal boots! Think the lowered block heel reduces how intense the arch support feels, I got the lowered block heel and think these feel amazing. What jeans are thoses your wearing at the end of the video?
I was really debating between a lowered block heel vs the standard block heel but decided to try out the standard to see how the arch support feels. Most of my other boots have lower arch support so I wanted to see what all of the hype is about. Haha. The jeans at the end of the video are from Hiroshi Kato in Raw Indigo 10.5 Oz Selvedge.
I think its a bit of personal preference and what you are looking for. I think most people would say Nick's offers about the most durable and rugged boot you can buy anywhere. you won't find a more solidly built boot on the market. That said, I think their boots are probably overbuilt for what most people would actually need and I think it shows a bit in their aesthetic/design. They are very chunky/hearty work boots. Nothing sleek about them and they aren't meant to look sleek. They are functional work boots. White's boots are similar in quality but probably not as overbuilt as Nick's. They offer more refined designs for their boots but still maintain most of that hearty work boot aesthetic. I personally prefer White's because I don't think I could ever justify wearing, in my daily life, the super rugged/overbuilt boots that Nick's offers.
Looks awesome! This is what I want to do on a 5050 last! Curious outside of the lace to toe, would this be the same as doing an mp boot on a 5050 last or how is it different? Thanks!
So if you did the MP boot on the 5050 last, it would have the same slim toebox as the standard MP last. That part would be the same across both lasts. The major difference would be that the MP would have greater arch support on the 5050. The 5050 last has higher arches and greater arch support than the standard MP last. If you really like the silhouette of the MP boot but want more arch support then the 5050 last would be the way to go.
After wearing them pretty regularly for about 6 months now I can say that they are very comfortable and the higher arch feels great. The only minor complaint I have is that the unstructured toe causes the leather upper to kind of collapse on the top of my foot when I'm walking. It isn't that bad but it does make it slightly less comfortable. Not White's fault though because they did warn me about that and I took the risk anyway. I'd still go unstructured if I had to do it over again though
Well I guess that depends. I've heard that arch support can actually be good for flat feet. Supposedly for some people with flat feet, higher arch support helps to reduce pain and stabilize the foot. But if you already know that higher arch support isn't good for your own feet then I would definitely avoid the 5050 last. The MP last would be better for someone who needs lower arch support.

thanks for posting, hard to find this level of detail on these boots!
Thanks! And I agree. I'm surprised more people don't review the 350 Cutters.

That’s awesome! Great timing for boot season.
I absolutely love the whites cotton laces. Their flat waxed ones I use on my MP.
Very well done video! Whites are amazing boots. Anyone who doesn’t own a pair is missing out.
Completely agree! I regret waiting so long to buy myself a pair. I think these might become my new favorite pair of boots.
I have four pairs. Well, five actually since the Drew’s I have were made by Whites, and are actually the pair I like the most.
That’s the ultimate collection!

Can you post the full build?

Thanks man! Yeah that sizing does sound odd because they recommended an 8c for me (Brannock 8.5c). Let me know how it works out after you get them!

They are actually great for flat arches. I have a broken arch on one foot and the high arch are great with that foot. Great with both actually. 😂
