Glad to have you back! I'm keen on the new content. One tip re: your camera settings. I feel you need to increase the shutter speed, as you have a LOT of motion blur happening. By increasing the shutter speed, you will have a more natural motion feel :)
You were 100% right, I had it way too slow lol. Got it up to 1/60 since I'm shooting at 30fps... thanks for the tip!

Good to see you back Jake. My $0.02 on your LS swap comments. For me, I come to your channel for BMW related content - I have a low mileage 08' 135i E88 w/some mods (Green Bay WI). IMO an LS in a BMW may make sense for ultimate power and if that's your main goal then more power to ya. With that said, I can follow most any other channel for similar content (LS powered ???), there isn't anything unique anymore with your channel as it's not a BMW anymore. But that's me... Good luck in whatever you decide.
I'll always keep BMW content on the channel, that's never going away :)
Ls swap on a 82 sounds like a great series
No matter where your life/wallet is, prioritize getting the car running & driving reliably. Doesn't have to be a crazy 900hp build, it just has to be driven & enjoyed more so than garage-queening!
I just put my car away for the winter, but I wanted to thank you, because just this year, I dropped the rear subframe myself, and did a complete overhaul. LSD, axles, bushings, control arms, sway bar, center support bearing, you name it. I love this car so much and have learned so much on it thanks to UA-camrs & forum guys like you, and get less & less intimated with every project.
There's a single turbo install in my future, and I'm looking forward to it.

If you do go LS, I highly recommend you get another e82 for it. You won't alienate your N54 audience, but at the same time, you'll acquire the LS-swap audience, possibly intrique/convert both groups to each other. Good luck.

+1 on the stock block, am in the process of doing the same and yeah like you said that's a different rabbit hole and I do want to get it back, so maybe when you tear the old motor down it will be rebuild able
Welcome back bro! You could go the cheap route for a built motor by dropping in a set of max speeding rods with king bearings. See where that goes. The guy at zeroto60 have done a motor with that set up.

As someone who is currently working towards being in a position to create content full time, I’m so stoked to hear this news!
Here’s an idea: What if you ordered a new G87 M2? I know it’s not an attractive car but if you order one now, you can get one without paying markup and have your perfect spec. Since the car is so new, you can do small mods that don’t cost a ton while still generating tons of attention. The car by itself would draw a crowd, but I think your unique perspective of having both a single turbo 135i as well as the newest short wheel base M coupe would be especially engaging. Financially, if dealers keep charging mark ups and you got a custom ordered one at sticker, you could probably safely assume you wouldn’t ever be underwater on a loan/lease.
Just thought I’d share this idea with you. I was thinking of going this route for myself as a means of building up my channel, but I currently have two shitbox BMWs that I should probably finish first 😂 Regardless, I hope you do extremely well on your journey as a content creator and I look forward to seeing future videos!
