So important for me to stump shoot during the season. On way in and out of stand. Builds confidence and keeps me in practice. Great shooting your on your game now.
In South Dakota you need to pay attention as well, the Cactus both types, the rattle snakes, and the thorns from native Honey locust or Russian Olive Bush trees.
screw in is 100 and 125 i think. clue on is 135 grain. and with the glue on you can use a glue in scew adapter and change the weight. can use a 24 or 42 grain aluminum adapter or 75, 100, or 125 grain steel adapter.
I buy a 135 grain glue on judo and then use alumin or steel screw on adapters for glue on heads. the adapters come in 20 gr alum, 42 grain alum, 75, 100 and 125 grain steel. So I use a 250 grian head (135 grain judo and a 125 grain steel adapter).
In some places you can only do it if there is a season open to hunt t something. But as long as you don't have a broadhead in your quiver usually you are good. Beat thing would be to call the dnr and ask them about shooting a bow on public land for practice.
Nice Shooting Brother Are ya going to Miss the Crisp Autumn of Michigan? Michigan's Politics suck , But Roaming And Hunting in Michigan s Autumn woods with A traditional Bow and Arrow is...
Only thing I'm really gonna miss about michigan is bowfishing. I will get plenty of crisp autumn in November when I do my 3 state 4 week rut run. I loved michigan. But you have to remeber michigan for me was hustle, work 70 hours a week, be gone from my family 3 days a week, pay 2 mortgages, and struggle to find time to hunt on 2 hours of sleep all season. Down here everything is paid off, I'm semi retired, stress free and hunt year round non stop. So I'm in a much happier place right now.
Just ordered some judos, thanks for the reminder! You probably have herd of Glen Solomon by now, a George legend who sadly passed away unexpectedly. You walking through those flat woods reminded me of one of his video's on the abundance of game food in plane site if one knows what to look for. ua-cam.com/video/eHOsDYo9oSA/v-deo.html

Dang, you're a good shot! Its awesome to watch guys like you shoot those traditional bows so accurately
Thank you.
Stump shooting is the bowhunters greatest bonus! Plus it's makes a great spectators sport. Enjoyed a few slow motion shots thrower in!
Love stumpin!
I do the same when walking back to camp or the truck. Judo points, almost always pop your arrow back up in the thick stuff.
Yep stumping is the best practice
very good shooting! I stump shoot most every day, more than I target shoot.
Yep no better type of practice for hunting

No stumps in SD tho!
Yep always have to be careful in snake country
What sizes do judo points come in
