- Calo des Moro is located 6 kilometres from Santanyi in the southeast corner of Mallorca.
The beach can be a bit difficult to get to and this video gives you an idea of what the terrain is like on the way to the beach. Although it is a bit of a trek to get to, the beach itself is stunning, but because of its popularity it gets extremely busy during peak hours and high season.
A popular beach in Santanyi district close to Calo des Moro, Cala s'Almunia (although small) is enclosed by a large, rocky cove that just begs for the adventurous to dive or jump off the precipitous outcrops into its gorgeous emerald green waters.
Cala s’Almunia shares it's name with a very small town consisting of just 30-40 houses, not far from the southern tip of Mallorca. Only walking distance from Caló des Moro, this beach is very beautifully situated in a rocky bay surrounded by pine trees.
At just 10 meters long and 30 meters wide, the beach itself is very small. Surrounding the cove are many rocky outcroppings that serve as a launching pad for rock jumping into the crystal clear, turquoise waters of this pretty bay.
Calo des Moro est situé à 6 kilomètres de Santanyi dans le coin sud-est de Majorque.
La plage peut être un peu difficile d'accès et cette vidéo vous donne une idée de ce qu'est le terrain sur le chemin de la plage. Bien qu'il faille un peu de temps pour s'y rendre, la plage elle-même est magnifique, mais en raison de sa popularité, elle est extrêmement fréquentée pendant les heures de pointe et la haute saison.
Une plage populaire dans le quartier de Santanyi près de Calo des Moro, Cala s'Almunia (bien que petite) est entourée d'une grande crique rocheuse qui ne demande qu'aux aventuriers de plonger ou de sauter des affleurements escarpés dans ses magnifiques eaux vert émeraude.
Cala s'Almunia partage son nom avec une très petite ville composée de seulement 30 à 40 maisons, non loin de la pointe sud de Majorque. À seulement quelques pas de Caló des Moro, cette plage est très bien située dans une baie rocheuse entourée de pins.
À seulement 10 mètres de long et 30 mètres de large, la plage elle-même est très petite. Autour de la crique se trouvent de nombreux affleurements rocheux qui servent de rampe de lancement pour sauter dans les eaux cristallines et turquoises de cette jolie baie.

Der Strand kann etwas schwierig zu erreichen sein und dieses Video gibt Ihnen eine Vorstellung davon, wie das Gelände auf dem Weg zum Strand ist. Cala s’Almunia teilt seinen Namen mit einer sehr kleinen Stadt, die aus nur 30-40 Häusern besteht, nicht weit von der Südspitze Mallorcas entfernt. Nur wenige Gehminuten von Caló des Moro entfernt, liegt dieser Strand sehr schön in einer felsigen Bucht, umgeben von Pinien.
Mit nur 10 Metern Länge und 30 Metern Breite ist der Strand selbst sehr klein. Um die Bucht herum befinden sich viele Felsvorsprünge, die als Startrampe für Felssprünge in das kristallklare, türkisfarbene Wasser dieser hübschen Bucht dienen.

A little rough to get to, but at least the temperature is cooler than London!
So true! While we were there in the beginning of July the temperature was around 35C, but nowhere near the blazing hot 40C recorded in England yesterday!

“Mallorca” is the Spanish spelling of the island, while “Majorca” is quite a popular spelling in English, as well as more languages and countries.

Both of these places look very nice but they are very crowded and there is very little actual beach away from the rocks.
You are right. I think you need to get to the beach very early (even before 8am at the weekend) to enjoy it without crowds of people. It is still worth a visit, but can be uncomfortable perched up on a rock in the hot sun. The nearby s'Almunia has more tree cover and provides a bit more places for people to sit and relax.

In the 1980's, when Calo des Moro was far less crowded, at least 60% of people there were totally nude whenever I visited ( myself included) and I don't ever recall meeting a woman there who wasn't at least topless in a very skimpy bikini bottom...........
@@terryjacob8169 I've never been to this beach but judging by other videos rocks have fallen down onto the sand at Cala des Moro greatly restricting the area of the sand within the last 10 years.
