My dear sister, by your words I can tell that you care for others. My dear sister, would you consider that it’s not for us to be rebuking anything like anxiety or depression? The model for prayer is found in Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus taught us to pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven. Jesus did not teach us to pray by rebuking anything. We can pray, Dear Lord, whatever is ailing this dear brother (or sister), his thoughts, what he has come to believe about You, dear Lord, if this is the root for his depression, will You send him relief? Send him help, draw him (her) near to You. Let him have freedom, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is one of my all-time favorite sermons by Dr. Stanley. I remember when he preached this sermon in the early 90’s while I was in the Air Force and still have a VHS copy of the whole sermon. See you in Heaven, Pastor.

I am in the Valley right now 😭!! I am in a verbally abusive relationship. I am on Disability, I have no car and because of our outrageous economy I cannot afford to live on my own 😞. I am doing my best to follow the Ten Commandments (I have my own bedroom) and attend Church and Tithe what I can (I give him my disability check). My heart hurts so 😞 bad. I am submissive but yet get yelled at and threatened, I just keep giving it to the Lord to help me but I need to realize He will "Help me Help myself". In the Name of my Lord and Savior I Pray for Willingness, Courage and Strength and be Submissive to my Savior FIRST!! In Yeshua Name I Pray Amen and Amen 🙏💜🙏

I am there friend! Wife left me, kicked out of house, our dog died, daughter turned two years old, grandma heart attack on Christmas. I’m there friend and I pray and cry and beg for something good in my life. And God is silent and I see him no where. Yet…yet…I still believe God is present. And I pray and thank him things aren’t worse. Pray with me friend…what else can we do. I love you. As we all love those that suffer and fight for happiness to return

I'm a Seventh Day Adventist, Formerly a Baptist. I grew up watching Charles Stanley on TV. He will be missed. For to the best of his knowledge and understanding, he taught much truth and principles of Scripture to the world, and especially the congregation that he mentored as a pastor.
