He hated and never liked Rich. He only associated with him because Rich was Harlem. Alpo was from the East side not the west where everything happens. He despised everyone saying Rich and Po. When he felt he was somebody outside his association to Rich (which is where all the antics came from). But he could never get out of that light. Which is probably why he left New York for d.c and landed himself in a situation worst than he could ever imagine. So when he got the opportunity to have Rich killed. He did knowing whomever did that to his little brother is more likely to be blamed for Rich as well (his excuse). Same thing he did with Tank, Big Head Gary, WP, and others too.
