She's always sounded very breathy, very high and very thin when she speaks with her normal voice (even in clips from years ago), so I think she's just got a very weak, inflexible throat and larynx. She makes it work for her though.
I absolutely adore it when Luna goes into her scolding mother/sister mode, few have ever managed to summon it. Haachama's cooking being one of those rare instances.
i remember when i first started watching vtuber clips i didnt like the baby voice. but then i saw her playing a vr horror game (i think it was with pekora) and she was so scared she dropped character. after that it makes me feel she works harder at keeping up her character setting than any other vtuber and now i love the voice.
i agree for the most part i used to wish she would drop the voice but for one if she did it would probably not go over well with people and for two she doesnt seem to mind keeping it up. i just hope shes not pushing herself too hard though.
