Never noticed a problem such as you describe with Norwegian laftehus. Maybe the sinklaft you are using is holding the timbers apart and the skinninglaft used in Norway allows the timbers to tighten. Your system suits your climate, here we have to have much more windproof solution than the one you are using (it takes very much longer to make skinningllaft/raulandslaft) . Very good work and good problem solving!
Hello from USA. What would the axe/adze you are using to clean out the belly groove be called ? And, would you know where to purchase one ? Thank you !
