FYI cruise ship will wait for you as long as your excursion is booked through the cruise company. Any other situation they will not wait more than a few minutes as the ships usually have a tight schedule.
Yeah, that's why I've heard people say even though the excursions operated by the cruise company can be a bit more expensive it's sometimes worth it. You have that added layer of insurance.
The third story sounds like someone refusing to deal with their grief. It's like bargaining with life ala "if everyone else halts and sacrifices their lives, it's like I didn't lose mine, because then none of us have one that's better than the others" Kind of as a way of never dealing with the grief, and staying in a limbo where you never have to fully accept or experience it. Although it kind of sounds like it's a kind of protection that the parents have made for the daughter, to try and protect her from it. Maybe. Most people with disability have to confront those things just because they live with it every day, unless someone is there to unheathily shield them and create those dynamics. Yeah, and what's unfortunate is that it's not the sister saying these things on her own behalf. All of it is coming from the mother based on what the person said. Grief is a weird thing and we all process in our own way, but like you said in a way it seems like this family is just completely denying themselves the ability to even begin processing it. The fact that the older sister has a husband as well and has that support structure outside of her birth family makes it even stranger to me. Where is he in all this?

I would love to do another one. The trick is finding the right templates, and the ones that are good are usually really expensive. I think the hockey one that I have cost me about $100. I could do another one like the Star Wars photoshop I did a year or so ago, though.

I've never watched before, but there is a track not that far from me. From what I have seen the tickets are fairly cheap. Once the weather gets a bit nicer here it might be worth checking out.
