I wouldn’t sit there and be called a creeper for touching someone I was actually hooking up with. She should have told them to STFU and he had every right to leave.

How come everyone I watch on UA-cam is so likeable and everyone I meet in real life is awful? 🤔

He was 100% justified in leaving her at the bar, she should have explained or defended him. That’s terrible.

I don't know. That first situation seems a little over dramatized maybe? Like you said, 3 hours to get to work and she walks for an hour? You wonder if he's embellishing a little bit or if that's really the true scenario. It also sounds like she could be severely depressed, knowing she can't have kids, but being surrounded by them. Honestly, it does not sound like a very healthy relationship. That doesn't mean that I believe they should divorce, but serious therapy is needed.

If my kid was going into the kitchen each night making an extravagant dinner (not just a sandwich, or cutting up an apple as a snack) using the food I paid for and put in the kitchen, and said "no" when I asked if he/she could simply make a little extra so we could all eat' maybe together, I would consider them a spoiled selfish brat and I would stop furnishing "gourmet food." That guy is not an asshole just for requesting that. The comment he made about paying rent at 17 is irrelevant and he probably made that comment because he was so hurt by this kid's complete disregard for his simple request. He was not an asshole. No one is an asshole for asking a question.

Exactly, how is everyone saying he’s the asshole?

I disagree. She's 17 and probably only has the time and energy to cook for herself. If anything he's the selfish one because she does cook for them occasionally. She wouldn't even be cooking if dinner was already made, that's why he's mad. She can fend for herself better than he can. So on "DIY dinner nights" while the rest of the family is eating " a sandwich or an apple as a snack", she's making herself something better to eat. HTA. If they're all busy why should she spend extra hours in the kitchen because he can't cook? Instead of trying to learn from or help her, he tried to dump the responsibility of having to cook for them, knowing she barely has time to cook for herself. I would've said no too especially when he didn't express anyway he could try to help relive her stress after she told him she's drowning in school work on top of being an intern and an artist. Cooking a nice meal for herself when she has to is her form of self care, if he can't do it for himself he has no right to complain and dictate how she does it to accommodate him. The wife and whoever else in the house doesn't have a problem, it's just him.

@@Wezagodman Because everyone that said HTA can understand why she said no. She's a kid, it's not her fault she can cook better than him and doesn't want a frozen pizza or something. This is not an everyday thing and it's not like she never cooks for them. it's only on nights that everyone is busy and left to figure out their own dinner.

absolutely. refusing to cook dinner for your family is disrespectful. i understand that she does it on rare occasions, but so do most kids.
