So proud of the Ukrainian Warfighters and of my HIMARS and MLRS systems!!! I was a Battalion Master Gunner for a HIMARS Battalion, 22 years of service and I have fired the M270 and M142 on Three Continents and during combat operations . I wish I could tell you more about the capabilities and firepower that some of the family of munitions that these MLRS Platforms can use! But I have signed NDAs and not at liberty to say….. these systems are amazing! I have also trained Ukrainians in the past several years and I can’t tell you how proud I am of the men and women of Ukraine that are fighting! The were the smartest, most motivated, and most willing to learn that I have ever trained. So happy to see them fight the way they do!! I hope they keep giving Russia what they deserve!!! Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦!!!
Incredible equipment and operators indeed. I am only just learning of the M30A1 munition capabilities and how they will be ready and waiting to welcome the 300,000 unfortunate new targets approaching. War is such a terrible thing. A successful response and defence to an attack of this nature however is worthy of massive respect to all the of parties involved in it. Maximum respect to the soldiers and people of Ukraine.
HIMARS in Ukraine are what the Stingers were to the Russian invaders back in the 80's Afghanistan conflict - and add yet another goodbye to the previously much feared and alleged invincible Russian Bear....

Fascist regime of Russia. Do you even know the meaning of the word fascist or do you use it because its simply a buzz word right now. For fascist you can look at your own governments. In bed with big corporations looking out for their interests only. Russia is authoritarian not fascist. USA and EU are fascist. And let's not even get started on the link to nazism which would get me started on the Ukrainian regime.

NO GLORY TO NAZIS!!!!!!!
I don't think anyone doubts the effectiveness of the HIMARS systems, but they absolutely do NOT make up 70% of Ukraine's firepower. I doubt that it is 10%. Ukraine has another 360 highly mobile and self propelled 155 mm guns capable of firing Excalibur rounds capable of hitting a dinner plate out to 70 - 80 km (actually a CEP of about 1.6 meters). Not trying to take anything away from those HIMARS because they are amazing weapons, but let's just try to keep this in perspective. My point is that the Russians are already way out-gunned in this war and Ukraine only has a fraction of the weapons we should be providing them.
Here is a list of those 155 mm guns:
HIMARS - M142 (34)/M270 (9) (M142 - 34 from USA; M270 - 6 from UK; 3 from Germany)
M109 - (112 total). From Belgium - 64; Norway - 22; UK - 20; Latvia - 6.
Caesar - 18 from France.
Krab - 78 from Poland.
Panzerhaubitze 2000 - (20 total) 10 From Germany; 5 From Italy; 5 From Netherlands
Zuzana - 8 From Slovakia
Bohdana - 1 From Ukraine
M777 - (118 total). USA - 108; Australia - 6; Canada - 4
And the US lend/lease has not kicked in yet.
According to Oryx, here are the numbers of those guns destroyed since they arrived in the theater. 12 units destroyed out of 380 = 3.16%
HIMARS - 0 (out of 43 - includes M142 / M270) - 0.00%
M109 - 2 (out of 112) - 1.78%
Caesar - 0 (out of 18) - 0.00%
PzH 2000 - 0 (out of 20) - 0.00%
Krab - 1 (out of 78) - 1.28%
Zuzana - 0 (out of 8) - 0.00 %
Bohdana - 0 (out of 1) - 0.00%
M777 - 9 (out of 118) - 7.62%
if there is only 16 id bet its about 1%
Well according to these western propaganda website, they know everything on the ground in Ukraine but unable to identify who damaged pipelines providing Europe with gas... 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂... Why is Ukraine asking more weapons if nothing is being destroyed on the terrain?
70% meaning that those 16 himars are doing 70% of the work not that’s it’s 70% of everything they have, this is their best weapon so I don’t doubt it’s not doing 70% of the work
In terms of the destruction of Russian soldiers and weapons, it could be quite material.
@@lonemaus562 well 16 himars on a 1000 km front line doing 70% of work... Are you dumb or what 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
This is just a small number of the HIMARS systems the US currently has available - and these systems are "only" 80km (50mi) range. The US has more of these systems and some with almost 500km (300mi) range. Just think what Ukraine could do with more of these.

I sincerely hope Western support for Ukraine’s military efforts to defend themselves against this Russian aggression is expedited with all possible haste. Now is the time, before winter fully sets in, that Ukraine must move to regain as much territory as possible.
At this moment in time, the main priority will be to maximise Russian casualties. This will just add more pressure on Putin, increase conscription resistance and add to protests. Along with sanctions we can see Russia starting to crack.

yea the Russians don't teach that part. they make it sound like they won the great war all on their own. they don't even recognize the amount of equipment the US sent them to stop the germen advance. it was only that, that gave Russia time to get it's own industry relocated to deep Siberia.
US, my country, and NATO should've been doing this back in 12/21 to thwart the orcs invading Ukraine's borders! They thought it was going to be a cakewalk and it was until they started getting supplied w/ more than defensive antitank weaponry! There's NO telling how many lives were lost due to lack of support for Ukraine!
US and other countries both overestimated the Russian military and underestimated Ukrainian capabilities. They didn't think there would be a standing army left after Russia invaded and were instead preparing Ukraine for a guerilla war not unlike Afghanistan fought against Russia a few decades ago. In fact the quick defeat of Afghani military after the US left the country further cemented the view that an direct conflict would be a one-sided victory for Russia.
The US/UK/Canada miliaries along with the CIA have been in Ukraine since 2014 training them along with providing military and economic aid. I think they were withholding advanced/heavy weaponry to see if Ukrainians would actually stand up for themselves or not because, let's be honest, in 2014 they didn't.
There's also the reality that sending tens of billions of equipment to Ukraine would not have been a very popular move politically if they weren't in a full scale war like they are now. It's cynical but something politicians have to take into account.
Absolutely right. We should have started arming Ukraine in 2014. We should have been giving them weapons just as if they were a NATO member. If we had done that, this war would have never happened.
@@jamesstreet228 It would've only sped up the invasion as Putin had long been looking for an excuse. He never got one so he made up his own.

Guardians of the Steppe! Hail Ukraine!
Someone, I think King55 below, mentioned ATACMS. ATACMS have already been in country in two variants; STAKY air base. It comes down to war reserve inventories meant to back up potential operational requirements. US had just under 3,000 ATACMS in inventory but they also want to control them only for approved targeting such as STAKY, as part of war gaming the whole thing. The ATACMS has a fake six panel covering the back of the single round pod so no one will ever know. The Russians know but there is nothing that they can do. They complained about HARM too, after it was quietly given to Ukraine. It comes down to supply of pods. A rough guess is that NATO started out with 59,000 GMLRS missiles and US manufactures only 7,200 a year, and they are blowing through a lot. Of the 59,000, US probably started with an inventory of 25,000. These are all guesses but you get the idea. These things don’t grow on trees. You can have 550 launch systems but of course they are useless without the pods. They’ve also received close to a million rounds of 155 from US inventory which is quite a production chunk. Germany has given them 10,000 rounds which is a day or two supply. A lot of ordinance is evaporating and it has to be managed, not only politically. Having said that, the Ukrainians have shown that they know how to effectively use what they are given. They have put the western training that they have received over the years to good use and they are ‘can do’ and ‘will do’ and they will push the Russians through the winter, killing their logistics and their morale. The Russians will have no food, no ammo, and they have no cause or non-com leadership. Russian officers have died “accidentally” since the early days, wait till a cold winter hits them in the field.
Someone also mentioned that the Chinese have given the Russians access to their commercial drone software. The Ukrainians knew that and altered the software.
Extremely insightful

As relieved as I am that Ukraine has been able to understand & make excellent use of all the military weapons they've been given, it fills me with remorse that Afghanistan could never make such use of the aide we were trying to give them. My God, the USA was in Afghanistan for 19 years, trying to help. Perhaps someday things will change for the better there.
But for now - Slava Ukraini!
You can’t help those who refuse to be helped.. unfortunately this is the case in Afghanistan
If that can be done with just 16 units…
I wonder more what they’re resupplying them with.
what i wanna know is how do you load it?
Key feature that wasn't discussed regarding the MLRS (HIMARS) systems is precision.
M270 and M142 are much more precise than what was Ukraine was previously using, namely Soviet era Grads and Uragans.
Soviet era Smerch rockets can hit further than standard HIMARs munitions but again lacks precision.
Ukraine also has (very) few upgraded Vilkha and Burevia systems but those are marginally better than the Soviet systems which those are based on.
They also have M982 Excalibur rounds for the M77's. Those are 155mm GPS programmable artillery rounds. And has a range of 40km's.
Everyone hates the military-industrial complex until the barbarians are at the gates and your running low on arrows
The problem is we have 1 factory that produces 8,000 GMLRS a year. Realistically, we should be building another factory.
The demand is going to way outstrip supply.
And, you can imagine the HIMARS production is even slower.
@16vjtdalfa I saw that interview. They said they are producing 7500 a year with capacity of 10000 a year. And, possibly raise to 12-14K a month.
Oh yeah, 18-24 months to increase "significant" quantities. Missile making workers...aren't a known resource.
@16vjtdalfa Meant annually not monthly.
HIMARS is extremely expensive. Each rocket costs $120,000 & each launcher costs $4 million.
Imagine the damage a company of abrams tanks and an A10 squadron would do
Given the recent success of Ukrainian victories, and a few key comments from Ukrainian forces as to being fully equipped with plenty of ammunition, it is a great thing to see that Ukraine is being given enough support to push Russia back to it's borders. It's also good to see how Russians no longer support Putin, the man behind this madness.
Time for ATACMS and the tungsten frag missiles that destroy troop encampments in trenches or bunkers.
Bring on... TOPOL M free for NATO Jihadists BOT
Time for B-2 Bombers
Nope: ATACMS with high explosive warheads to destroy Kerch bridges and stop the southern ruzian logistic...BUT Ukraine as minimum one launcher of Hrim-2 ukrainian made missiles (500km range 500kg warhead , GPS guidance), some think that the first use from this missiles was to destroy Novofedorivka ruzian airbase in Crimea...)

There is a infra night light switch for operating military vehicles at night. If any of my soldiers made a mistake of showing any lights on operations they would be on extra guard duty. Joking apart any NATO soldiers understands night light discipline. Also neither side uses infra red camoflage nets.British & US military have for years. I guess its more important to send ammo than cam nets
Three possible excuses: 1. That particular night shot might have being taken far away from the enemy lines. 2. A camera in the night shot mode might get some IR through. 3. Your tactical rule is not that efficient nowadays when even some smartphones have NIR sensitive cameras.
Power of powers
I'd love to send them Abrams tanks, but they're too heavy for the terrain and need ridiculous amounts of logistical support to be effective. Not a practical option.
Also ukrainians arent trained for them. What we need are training for ukrainian crews for leopards and other european tanks. And logistic hubs for repairing old soviet tanks for ukraine. Repairing an old destroyed tank is just as good as sending in a new one
Just imagine if Ukraine had 50 HIMARS,500 Bayraktar TB2 Drones, 20 ABRAMS, 30 NASAMS, 10 APACHE Helicopters, 10 F16 fighter jets. Just this will be more than enough to push the Russians out for good.
I think not that Ukraine need realy more Himars, but they need ATACMS missiles to destroy the ruzian logistic routes (bridges, airfields) , yes some modern tanks (i think Leopard 2 are better because more rugged engines) and lot of Nasams to protect they cities from orcs terror attacks...
They need also people to operate all of this. Both sides reported lost thousands per day... it huge amount.
20 abrams are nothing.
But 30 Nasams would be great.
@@Frunze91 I guess so
Plz add to the list the majesty of Bayraktar TB2 drones and the party will be completed
i am so proud of the 🐑russians 🐑
for running away🏃♀🏃♂🏃🤸♂
HIMARS O'clock y'all!
There is probably no one on Earth who doesn't know that war is a wrong thing to do.
And we all know that an act of aggression is something that should never be done by anyone who sees it.
But, sadly, we have to admit that there are people in this world who think differently than us.
Such people need some strong and decisive response, but it is not for everyone that the war is too long.
In fact, it was best to prepare in advance so that war did not happen in the first place.
However, the international community is also responsible for the outbreak of war.
So, it may be a better option to acknowledge and accept the reality of what is happening, to end the war as soon as possible, and then focus on how to prevent future threats.
Just as the lockdown period shouldn't be too long just because the corona outbreak occurs, likewise, war shouldn't make the war too long.
The main audience must not be transmitted.
We need to think about the fundamental purpose of our life.,
This is best example why the world needs US leadership, while EU major powers are reluctant to aid Ukraine with effective weapons and still believe they should avoid any significant gesture that makes Putin angry, US is there for Ukraine, most EU countries specially Germany and France still in their delusion that collaboration with authoritarian regimes is the best approach, they are doing the same thing with China and it won't be long before their mighty China teaches them a far more devastating lesson than the one their beloved Russia did.
Credit to Poland and the Baltic States though. Little Estonia has the highest per capita support for Ukraine of anyone. And US? - has been brilliant.
US must give 200km range systems as well.
we have already said NO...
@@michaelcraig58 why no ?
@@michaelcraig58 c'mon, everyone reserves the right to change their minds. It's called 'adapting'.

How do you aim with these things?
The missiles are guided, so you don't need to point it directly at the target like old artillery cannons. The biggest advantage of this is just how accurate it is.
@@wc8246 HIMARS is extremely expensive. Each rocket costs $120,000 & each launcher costs $4 million.
Holly Himars)))
Fantastic piece of kit well done USA Slava Ukraine
USA needs to give Ukraine 16 more Himars. For obvious reasons.
You didn't watch the video did you?

ruZZian military is the the 2nd strongest military… (in Ukraine) 😆😂🤣
🇺🇦 Слава Україні!
So who is the fist? Ukraine doesn't have military...it was only AZOFF and AZOTT, both destroyed.
I’m all for giving them all the wasted abrams we have sitting in storage. I know infrastructure issues are a concern but if you can set up tank repair depots, river crossing apparatus’, etc in Iraq and Afghanistan why can’t you do it in ukraine?
Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦
