With blushes I dont like I try to pair them with another one to change the color a lil. It really seams to help with panning. It has helped me hit pan on 3 brand new bushes so far this year.
@@RachaelStephanie yes it does. I just hit pan an a 4th blush the other day due to this style. I have learned I really like blush lol, but I have also learned I dont need to buy any more this year.😂
Thoroughly enjoyed the update! 🌟 I hate using blushes I don't like.....so I feel for you on the Galifornia. I've got an old Dior blush (probably seven years old now) that is hot pink and extremely pigmented; I force myself to use it every now and then because it was so costly. So I feel ya on the Benefit! Would you please do a tour of your Beauty set up?....I can see some exciting lip products over your shoulder😉. Also, would you consider introducing us to your dog? I'd love ❤️ to 'meet' him/her and I'm positive most others would also!
Thank you! Yeah, it can be tough going when you use stuff you don't love! Past Rachael, from my late teens would have loved the shade, but my preferences have really changed. I can definitely show my beauty set up. The background was not as tidy as I would like in this video....my floors were finally installed a few days ago and I had to move everything all over again! I can certainly film the room tour (the room is tiny though, so not much to tour!). I'm sure Stanley would love to get in a video....he seems to love to make himself heard the second I sit down to film!!
Your lipstick progress is so impressive! I was able to finish up 2 full size lip pencils for my main project pan the way you did in that I wore them all the time and reapplied as much as my lips could stand to finish it. I was wearing makeup like you many days a week as I was on zoom A LOT for work. Good luck with your blushes and hair stuff.
Shower foams seem awesome! I wish we had them in Canada. I think we talked about it at one point but it’s nice to see you using lesser favourites during lockdown, that’s definitely what I did. I didn’t see anything get finished but I’m continuing on. Problem now is that my skin tone has changed with the arrival of summer so I have to wait til the fall again to start using the products I was pandemic “panning” again.
Oh wow - you don't have them? Maybe there is a way to get them online? Amazon maybe? It's been really useful being home all the time, in that respect. It's meant it have been easier to use stuff that I don't feel is the most flattering, because nobody has been seeing me! That's a bit annoying - if you wanted to, maybe you would be able to use other products to adjust the shade? Maybe a bronzer etc. but, saying that, there's part of me that would want to make the most of having naturally more tanned skin!
Rachael Stephanie I’ll have to look on amazon, it sounds really nice. I have a bunch of bath and body works to get through but once I’m through them it seems like a good idea to check out. I was using the unflattering stuff too, foundation particularly, my Too Faced peach perfect. And it’s such a weird texture that it doesn’t mix well, I think honest 3-4 more uses and it will be done. Bronzer seems like a good idea too. Because I’m of Irish/Dutch descent I’m soooo pale in winter and then can get 3-4 shades darker and I end up mixing products between hahah
How are you settling in? From the close up of the lipstick, it looks like you have flooring in your home. Is it complete or does it still need work? When you’ve settled into your filming space, I’d love to see a room tour, and how you’ve set up your collection :) Those are some of my favourite videos to watch, since I get so many ideas for organizing my own space. 👋👋👋 Have a great day and we’ll see you on your next update!
I think in that shot, you can see my kitchen tiles and the wood floor in the hallway! The kitchen and bathrooms were already done, but yes!! the rest of the flooring is all in. The house is now pretty much done. I'm awaiting delivery of the new bed for the guest bedroom, and otherwise, it's just accessorising/soft furnishings. I can certainly do a room tour, but the beauty/filming room is very small - wouldn't be much of a tour LOL!
I've had the wetnwild breezy lipstick. I got rid of it because it didn't flatter me either. I dislike shimmery lipsticks on me. Great update! Great progress!
Sorry if I already asked Rach but have you tried the benefit rerelease of Sugarbomb or Georgia ? Georgia has gotten crap reviews , I bought the Sugarbomb mini and I am loving it :) I looked into the full size and it appears no longer available anywhere . However if you were interested in trying both or Sugarbomb and the new HL (don’t remember if it’s tickle or cookie ) but they also have a trio of tickle or cookie HL, Georgia AND Sugarbomb! It’s like buy 2 get one free. I already have cookie so I passed on it. But I think you may like Sugarbomb and I’m not sure if it’s going into the permanent lineup or just a limited edition item.
I haven't yet! It's a shame it's had bad reviews, because I've been really eyeing up Georgia! I think I may wait until I can at least swatch it in person, to avoid disappointment. The shade is right up my street! Same with the highlighters - I've been really interested in those too, because Benefit highlighters are just so pretty. I may order minis instead...that way it isn't as much money, and not as much product being introduced to my collection. But to answer your question, I've not tried them, but am interested :)
Rachael Stephanie the negative reviews haven’t bashed the shade , just said there’s no payoff, no matter how much is applied, and some of the girls who said this were quite fair. Straight up orangey peach isn’t my jam but I LOVE benefits Gold Rush. So underrated imo. That and Dallas are so pretty. Gold rush looks so pretty in summer, kind of a sheeny peach heavy w slight pink. Whereas Georgia looks matte I believe .
Hi hun. I would like your opinion on something. I am considering buying 10 empty pallets/or making my own and depot all my shadows. Then I want to sort it by colour for eg. put all the purples I own in one palette. Do you think that its worth the effort? I just think I will get more use out of everything I've got. What do you think? Is it a good or a bad idea and worth the effort? Xxxxx
If you like sorting things by colour, then this could be a great change for you but if you have multiple palettes, all sorted by colour you may find that you don’t use different colours as much, because pre-made palettes have various shades all together, but that problem exists no matter how you sort your shadows. Go with your gut 🥰🥰
Rachael the progress on your lipstick is awesome!! Congratulations
Thanks so much!

That’s what I’ve been doing with the two shades in this project. It’s working quite well. 😌🤗

That is awesome! Amazing progress! Thank you - they will be challenging, but I will just keep at it :)

I definitely prefer matte or creme finishes! Thank you!
I love your makeup look. Please do a tutorial on this look. You are so pretty. Xxxx
Thank you! I have filmed this look ! :) xx
omg, you popped up on my screen and the first thing i thought was: Your eyeshadow looks gorgeous!! just had to say that haha
Thank you! I’ve filmed the look, hopefully the video is good enough to upload 🤣
@@RachaelStephanie oehhh i hope so too! Would love to recreate it😍
