Optimus prime rlc by hotwheels is sold out now, some people are selling for $220 to $300, maybe hotwhelss realese this model for to normal version more economic.
The problem with this is that it is a recreation of the first toy that was a complete and werid representation of what was seen in the cartoon. Look at his skinny forearms and see through chest. Why they didnt mimick the more current accurate toys i dont know. Most HW peope who bought this probably have no clue what optimus really looks like. They either got it for resell or becasue of the hot wheels name. Anyhow there are far better optimus primes out there if you are a transformers fan. For well under $80 as well and far more detail. So for those who are disappointed dont fret. Seriously just look it up. There is a few cool Movie optimus from the bumblebee movie that had a lot of G1 styling to him. They are so dang cool. Check em out...
Its a crossover optimus in HW size. Its not meant to replace those toys. HW has done some weird stuff, like a batmobile with mystery machine deco. I bought it bc I thought it was cool. I buy what I like, I say it all the time. I also say that you should open and display the toys we collect bc you can't show off boxes!

I get that people who don't collect transformers think it's cool and all. But just saying it's based off the worst (imo) design of a generation 1 toy. They could have done a much more detailed and faithful adaptation of the character. But they choose to scale down the original toy. Which is exactly what they did. They even have a video about it. It's a tiny 1/64 diecast toy. So I totally understand comments about it being too expensive. because those comments are NOT wrong. Sure you can sell it for $200 but that doesn't make the $80 anymore legit. Again there are far better Optus primes out there WITH some metal parts, bigger scale, better detail for less than $60. Nice packaging as well. So where is the $80 justification for this?? the factorany but 2 or 3. I'm guessing because it was a collab both Mattel and Hasbro wanted huge profits and they knew they would get it from fans of both franchises easily. Prices for RLC/HWC has been out of control for around 5 years now. They have upped production beyond what a limited collectable should be and they upped the price.That's not how it's supposed to work. 😂
