Filmed on April 8th, this trip was a testament to the perseverance required in tough fishing conditions. The Striped Bass were stacked on the bottom, demanding precision and patience from the anglers to keep their lures dragging along the bottom and in the strike zone. Despite the challenging bite, the crew persevered, catching a mixed bag of overs a slots in the high double digits, at times catching 2 and 3 Stripers at a time. Although it was grind at time, we were marking fish in large numbers - a promising sign for the upcoming weeks as water temperatures rise and the larger migratory fish make their way into Raritan Bay.
