Great work very informative! Very interesting technique using the mojo on the umbrella to get it down rather than a trolling weight, may try this out next time. "31 inches" lol keep up the good work!
No. My wife got me those for Christmas last year. I’m good with the boat rebuilds I haven’t tried to make rigs but my try it one day. I’m working on a shop to be built on my property next year. Then I can work out of there going fwd. more how to vids and some other stuff I’m looking to film.
Buddy of mine gave to me when he sold his boat. I actually found them a bunch of years ago in a box I had stored. They do come in handy for that type of fishing. Should be able to get on most fishing tackle sites . Those are made by Reliable. Thx u for checking out the video 👍
When filleting it I trim out the pin bones then clean as much of the left over blood line off. Then I cut in to small steak size portions top side to bottom. Much easier to cook them that way.
Those have 60 # braid. Came with the set ups. I got them at a local place called The Fishing Flea Market in Keyport NJ. Great guys there. They worked great all day.
About 75-100 feet it really depended on how deep the water was and we’re I was marking fish. So I adjusted as that changed. I was trolling the edge of a shipping Chanel where the depth changed from 18-20ft to 35-60ft with the high tide.
Appreciate it. Never trolled a mojo set up before definitely going to this year , I saw your depth and that’s right around my depth where I’ll be running the mojo at high tide
I’m up in mass ,buzzards bay 30 min from cape cod canal , I was hearing that a lot of guys are jigging the 20oz mojo rather then trolling , basically a jig jig jig retrieve , then drop . Repeat
Love the catch clean cook! Well done!
Pretty work man. Love the video

Thank you sir.
Do you scrape the lateral line off before you eat it or when you clean it?

Are you using wire or lead core line or just braid
80# fluro that came with those set ups.
I am new to trolling. Can anyone provide links to the umbrella and mojo rigs?
What kind of line is that on the poles?

I cook it in aluminum foil hot bags on the grill, add cherry tomatoes and peppers before cooking
Hey how much line were you letting on the mojo ??

Do you have your camera on a gimble?
No I use a tripod that folds in to a boom stick. It just so happens to fit perfect in a rod holder as well
Stripper doesn’t last long in the freezer without getting mushy, bluefish and albacore last a long time.
