hey i play on computer and when i tryed all this i used to play fine on 144z and now after i did this am playing on 60 and i cant change it do you think you could help
@@Big_jayz make sure you set your hz to 144 when you apply paste in all the details at the top you also have to scroll down to change the hertz

if you’re on laptop just stop at 1:27, then put the file back on read only and it works (just make sure not to put it on windowed or change res while in the game)

If I have a laptop connected to a monitor will this work as it isn’t recommended for a laptop?
It will work with a external monitor connection just not with normal laptop only monitor

restart windows in safe mode find the file reset all and do the steps again you can't do this with a laptop unless you have a external monitor and you can't press restart 64 after doing the steps this is most likely the reason for your problem

Oliver So sorry that happened this may not work if your monitor is older or the gpu isn’t willing to be compatible. Also this vid may not still be relevant as It was made at the start of the year game files may have changed and the CRU link I have may be outdated. With your monitor issue you need to boot into windows safe mode and delete the software or wipe your pc clean if the problem persist! Once again very sorry this happened I simple uploaded what worked for me and didn’t give me any issues have a great day Oliver!

If you have a separate monitor you can do it just be sure you are stretching that one and not your actually laptop

@@r1kr0l80 you may just want to reset everything and try differently I don’t know how it works with 2 monitors I think it is different sort of I only used one sorry the vid made it worse! Also be sure not to press restart 64 it can give you issues to I didn’t know when I made the vid but after putting everything on just restart normally
i did it the way you did it and my screen wouldnt turn on but i deleted it and i downloaded again but this time i restarted regularly like from the pc and it worked
Awesome yea that is my fault for some people restart 64 blackscreen every time for me it worked that’s why I told everyone to do it. Glad you fixed the issue!

You can do it with or without I personal used amd before getting a 3080ti so I didn’t bother with that section and it worked well for me I didn’t touch my nvidia panel for this tutorial

Just do the math find the diff between 1920 and 1366x and the diff between 768x and 1080 then you would just add or subtract that to the res I used
This resulition on 2560x1440 monitors please???
1720 by 1080 is about 700 pixel diff so stretch it to that 700 pixels different

When I did this my screen was glitching out completely like I’ve never seen before. I have a good PC
As I have told other people before this method may no longer work I do still know people who are doing it and having no issues! so press the reset all file and everything will be fixed! The most probable cause of your issue was just a minor mistake that led to the glitching so if/when you attempt it again double check everything is as demonstrated in the video.

Make sure the game res in the game files is set to your res your using. Make sure all the resolutions are lined up the in game res the file res and the CRU res and the PC Res in settings

be sure you change your game files back then go to the reset all file and it will undo all the changes you made

I have not heard of anyone encountering this issue. the best advice I could give you would be to use reset all files and undo all changes and if the problem is still persistent make sure you have Windows up to date and do not have any viruses use Malwarebytes free trial/ if everything is good you could try again and make sure you do all the steps exactly as I did

Not sure why that would be a issue you most likely incorrectly did a step wrong if the sound is not in your game you messed up in the game files. As this tutorial is a little older everything I did in the video may no longer be compatible and that may be the cause of your issue so sorry you don’t have any audio if the problem persist re install fort or if it is you computer factory reset it!

he says in the video. you have to run the restart program in the folder. when i first tried this mine bugged out and wasnt working. after some research i found all you had to do was run that program.
downloading this completely broke my computer. it now saids that my monitors input timing is not supported by the monitor display, and now my right monitor is not turning on. I am currently factory resetting my computer, if you guys want to play stretched rez just play with windowed fullscreen

Sorry that happened I pinned the comment warning people it doesn’t work on laptop. You need a external monitor to do this. Your pc is going to a blue screen so you need to restart on windows safe mode and uninstall the cru software i pinned the video I made showing people how to do it hope this helps!

Reset windows in safe mode and go to your files click reset all do the steps again but DO NOT Click restart 64 or the other restart file just restart like normal that’s why your getting the black screen

i have 500hz that option wont pop up on CRU
Wow 500hz is so new and extremely difficult to maintain in-game I don't think they have any option at all for 500hz honestly if you can keep 500 frames in game then you don't need stretched res at all one of the main points is fps saving. But if you are really set on having stretched res you will have to use a diff software I believe CRU max frames is 240hz

you must have done a step incorrectly please go back and make sure you did all the steps right. This video is older so it may be outdated. I know people that still do this method works fine so you just did a step wrong!
@@fuzz570 I just did it and and when my monitor is at 1920x1080 it is stuck at 60hz and when I switch it to the custom res that I created it goes to 144hz. I did all the steps correctly is there anything I can do?
@@itaibamba7728 Hey! make sure you switch the res and hertz on your PC itself in the windows settings to so it co aligns with the res and hertz you set in CRU! If you monitor is only capable of 60hz you need to leave the CRU hertz to 60hz I just demonstrated 144hz in the video because that is my monitor speed

Be sure it is set your your native hertz for example 144hz you need to set it to that when you apply your res and. Change it

You have to set this as your disable resolution in your windows settings after you restart

@@Flitzsugardaddy is you monitor stretched normally on windows if not you didn’t do all the steps in cru right make sure you followed along if. If it is stretched in windows but not in game be sure you set your game files to that res like I showed in the first part and be sure you are playing on full screen mode

My monitor won’t turn on after the restart…
I accidentally told everyone to use restart 64 in the tutorial which is my fault it will cause black screen everytime. Restart in safe mode and uninstall the software then do it again and just restart normally when your completed

Stef when I made this vid I was unaware but it you cannot get stretched res on a laptop unless you use a external monitor. You will need to restart in safe mode and press reset all in the CRU files I explain it my last vid a little better hope this helps!

Make sure you didn’t mess up anything you should be at 144 if that is your native hertz when your putting the res in you have to change the hertz aswell

I didn’t mess up on a step and it’s still going black screen
I had the same issue with mine I black screened the first time try restarting in windows safe mode I uninstalled Cru redownloaded and tried again and it worked

You can’t get a virus from doing this sorry that happened if it is bad factory reset your PC but you have some other problem-stretching your monitor can’t give you a virus they CRU file won’t either unless you downloaded it from somewhere else’s

@@Ygt6fttr in the game user setting set the “resolution x” and “resolution y” to what ever you want and then scroll down to the “desired screen length” and “desired screen width” and apply the same thing. I was a laptop player who had the same problem this fixed it Gl.

Seems like a issue with the software try te installing it or making sure you have the proper one
