@619 OG Is Terrorizer even Terrorizer though? Pete is the only guy left. Oscar has Terrorizer LA going but I think they only play World Downfall material.
Kyle Thomas is fucking killing it, dude knows how to riff his throat! Guitar sounds brutal with crushing palm-muted gallop riffs, like clockwork following rapid drum patterns. So fucking glad Exhorder is back! Cheers to all Exhorder fans!
Proof that Gary Holt is a huge influence on all thrash guitar players and the undisputed king! I take nothing away from Exhorder - the track is magnificent!
Jan Patrick Lucas Vinnie and Jason did jam with some of the Exodus cats at one point no too long ago. That said, Vinnie’s style has always been his own-ain’t nobody out there anywhere near him, and that’s exactly what “Mourn The Southern Skies” is about to show errybody.
So happy to see you guys back again!! My old guitar player (Jeff from Legion Of Death) used to trade tapes with you guys waaaaay back in the day. Killer riffs, drums, and vocals; just the way Exhorder used to be. Welcome back!!
i started listening you years ago when there was no hope to see a reunion, and being here to listen a new record has no price i saw you live when you played in the castle in verona, killer set. cheers from italy
@Shannon Hughes never met these cats. Went to some shows back in the 'nam. But, it's on my to-do list. It doesn't hurt that they sound fukkin' fuel, either. So, I'm lookin' forward to it. nah.
Out of all the bands i thought would make an album this band woukd have been right at the bottom. So glad the Groove Metal pioneers are back with a new album next month!

Every time I come back to this, I get all tingly. I finally spoke to Kyle last week for my show, and he was so amazingly cool. I can only wish I was this rad. Wow.
I’m gonna say four things about this: 1. It’s not a whole lot like my favorite Exhorder songs, like Desecrator and Incontinence. 2. It’s 2019, and fans can’t expect Exhorder of 2019 to sound exactly like Exhorder of 1992. 3. This is the best new metal release I’ve heard in over 20 years. 4. I’m so incredibly glad I got tickets to the show in October at Howlin’ Wolf!
jlanthripp so agreed with literally everything you said-especially the last bit about the NOLA show (heading there from Austin myself)!! Also, just loving all the Exodus comparisons. Guaranfuckingteed if Exhorder hadn’t imploded multiple times over these last 20-odd years, these haters would be on the complete flip side. Regardless, to them I wholeheartedly send the most repeated three words on display here... #gofuckyourself Cheers, dude! 🤘🔥❤️🔥🤘
Who comes out of the woodwork after almost 30 years to drop the best album of the last year? Like seriously, where the fuck did this come from? I'm so happy to have it btw.
Omg!! Finally!! I have been waiting for this for a long fuckin time man.. and it was definitely worth the wait.. this shit kills!! Kyle's voice is amazing and those guitar tones are so sick it's ridiculous man.. I love it! Thanks for posting this..
The modern update of "Take This Job And Shove It." Great stuff, ticks all of the boxes on the subject. Every line, a treasured moment. Perfect synchronized video too. Love the facial expression of the welder when he's summoned by the douchebag boss. Perfection!
Ok....I've listened to this "over and over again "...I haven't heard such perfect thrash since Exodus released Tempo of the Damned...this stuff is flawless...wow...
Wish dime and vinnie was here to hear this. This track is beyond awesome. The first thrash song ever to bring tears of joy. His voice and those riffs just slam ya.
@@Blacktooth-yr7ck Hell yeah, with opening acts, prong and floodgate. That was the singer of exhorders band afterwards. Little like DOWN but awesome. They might have been before down. Can't remember.
Yes yes yes, EXHORDER is back. The law and slaughter in the Vatican are two of the best metal albums of all time. I can't believe it. Now if the original believer got back together I'd be ready for the upper room.
Love it! But did Gary Holt write this song?. 'Shovel Headed Kill Machine’ comes to mind on the intro and the solo. I love Exhorder, glad they’re back, saw them live at St. Vitus last year when they played SITV and they killed it.
@@serpentheadedmask9 youre right, man. he does kinda sound like dukes here, and thats not the exhorder sound that made them my favorite band. kyle has taken great care of his voice over the years compared to anselmo, for example. i thought new exhorder was gunna sound as raw as ever, but its pretty polished up. this sounds like new testament to me with rob dukes on vocals.
Not for nothing y’all, but we’ve NEVER heard an Exhorder album with complete and full support from their management/label nor with them having had the time or choice (really) of studios/producers. Obviously there’s gonna be some comparison to Exodus, but they’re both thrash bands, FFS-and no disrespect to Rob Dukes, but I bet he wishes he could hold his own with Kyle Thomas. Exodus and Exhorder are both thrash bands. Exodus were influenced by groove metal in their more modern day incarnations, Exhorder were the original band to bridge the gap between Trash and Groove (well they basically "invented" groove metal, but early groove was still very thrash some of the time)
Anyone giving this a thumbs down shouldn’t have listened in the first place, you don’t deserve to hear the sweet sounds of my Nola brothers kicking ass and taking names. Great job Kyle & Co, love that ya’ll do what is true to you. Fucking awesome.
This sounds more akin to modern Exodus than the classic Exhorder I used to know, however, since the more recent works of Exodus are actually my favorite ones I have nothing to complain about. Truth be told, this sounds REALLY good!!!
The most underrated thrash metal band. Amazing song.
Underrated? Who ever underrated Exhorder? 🤷♂️
They’re underrated in general but they’re quite well known in the underground metal scene
True!
