True. I over analyze everything and have constant inner commentary on the external happenings and it takes all the joy of being present in the moment away.
“I over analyze everything.” Most of us do. It’s the modern day human condition. Instead of fighting off lions, tigers and bears for survival. We’re left with fighting our thoughts… for survival.

Shunryu Suzuki Roshi "To stop your mind (to let the mind be silent) does not mean to stop the activities of mind. It means your mind (sentience) pervades your whole body." page 41 "Zen Mind, Beginner Mind" Letting everything settle to the level of bodily felt sensation can give us a global sensation of the entire body. This we can call the beginning of presence. Simple presence that is associated with the physical body but over time can reveal that it is not limited to the physical form in fact simple presence is non-phenomenological. In a sense we learn to arrive where the body already is. At first we learn whole body awareness then we may eventually discover that awareness is not limited to the form of the body. This form of the body is only given to us as an experience or appearance due to the outer six senses. If we 'drop in' and allow a felt sense of simple presence, we are opening to and being receptive to presence which can reveal itself to include the appearance of the physical form and also not necessarily be limited to the form. The body appears as form but in its more subtle aspect it is presence; it is the matrix of all divine possibility that to the outer senses appears in form here in this world we know as a world of separate bodies. However we may may discover that 'this world' is what appears to the mode of our perception that is developmental and we have implicitly learned that tells us: "I am 'in here' in this separate body and everything else is 'out there' as a world I see as all sorts and sizes of separate bodies including other people as well as all objects including such bodies as the sun, moon and galaxies etc.

Even in sleep, thoughts continue as dreams, images. The mind is a non-stop chatting radio!
