And that level of garbage basically only happens at SMM1 due to lack of 'BOO' mechanic.
The boo button was probably one of, if not, the best new feature in MM2 and you really miss it when you go back to play MM1

The boo button makes it so that you almost only get the levels that people upvote, while the booed levels are lost in the void. In SMM1 you never know what kind of crazy weird shit you might get. Which is a lot more exciting and interesting to watch. (i can't speak for playing because i only watch)
Also if every level is good then our standard rises and they all literally become average. You need bad levels to have good levels. This is what the buddhists mean with yin and yang.

Imagine that you are in space or the void and all you know is an apple in front of you
. You wouldn't call it a good apple because you have nothing to compare it to. It would just be an apple. But now if we add a spoiled apple suddenly we can make a value judgement and say that's a bad apple, and we can say the other apple is a good apple. Because it's better than the spoiled apple.
Without apples of different qualities its impossible to judge the quality of apples. This is the case for almost everything you value. So the reason you can value something is because there is something else you dont value.
First level is literally titled "Off-screen jump," so yeah, seems pretty tight.
the creative garbage that was made in SMM1 is honestly insane
ikr smm2 garbage is boring and all the same usually invis blocks/softlocks/trolls but smm has such creative incredibly horrible garbage levels,
I'm certain that SMM2 has just as much. The difference is that SMM2 has the Boo button, which filters them out of Endless runs. SMM1's algorithm probably thought that people sinking a lot of attempts into them meant they were good. lol
@@BladeOfLight16 another thing about smm is most of the time people actually beat their incredibly garbage levels legit, and they dont usually have dev exits

I think the idea is you challenge the boo hit boxes and hold up and when the key spawns, it will take you through the key door

And this is exactly why i don't play super expert much. Most of the levels have a high death rate because of cheap deaths and spam, not because they're actually difficult.
Man, I’m so glad there’s no boo button in MM1. The ridiculous garbage is what makes it special and great. Also, I miss the days of Ryu proclaiming, on his last life, that he had saved his best attempt for last…only to die miserably and immediately one final time. That was always great hilarity.
