I was doing fine until the Pokemon sounds started coming through the Skype call and then I absolutely lost it
I love not understanding a single one of the mcelroys pop culture references but still clinging onto and laughing at every word
The reference at 1:46 "Pokemon" refers to a series of video games (and more generally its associated media and products including several animated adaptations) primarily centred around capturing and training monsters (the eponymous Pokemon, short for Pocket Monsters) for combat against other such monsters. The music that can be heard in the background after this is the music typically played during the combat portions of these games.

Ditto (Japanese: メタモン Metamon) is a Normal-type Transform Pokémon that is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon. Ditto uses the move Transform to copy the opponent's moves, types, form, and non-HP stats. It can breed with any Pokémon other than the Pokémon in the Undiscovered group and itself, including male Pokémon and some genderless Pokémon, to produce Eggs of the other's species.
In its natural state, Ditto is a pinkish magenta free-form shape blob with vestigial facial features. It also appears to have two vestigial, handless 'arms' protruding from its body. However, it can take the form of anything, even inanimate objects. Its height is 1'00" and weight is 8.8 lbs.

Yo I love Pokémon Sword and Shield for the Nintendo DS
This bit made me so angry. I was making dinner while listening to this episode and as soon as Travis started talking I went "DUTCH!" "It's DUTCH!". Anyway I love these good, good elder Millennials who, like me, watched too many movies on TNT or whatever with their dad.
That's one of the big draws to MBMBAM for me too. These dudes make some deep cuts that make long dormant neurons shoot off in my brain and I love them for it.
i love when Travis and Justin just talk facts abt a movie despite knowing and often because it's torturing Griffin.

Ok so Griffin uses an Aigeslash, I can't make out what he was fighting due to Travis' laugh, but it was a wild encounter in Sword/Shield.
