Who won?
Just the other day I was cleaning up my UA-cam subscription list. I nearly unsubscribed from your channel. I'm pleased that I didn't unsubscribe. Great to have you back "on air".
Good to see you back! Congratulations on the grand reopening! :D
I've never seen a vertical CNC before - a very novel concept! Love it :D
I believe it's a dunny in the southern hemisphere, and a water closet in the northern. BTW, If you need more noise for filming, I'm sure we can charter some flights to go overhead if you like 😎
You might be able to quiet the plastic drainage lines with some kind of high-mass insulation and there are probably people out there that would have some ideas, but I've never actually done this myself.
Replacing plastic with iron is the best solution, but would be too expensive to retrofit. Even putting high-density cellulose or foam in the walls and door of the restroom could help and should also improve the overall privacy of that room if that were deemed desirable, but this might require treating the joist spaces above the wall to keep sound from traveling over the walls as well. Caulking can help seal underneath the walls if this isn't already done. Yes, that can make a difference.
As built today, restrooms are basically drums that seem to amplify rather than muffle the sounds from within. Very old buildings are invariably much better in this regard.
I live in an apartment building where the turdtubes from my neighbours are visibly running above my head in my toilet. Same for all floors. Weirdly, maybe because they're made of some form of iron (yes, really) they're silenced enough by just having installed a lowered ceiling. So high-mass insulation sounds like that might work very well. Never heard of that but putting two and two together now.... yeah. Works.
Iron... They made turdtubes into floors/ceilings and walls.... made of iron. That rusts. In the storage area one tube had to be replaced already since these were built in the 60's and it was leaking. Rusted through. Or maybe some dude just had very aggressive turds.
And I just know there is going to come a time where I am taking a dump myself while getting the lovely turdwater from above dripping on my head. One of my fears while on the toilet. Very glad though that I do not live in Australia where I have to fear all sorts of creatures. The worst I have found was a huntsman spider. And wasps.
I'll look into that. thanks :)
Hey he is back! Pretty neat lil work shop! Looks the goods 👌🏽 cheers for the giveaway, welcoming little gift for your fellow subscribers.
Glad to see you back, keen to see the new vids!
Dude really uploaded a video months ago...

Oh hey, welcome back! Congrats on the new place.
Always glad to see fellow Kiwis on UA-cam. Welcome back.
Glad you’re back, melodies of flushing and all!
Hey Amon!
Great to see you're back and in good health.
I'm happy to see that all has worked out for you in the end and am excited to see what you have in store for us.
New workshop new ideas eh!
All the best mate.
Nice bunker, looks like it would be bombproof. Yes, I film in the basement and get toilet flushes all the time.
Greetings from San Francisco, welcome back. I'm looking forward to your future posts.
Great to see you back! I was worried that you were quitting youtube.... Looking forward to your videos.
Good to see you back. Look forward to more videos.
Welcome back! Great workshop
welcome back! been waiting for months for new videos, congrats on new place.
Good to see you back. Nice cave.
Great to see you back.
it's great to be back!
Great to see you back Amon! 👏
Awesome work, great to see you back🤙
glad to see you up and running again..can't wait to see that furnace in action..
Good that you are getting things straightened out. I really like the idea of the vertical mill/router. My workshop is full and it is always challenging to add any more. I have a cnc router build waiting in the wings. Maybe I can make use of your method.
I'm finally getting back to my postponed interest in casting metal. Electric furnace for now. I will be looking forward to seeing your foundry work.
Its great to have you back :)
i would love to see the induction heater doing some melting, slowly getting the materials to make one for myself.
Sounds like a rippling brook! I could listen to it all night.🥳🥩🥗🥔🍞🍻👍
Hi, great to hear about you after so many months :) Im glad you are OK.
I wanna wish good luck all guys in giveaway and congrats to future winners :)
Im not going take part in giveaway, im from europe and shipping would be very high and as you paid soldering irons from your own pocket, lets save your pocket from unnecessary expenses on shippping.
Great to see yuh back fella!
Great workshop, love it's downstairs. Don't see many with a downstairs garage/workshop.
Welcome back, from Christchurch.
Nice to see another Kiwi on UA-cam from the viewer in Paeroa the other channel I watch is MARTY T around Nelson somewhere.
Hood on you mate, I've been wondering what had happened to you! Greetings from across the Tasman Sea!
Toilet flush sound from upstairs while recording! 😂🤣
like your videos, maybe because you don't spam them every hour and you have quite a peaceful approach of making content. Nice job ;)
Good to see you back. Hope you re-upload some of the videos that "disappeared" (yt shenanigans)
You could replace the ABS/PVC Water Closet piping with some good old cast iron pipe where it runs through your shop. Maybe then insulated it as well. It will help tremendously. :)
Good job!
Where did you get the trolley from which retailer did you get it from and good luck with the future?
Welcome back...!
4:55 - Make parallel connection from "on air" to sign at toilet "do not flush" ;) problem solved.
I made a mag vice like your one. I used your video as a guide then added a few extras of my own.
What sand do you use for your casting? I do a bit myself and use water bond “green sand”
Thanks Chris
I did the same with a little change not for the better though but short cut, and I use it several times a week for holding thin material for grinding prior to welding, love it. If i were to inclose it in epoxy it would take more abuse.
i have a question about the giveaway. if i have 3 siblings can they too join the give away or that would disqualify us?
I'm sure that cheese grater is also part of some project too lol
Great to see you back Amon!
Good video
How to convert AC induction cooker to DC Induction Cooker?
Vs t80p? Ultimately the only reason I'd get this is for the usb c pd which I think it should have had from the beginning. The fact that the ts80 line have barely any of the tips that the ts100 line do is really depressing and I want to upgrade purely for these two reasons.
I would like to get the names of some equipment, such as LED lamps.
Dude im dirt poor can i pleaseeeee have the soldering IRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Schematix, I have been following you. You do a great work. I work for NextPCB. We would like to sponsor your projects. You can send a DM for more details.
