I don't agree with your last statement - Liptovsky Mikulas was a very nice place to stay at. We booked a quite cheap but very new hotel in the city center, and had amazing night walks and amazing food at the Restaurant A La Pizza Taverna. Great video btw, but Liptovsky Mikulas is truly worth checking out :)
Yes, it’s just my personal opinion :) Just felt like Mikulas is miles away from that sharm you can find in Alpine villages. It just depends on what your expectations are… :)
Great video, your English is better than our Slovak! 🤪Do you have any advice about Jasna in April? We are looking to book for a budget skiing holiday with our two kids, beginner to intermediate levels. Would you say the conditions are still ok at that time of year?
Nobody knows what the conditions will be like this season. Jasna is a low-altitude resort, so it's even harder to predict. Yes, Chopok Peak can still be full of snow, but lower parts can be muddy with some or many closed slopes and grass everywhere around... :) Most likely there will be grass around the slopes anyways in April. So it's risky if we are talking about the quality of skiing :) For the budget - YES! :D
what is the average price of hotels per week? What villages can someone recommend nearby or it's better to settle near lifts? Are there any ski buses? I checked prices and it looks pretty expensive
Because of this video I just booked my 2024 ski vacations here in a hotel right in the resort - Hotel Björnson ...I normally go to Austria, but they are super expensive for some reason next year .. Hopefully I do not regret and get a lots of snow.
@@daktarisvkindeed it was.... Returned today... What a rip-off. Bad sow(all over Europe I get it) but still.. here was bad. The ski area was overcrowded, they charge for the normal ski pass and to have a "fast pass" so you can skip the line... So they make the normal experience horrible for everyone and capitalize on this "special" mode. I paid the ski pass online and it was still more expensive than some very good areas in Austria if paid online too... The snow was really bad... Did I say that the snow was bad? @@jojocluddy2534end of March is tricky as most ski Resorts close in the beginning of April, this year has been particulary tricky for good snow although there was new snow coming last week... End of March I would shoot for one of the Glaciers, they are open until May. Stubai Glacier, Pitztaler Glacier or Sölden will definitely have good conditions and they are big enough, being Sölden the biggest ski area although only the glacier part might be open.. I Personally like Pitztaler it is smaller than the others but normally is less crowded.
Nice video! From what I saw, it was a bit crowded at the cable installations. When exactly did you film this? I want to plan a vacation there and the information would be very useful! Thank you very much!
I shot video in mid february. But Jasna is quite crowded all main season long. A lot of tourists from Poland, Baltic states, because it’s the nearest ski resort by car to them (excluding the mini ski areas). If you can get early and by first on slopes, then you can catch some freedom. Some lifts are not crowded. Red slopes are less crowded, All parking lots fill up very quickly in the morning.. :/

Tricky question :) I’m more skying person.. There is no ski village with night life in Jasna. I think if partying is main goal, then first Bansko, then Borovets are better options :)
