I have been very worried about trying to do a wash n go bc I have all 4 of the C's type of hair. I have been watching and listening to you for awhile and I washed my hair Friday and decided I was going to give it a try...listen...I so appreciate your content. I was feeling for the smoothness and emulsifying the product before application. I even knew what to do when my hair was dry. Thank you!!! It went quickly, I had definition. It actually quite easy!!! 💛
Aww, I am so glad my tips worked for you. The more you do it, the easier and quicker it gets, and you end up finding a technique that fits you and your hair better. Thanks for sharing and for supporting my channel.💛
Great wash and go results! Your hair looked nice and healthy! I thought the definition was great too! I hate it didn't feel the greatest, but you know what to do next time. Thanks for sharing this combo!
I realized I couldn't use during heat or humidity. What helped when I did use them is to run products under water when applying. Rub together and then add to hair. Game changing.
I had that same feel with big poppa. It kinda felt wet but dry at the same time 😅 but your hair still looks really pretty! Idk if you’ve ever tried Mille maximum hold gel styler but it gives a lot of definition and hold without crunch! & It pairs well with a lot of different mousses!
Beautiful as always. With glycerin being so high on the list, it would never work for me. I live in humid Alabama. As soon as I step outside my hair would say, “oh hi humid moisture! Let’s have a puffy root party!”😂
Thank you. Love your results! Yes I agree I also get the same feeling when using the gel. I tend to overuse it because I don't experience enough definition with the mousse alone. My hair always seems to last at least three to four days though. Thank you for your content.
I actually liked the gel alone because I didn't get any stickiness. I think I used too much when I used with the foam, will have to revisit it. Thanks for tuning in.💛
Hi @NaturalRaeRae .... I really like the look...it looks defined, bouncy and movable. It still looked good on day 3 too. I am definitely going to try this combo. I have a lot of the Big Papa gel too 😁
Hello 👋🏾 N.R.R. Ur Wash n Go looks 👀absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the Doux Mousse Def n Big Papa Gel. Popping Curl definition. Thanks for Sharing. 👩🏽🦱👨🏾🦲👶🏽🫶🏾🫶🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
Hi Rae the wng looked great on day one and leave that tail alone 😅and I don’t like sticky hair either and I have yet to use any of the Doux products and need to watch glycerin and humectant ingredients in my products to see how my hair likes 👍🏾 or dislikes 👎🏾them.
I will eventually try this combo to see out of curiosity how it’ll work on my hair. I tried the Mousse Def alone last week. I like it, didn’t last seven days but, that was ok too. I like it enough I would repurchase. I’m using the Treluxe Mousse and their primer this week for a wash n go. I’ll let you know my thoughts on the Treluxe products.
Hi. Rae. I liked your results your hair came out very pretty. I just used this combo on Saturday for my short TWA my hair is soft but still defined. thanks for the vid.
You made it work great! I really liked Big Poppa the first time I used it, but the glycerin is just not my friend. I just have never been able to find the right balance with products that have it. I always would get sticky results... from Kinky Curly to UFD to everything in between. Lol. So I just stopped using styling products with it.
Thank you! You have to use very little product when glycerin is first or second ingredient. And, it's best to use on wet hair, not damp in my opinion. Try it again using let product and more water and see if it makes a difference. I don't use Kinky Curly Products so I can't speak on their ingredients, but I didn't get stickiness from UFD either because I used on wet hair and usually under a harder holding gel, but it's not a fave of mine so I gave it to my son. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your experience.💛
@buzzinbee9463 you're right. I should've written that better. It behaved the same way UFD did for me and other products I've tried (honestly, there have been soooooo many)....maybe just the amount of humectants in it I dunno 🤷🏾♀️. In any case... I ain't like it 😆.✌🏾❤️
@NaturalRaeRae when I first big chopped last year I tried them for a several months b/c that's what the internet girls were saying to use for WnG (👀😆) *and* I figured it was user error on my part. I tried in the shower on soaking wet hair, i tried damp hair... I just couldn't master them. I then gravitated towards foam and never looked back. 😆 Now, I do mostly twistouts since my hair has grown so much. Maybe one day I'll try again, but honestly, I don't miss them. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
Hi Rae, your w&g always looks good , I'm having a problem with mine the last 2:56 couple weeks, seems like I have protein overload and my curls are not curling and hair quite dry , only thing I can think would have caused it is maybe Shea moisture d/c the one that has rice protein..I didn't realize that until I went back and read the ingredients.. any suggestions please help
If you have protein overload, you need to concentrate on moisturizing your hair. Use products that don't contain protein and that are geared toward moisture. But a lot of things can contribute to dry hair like, product buildup, not wetting the hair frequently enough, etc. I can't tell you what to do because I don't know your hair. If staying away from protein for a while doesn't work, I'd say seek professional help.
Thank you! I'm using this dryer: amzn.to/4dwsVFx but any will work. I actually got mine from Sally Beauty, but I don't think they carry it anymore. I will say that mine is now broken so I plan on getting this one: amzn.to/46W0a2D It had some pretty good reviews.
Hi, RaeRae. I love your videos and learn a lot from watching them. I was wondering if you ever use oil on your finished hair. I am natural and have a lot of gray. I can't go three days with no oil, because my hair will definitely look and feel really dry. My strands are fine.
Hi Cynthia! I don't usually use oil on my finished hair. The only time I will attempt to use oil on finished hair is if it has flakes and I'm trying to get rid of them or if it looks like a gray shadow is on the hair. Sometimes the oil works and sometimes it doesn't. Most times, I just redo my hair. I feel oil sits on my hair and makes it feel greasy so I tend not to use oils.
I sleep in a hair tube, but you can always just tie your hair down with a scarf. I have videos on my channel about how I preserve my hair at night and I list in the description box the links to the hair tubes.

Yes, I definitely will be less heavy-handed with the gel. All in all, it turned out to be a good combo. Thanks for tuning in.

@@NaturalRaeRae Hi , Rae! I remember you talking about one ingredient that seems to cast your hair gray. Do you remember what it was?

Hey Trish! Just make sure you're light on the gel so it isn't too sticky. Other than that, I think it's a good combo. Thanks for tuning in.💛

I used that combo. My hair looked nice for the first two day then it looked so dry. I get better results with the mousse over a curling cream.
Thanks for sharing!! Which curling cream do you use?
@@NaturalRaeRae Love Curl Enhancer Smoothy from Shea Moisture and adore Styling Cream from Texture ID.
Hey Rae .. I really luv how this WNG turned out 🥰💙.. I haven’t used these two together yet.. thank you Rae for this video 💙

Thanks! I'm glad it worked for you. Soft and defined is my go to; I can do without the crunch. Thanks for tuning in and sharing with me.💛
Thanks For the video. This explains for me why my hair is sticky my when I use The Big poppa gel. I’m using too much and it’s heavy in glycerin ☺️☺️
Exactly! Use less even if you feel you don't have the definition. If you want more definition, use more water instead of gel. Thanks for tuning in.
Your hair looks so pretty!
Oh thank you!
I will definitely try stretching my wash next time because….. the shrinkage is real 😢
You can use bands to stretch if you don't want to use heat.

KKCC and KKKT do not contain glycerin or glycerin derivative.
