Okay, I’m STILL laughin’ over the whole earthquake/lipstick scene…that was BRILLIANT! 😎
Initially I was a bit confused, did it just go into an advert. Made me smile, re watched it. 😂
Same here. I was watching this at work and everyone looked at me when I busted out laughing.
One thing though, the noise and vibration that it would have made would be really intense. No joke about that.
You got a good gal there to play along with the lip stick scene. I’m still chuckling over that. 😂😎
yessssssssss
No resin? YES!!!!!! :D Superior imagination shows itself yet again.
Really enjoyed the off-balance result at the beginning! Thanks for the giggle!
The simple lines accentuate all the irregularities. Just beautiful.
You are a refreshing change from other woodworking videos that have far too much love for epoxy. Your approach is definitely the creative one, and your results are amazing.
Walnut as firewood! Wild. Turned out real nice.
EARTHQUAKE!!!!! Thank you for including the "difficulties" too. For those of us just learning, it's nice to know we aren't the only ones that struggle.
Комментарий в поддержку канала и ролика, а также труда мастера.
Beautiful piece, but really loved the earthquake lipstick part. I'm still LMAO.
Thanks for a great laugh. 😂🤣😀
Well, I'll be! Aside from the beautiful vessel you created, the "whole lotta shakin' goin' on" sequence truly brings out the concept of balance ...👏🏼👏🏼
Very nice work!
What I like best is that you didn't use epoxy. That's always the killer for me with videos like this.
Amazing that the tree grew little circles inside.
Remarquable. Comment faire du beau au cœur du banal. De la belle ouvrage. Continuez!
All your work is amazing but the ones like this without symmetry are my favorites. The hidden designs and "imperfections" give the piece such a great personality.
And that lipstick cutscene was hella funny!
There just aren’t enough turning videos with “lipstick interludes”… Loved that.
I also love those round “butterfly” plugs. Great result!
Very Art Deco era. My favorite contemporary (I'm old) design period.
That is beautiful! So much more satisfying than just resorting to resin.
The beginning of this video was one of the funniest ever - Brilliant!! Not funny for you at the time, but a genius bit of editing for us to laugh at.
And once again, you produced a really lovely piece of work, Bravo and best wishes, Olivier
Ha ha ha! That bit with your wife/girlfriend was brilliant! Great workmanship, too, of course. However, there are dozens of channels with great workmanship, but only one Olivier Gomis.
Certainly agree !!!
Brilliant, and unique! The plugs not only strengthened the piece, they also gave it that special character! As always, extremely well done.
Lots of great woodturning vids, but no one has the creativity or skill level as you. This project turned out fabulous!
You are definitely the Master of the Turniverse!
That's a unique way of dealing with cracks!
Lovely shape. Love how you used the plugs along the cracks. Also like that you didn’t quite line up the grain. It’s off just enough to give the idea of randomness, yet not so off as to cause issues for most folks. Well done!
Anything can be beautiful with enough time and effort.
You are truly a gifted craftsman! That piece turned out stunning.
As usual, fantastic carving and a very amusing video!!! Bravo, sir!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love what you did to fix the cracks, very creative and ingenious! I also cracked up with your "earthquake" and lipstick. LOL Very pretty!!
I love your humor and I love your art. That was drop-dead gorgeous.💖👍
Oh my gosh didn't know you created that earthquake 😳 😂😂😂 ,here you go again created beauty out of crap 👏, lovely how you Integrate the little circles with wood not others materials, good quality work, see you next video, amazed us again
Have not seen a piece like this in woodturning videos!! Beautiful grain, good job. Wonderful piece.
Wow, a lot of work but it looks cool. At first I thought that you were making a bongo drum. The plugs are a cool idea.
Oliver, you woodturning wonder stud, you've done it again! From rags to riches, you turned a piece of junk into a beautiful, museum-quality piece of art. That's what one gets when his intellect, ingenuity and outright talent go bizzerk! Great job!
What a creative and beautiful solution! I love that the result looks a bit like trails of bubbles.
I like the character in this piece. Clever solution without epoxy. Lovely!
Turned out fantastic! Nice job. Thanks for sharing
Bien vu le rebouchage.
Vraiment bien vu.
That turned out beautiful Olivier. The shavings coming out while hollowing looks like a mini snowstorm. The beginning was laugh out loud funny.
Absolutely beautiful, Olivier! Nice craftsmanship!
That looks fantastic! I love how you used the plugs to,deal with cracks and other issues. It have it a unique artsy effect which is just perfect for the shape you gave it.
Looks great, I like how you "stiched" the cracks.
Vase turned out great
The shape is prefect! Had a great laugh as well.
Thank you once again, Olivier!
You've done it again...made art out of a plain ol' piece of wood.
Original, one-of-a-kind, pieces of art, like whatever this thing turned out to be, are the product of an artistic and original mind, blessed with a sense of humor.
If it hasn't happened yet someone will ask, "What does it mean".
Thanks.
ah ça fait du bien de voir autre chose que de l'epoxy, et j'aime beaucoup le résultat !
Gorgeous vase.
Beautiful work sir always beautiful. Have a great weekend ✌️
Stunning, as always!
Very cool project. Great way to get rid of the cracks, and still make it look beautiful. I really like the idea of saving firewood, and making something beautiful from it. Thank you!
I'm going to use plugs on my next project with big cracks! 👍
Looks great! Thanks! 🙏
That crap piece of firewood looks great. I'd have that in my home anytime.
Gorgeous piece of workmanship
Lovely just lovely, glad I wasn’t burned!
Well done! I Like it! Great ideas for turning the faults into features!
New to the channel, LMAO the earthquake scene was funny 🤣🤣🤣. Subbed! Also, really nice work dude!👏👏
Beyond Bespoke, honesty revealed, is what it is ….. impressed how this prevailed in the end….👍
Brilliant! Absolutely gorgeous and brilliant!
The plugs are brilliant! Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.
Bonsoir Olivier Gomis, encore un beau vase sorti tout droit de votre imagination et d'un morceau de bois. Superbe.
Oliver, you're awesome & brilliant. Love the use of wood circles!
I have always loved patchwork!
encore une très belle réalisation, bravo.
i like your humor, and TURNING
Masterful as ever. I am full of admiration for your design and execution skills. And the avoidance of resin is excellent! Thank you.
Love the way it looks with the round plugs.
‘Turned’ out lovely. I would have panicked 🌞
Brilliant! Very clever work with the wooden plugs. Kudos.
What a great idea using plugs. Very unique looking. Thanks for sharing.
The earthquake scene was pretty cool. It is amazing how you can take a bad looking piece of wood and turn it into something beautiful and useful.
I love the circle ties. Walnut is such pretty wood, and you made it even more interesting. Really lovely work out of “crap firewood!”
Is there a video where Mr. Gomis shows more details about his lathe-mounted drill press?
I've never seen a GIANT plug cutter like that before!
Now I have!
They would make a very useful addition to my toolkit, and solve a lot of potential problems.
Thanks.
Bowl's not bad either, a triumph over adversity!
😁👍
What a beautiful piece of art, the textures are next level!! Great craftsmanship 👍👏🙏
Absolutely amazing and stunningly beautiful
The cutting corners part was très amusante.
Killer work. A lot braver than I. Cool jig for stabilizing the piece. Keep those fingers and toes, safety first. Thanks for sharing your skills, love the wood fix instead of epoxy.
Again another work of art. You never disappoint. Great work ❤️👍😍👏
Great job 👏🏻
Looks astrological. Nicely done.
Bravo Olivier.
Very cool, I have lots of trees and a portable lumber mill, But this is a great idea. Thanks I see my future.
That is a beautiful vase. Great job.
Absolutely love this piece!
Stunningly gorgeous
Beautiful piece of wood! Great piece!
Get a chopping block. Drill a 40mm hole in the side. Now you can use a nice big clamp to clamp any firewood to the chopping block which makes it so much easier and safer to chainsaw it.
Спасибо за видео, долго ждали. Очень красивая ваза👍👍👍😊
Beautiful, though I’m wondering if the “wings” you cut off could be used for something?
An interesting approach to filling cracks. Great job!.
Just Absolutely nuts!
Aston @IWMS
👏👏👏
Superb , fantastic work 👍🏼
It's the artist making the difference between scrapwood and art. How long did it take you in real time to complete this vase?
Lovely. Especially since it was firewood! :)
impressionnant
Hell yes for using wood!
Stunning piece 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Всё гениальное 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 просто!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤣🤣🤣🤣 i fell on the joke of the resin. Thank you for not doing it!!! Amazing work!!!!
Cool piece Mister Olivier.
