Yay! So glad for this review. My guess G1 = Guy 1, W1 = Womens 1. The new nmd W1 is fugly though. Way too high of a stack and the colorways are just horrible. Btw, NMD are the most comfortable adidas shoe for me and all I buy are adidas. Soft and squishy leads to heel fatigue for some, so i like the firmness of the NMD vs an ultraboost, 350 V2, etc. I can wear these for 16 hours straight at a theme park with no issues.
I think that they hit the nail on the head with the original R1s. If they didn't release 500 different colorways, I think people would still be hyping them up (same with the original ultraboost silhouette). I just don't see these G1s or the V2s progressing the NMD branding at all. I'd still wear my R1s any day over any other NMD
Think they look decent love the colourway and just the attention to detail put into them
I like the toned down color scheme. And I have the rising stars and those were comfy right out of the box.

I agree that they’re not the most comfy tho, on top of being a lil heavier than I’d like.
How are they on the breathability side?
@@gromba can’t say I’ve given it a lot of thought until now - these are now my daily walking shoes, so I’d say material’s quite breathable but the most extensive thing I’ve done with them is light jogging while it’s still warm out

I like the model put the ankle liner plus the absence of a pull tab will kill my fingers. Shoe horn seems to be a must on these. Also, is it just me or the outsole seems to be thicker? My biggest problem with this model was that my upper was always fine while the outsole was getting worn extremely quick.
