- In this video I show you how to add multiple filters to a collection page on WiX. This is great for property listings, recruitment companies, recipe websites, etc.
To make this tutorial quick and easy, I have focused only on adding filters to your collection so users can find what they are looking for quickly.
Make sure you have done the following first:
1. Set up your collection in the content manager
2. Added a page to display this collection
3. Connected your dataset (collection) to the page
4. Added a repeater and connected it to the dataset (optional)
Thank you for uploading such amazing video... Really saved my time. As there are couple of other people wasted more than 8 hours.... Super Easy. Thank you
Excellent Video, thank you so much. Key was the referenced fields and the note on the Dynamic Pages
Thank you so much this was exactly what I needed and I was able to see that in the first minute!
This was incredibly helpful!
Oh that's great!
Thank you, much appreciated!
Cool,..the last thing left for my client was this,, and accidentally I deleted the job data set icon from editor page😮,.
Thanks for video.
Great explanation....very helpful!
I'm posting this here in the hopes someone sees it - For some reason when adding the filter in the dataset settings, it won't let me choose "User input element" (both that and "Another dataset" options are greyed out). It will only let me choose manual entry. I've followed every step, I have one drop down ready to go. Going mad trying to solve this.
PS: Fantastic tutorial video.
Did you get a solution for This? I have the same issue.
@@jeremyhanson_realestate hi, to be honest I can’t remember exactly what it was for as the past couple of months have been quite a journey on my major project. I found that dev mode and the expertise of ChatGPT helped me code so much of what I needed to do.
@@jeremyhanson_realestate I also have this issue!
@@jeremyhanson_realestate I solved it, look at my other answer here.
Figured it out, basically you do not have to do it in the dataset settings. You go to your drop down menu, and the squiggly line or "Connect to CMS" button allows you to connect it to a filter on the right hand tool bar.
GREAT! Thank you. I wonder how the URL would look like when for different filtering combinations? Would stay the same as the main page url, our would generate as many urls that are filter combinations?
Thanks for the tutorial. Works great. I would add an option to reset the selection. I mean, return the page to its basic state, without clicking refresh page. Do you have an idea how to do this?
Hi! It worked for me in dynamic pages. Doing the doble and simple dropdown list.
Excellent!
Thank youuuuuuu!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Very helpful, but is there Conditional Filtering for Dropdowns on Wix without going through the coding process?
Fantastic tutorial!
Very helpful, but can you add a searchbar to this?
Can we do the same for different food menu items and let them add into the cart as well?
Hello, fantastic video, thank you. I have a problem I am hoping you can help with please. At exactly 7:41 in your video, your filter has the "use input element" section which I do not see in my filter. I just have the first 2, but not the 3rd option. Please help.
