- With the release of TPOT 5 and the soon to publicly release TPOT 6, many fans of the series have been criticizing the writing of the first season veteran Tennis Ball, stating that he's "useless" and "just Golf Ball's simp." However, is that true, or is there a different problem?

Yeah, people are kind of forgetting what “simp” means, simp is a person who desperately tries to get someone to love them to the point where it becomes annoying, Tennis Ball is just an ally of Golf Ball. What he did in TPOT 5 is in my opinion not considered a “simp” move, most of the time it’s a good idea to protect your friend if you agree with them.

This makes sense in BFDIA 6. Tennis Ball clearly tells Golf Ball to shut up when she gets in the bottom two.

Some minor spoilers for TPOT 8:
In TPOT 8 TB says "Golf ball taught it's always handy to treat your friend like a tool!" which is actually so sad. Also, TB gets more screen time in TPOT 8 shown with other characters on the team which is great.

He seemed a lot more independent from bfdi- early pre split bfb. I don’t know why but I feel like now when it comes to him in tpot he’s always doing stuff to defend / help gb. Like where did his old character go where he was able to do stuff without gb with him 24/7 and why was the change so sudden. Maybe they just ran out of things to do with his character but bfdia says otherwise. Also Gb is already well liked even without him. He’s most likely going to be the next boot from AYO because though we got some interaction with pen, eraser, and him it wasn’t that interesting and didn’t really go anywhere.

Edit: Tbh I'm now really okay with Fries getting out over TB. I would prefer if TV got out in TPOT 6 and Fries got out in TPOT 9, but whatever. Tennis Ball now has some cool moments and his personality isn't hidden anymore. For Golf Ball, she remains one of my favorite characters and I hope she get really far in BFDIA and TPOT
