You are good at making these videos. This answered like a million questions I had as a new owner. It's like you came over and personally showed me how to set it all up and use it.
i should have watched this video 'before' trying out my new resin printer >.> lets just say my bedroom and living room which are connected smell absolutely horrid ... learned a lesson, also! there are housings with hoses you can buy to put it inside of if you dont have a ventilated area, can literally put the hose out the window or something, i found them online after i made the first oopsie lol
I was watching this just to see what to expect from this print if I would order it before I went to sleep. I assumed that will skip through like 60% of the video to save time and to just see the most juicy parts but honestly I have watched the whole thing. It was so straight to the paint and informative that skipping even a single second is a waste. Subscribed and extremely impressed, seriously extremely impressed with the quality of the video!
A seasoned 3D printer explained that there is no need to cure the vat after each print. Resin can stay in the vat for weeks and months. It's not milk. It won't go bad. Great video!
Do not throw away your wash alcohol! The resin solidifies when exposed to UV. so when you need to change it out, dump it into a glass jar and let it sit in the sun all day. then, grab a funnel and some filter paper and you can filter off all the solids. then reuse your alcohol as a primary wash with new alcohol being used for a second quick final wash. edit: also, you apear to be a bit too concerned about concentrated alcohol, I guess because its a powerful solvent and were alwase taught to treat it with care, which you do.. For your wash, or any clean-up of resin, 100% ISO is best. you can also leave the storage basket in the bath. they would not build the basket out of a material thats dissolved by alcohol, that would be silly.
I just ordered this wash and cure station, do you think I could use acetone instead of alcohol? I like washing my prints in acetone because it cleans them to perfection by just swirling them around for 10-15 seconds
@@LeoNelBuilds depends if the acitone will eat the wash station... IPA is all you need to wash with a sitr bar like the was stations have and although they take sevral leters to fill, its reusable so you don't realy have much loss of your solvent.

Once I recognized your voice, I was like - no WONDER this is the best explained, detailed video on this product. I had a few questions left after watching the other youtubers, and after viewing yours, they are of course, answered. You are the best!
You dont have to empty the resin out everytime your done using it. As long as its not in a spot where sunlight will hit it, it should be fine to just be left in the tub. Saves time and potential mess of dumping it everytime you're done
Excellent Video! I have decided to purchase this setup based on your video and demonstration. I would suggest that everyone make sure that the build plate is completely free of alcohol before you reinstall it into the machine. you don't want alcohol finding it's way into your expensive resin. :) once again, I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this presentation!
Hey man. You overcured your model. For something like that you only need about 30 seconds to a minute. Your goal is to get rid of the stickiness on the outside. If you overcure a model it begins to brown. This is why you got a discoloration and the loss of sheen on your test print. Not a bad video though. Just a tip.
@@TheLordNoodles the cure time for phrozen aqua gray 4k is about 15-25 minutes if you use 2.0 cure machine. You need a very high power uv light to cure resin in 30 seconds, and will be overheated at that power

THANK YOU! I just received this set in the mail and your walk-thru should be everything I need to get started with confidence!! Plan is to use this for architectural models.
I have just purchased the Anycubic Zero, Cure station & 1L resin for £160, Just arrived today :) super excited to try it out. Large sale on Anycubic at moment & some epic deals to be had :)
Watched this video twice, once before it arrived and once after. Really useful. Not sure if it's the type of resin or what, but I bought 2 airpure filters to go in the printer but even without them i can't detect any smell at all from the resin.
I just tried the method at the 35 minute mark to remove the excess resin from the vat. I did the same thing (poured as much as I could back into the bottle. Same green resin too) then cured the remaining film for 30 seconds. It did not come off easy (or at all). I ended up having to soak the tray with alcohol for a long time and occasionally rub and massage the resin until after nearly an hour it finally came out with the plastic spatula. Even then, there was minor scratching left to the screen by the plastic spatula. I would not attempt this again.
I did this as well and the FEP film is fucked. I have to order replacements. Do not expose leftover resin to the UV if you can help it, use a microfibre cloth or papertowel and rinse the rest off with metho or IPA.
Final thought is that you could’ve used the plastic scraper across the VAT lightly (if you wanted to save that resin you exposed in the end) aside from that I have no idea why you tip it sideways when the UV is being exposed, but you did set it up and get nice prints, great job 👏

Is there a reason you wouldn't want to remove the model from the build plate and put in the bottom of the basket to reduce the amount of alcohol you need?
You could do that if you just wanted the model to sit and soak in the alcohol, but the reason why it's raised up off of the bottom is because there is a magnetic stirrer that needs to be spinning around in the bottom of the cleaning container, which agitates the alcohol or whatever other cleaning solution you're using and cleans it better and faster than if you just let it sit
