As much as I hate to admit it because as a true blue, or should I say orange and blue, Broncos fan it is basically a requirement to dislike the Patriots, Brady did do a fantastic job and really made this game a nail biter. In fact, I should probably be grateful to the Pats because whenever we face them they make us rise to the occasion and really grind, which is likely a contributing factor that helped us win the Super Bowl.

And, over the course of his career, he has carried so many teams on his back. He has *earned* the opportunity to have a defense carry him to the Big Game. He's the one who put Indy on the map, and he revived the Broncos from a period of mediocrity. That said, I'm a Tom Brady fan, but I give respect where it is due (i.e., especially since Manning is on his way out, while Brady has at least a few more years of quality play).

I'm no Broncos fan but I agree with you. You probably would have done better injury free and probably would have won. It's just that 90% of the time when the pats win, I see fans trash talking other teams then when they lose, it's always excuses. I'm not saying you do this but it is just something I've seen from a lot of pats fans for the past 5 years that I've been following football.

That broncos defense was very underrated. They were all over Brady I’ve never seen him take that much punishment in one game.

After all that, it comes down to a 2pts conversion difference. Gronk was clutching with 2 4th down conversions. Pats O-line was terrible but Brady and the Defense still manage to keep them in the game until the last seconds and had a chance to force OT. That should mean something.
no what turned the game is when both broncos safeties got hurt on those last 3 drives before that Brady had only 207 yards passing I'm hoping broncos win super bowl an he goes out a winner with a hell of a resume

As a patriots fan this game right here was the Superbowl because you had two of the best teams that year in the AFC championship game that close . Brady took a beating and still manage to keep it a game march down the field 4th and 10 than 4th and goal. We all knew what happen to the next game

As a pats fan let me explain..Peyton Manning has played a large roll in making the NFL what it is today, his dad his brother all class acts, Coach was simply respecting one of the greatest to play this game, and listen not every great player for every position plays for your team but as a sports fan you respect the greats no matter who they play for . Say what you want about the Patriots.. but with Brady getting hit 23 times and still coming up 2 points short of forcing overtime and possibly taking NE to the Super Bowl.. Anybody else would have crumbled. Panthers are lucky we're not in there.

I think the Panthers would have rather played the P*ts in SB50...The Bronco defense was playing at one of the highest levels ever seen in the playoffs and just held the high scoring Steelers and P*ts well below their scoring average. Having said that this was one of the best games between our two teams and I gained a lot of respect for Tom Brady watching him get driven into the turf 23 times and getting right back up and continuing the fight. That type of grit and mental fortitude is exactly what Scam Newton will never possess. He quit when he tasted adversity for the first time that season and showed he is a front runner who dances and taunts when he scores 40 points and pouts when his team doesn't blow out the opponent.
yeah I was rooting for Denver once my Pats lost this hard-fought battle. Newton is big baby, pisses me off.
It's just frustrating watching this because there were one or two times where the Pats could have kicked a field goal instead of going for it on fourth down. One field goal would have given them the win. Nonetheless, it was nice to see Peyton retire with a ring. A great finish.

For the 15 and 16 year olds like my brother right now. It's truly a shame you never got to see Peyton in his prime. The stuff he did was incredible. He'd figure out a player's defense before halftime. One of the most mobile and obviously accurate passers in NFL history. I do believe if he wins one more SB he really can be cemented as a top 5 QB of all time.

And watching the two greatest QB’s of this generation battle it out until the very last seconds. Plus getting to see Gronk, Sanders, Edelman, Miller and Ware. What a privilege to see it in person.

Peyton most of his 13 years with the Colts he had NO DEFENSE so he would have to put up 45 points a game just to win they had pieces on defense but overall they couldn't stop a nose bleed. it's a reason why the Colts had the #1 pick to draft Peyton... cuz they were the worst team in football!so while Peyton was going 4-12 his first season and getting sack 5 times a game Brady was crusing his ass on the bench of a good team to the super bowl. anybody that was Bledsoe backup that year and the other 2 times was winning the super bowl. it just happen to be brady

Don't forget that Denver is actually a mile high - if you've never been there it's like halving the mileage on your car. You're sucking wind to lug suitcases you're certain you packed lightly. Just like Seattle's stadium is louder than a rock concert; and Green Bay is in Antarctica, USA; Denver is like Mt. Everest base camp. That may have been enough to take the Patriots down a gear.

Despite the fact that the Pats O-line played horrible all game, they still coulda won/given them a better chance to win with better play calling and decision making. 4th and 1 and you try play action? I don't have the stats in my hand but im pretty sure the run game was essentially not even a threat. who did they think they were fooling? spread the field out, run short routes and give brady a shot to make a throw. a catch past the line of scrimmage was all they needed. also there were 2 situations where they could have come off the field with points and put the broncos in the same position after the kickoff. had they taken the 6 points and defense continued to make stops, its an 18-20 game with the game in the hands of the GOAT, not having to try and force a TD. With the Broncos D playing lights out all game the Pats needed points wherever they could get them but risky and poor decisions from the coaching staff cost them.Also, Cowboys fan here. just stating my opinion.

why is everyone ignoring the fact that patriots almost gutted this thing out. They have been decimated by injuries all year and still technically lost by one point. Manning did not look impressive at all. If broncos offence plays like this in Super Bowl they'll get smushed. Only hope they have is to keep it close otherwise panthers will blow it wide open.
