Bless your heart, honey! So happy you’ve rededicated your life back to the Lord. I think millions of us have been there. I’m a hillbilly also originally from southwestern WV, Logan County. My mama’s family is from Louisa, KY, area. ❤️
Rebecca, I've just prayed for you and your family asking for many Blessings, healing, and protection. The Lord always hears your prayers regardless if it's praying for yourself or others. Never cease praying, this is your communication with the Lord and He loves to hear from you. When I pray for myself, I ask Holy Spirit for wisdom, strength, and direction. I don't know if I feel peace, but I definitely feel confident knowing that I've asked the Lord for these and put it in His hands. I also spend a lot of time praying in gratefulness and thankfulness to our Lord Jesus. Just waking up in the morning is a Blessing, and I want to thank Him. Each day there are so many things to be grateful for seen and unseen. Remember, when you call to the Lord, He hears you and you are not talking just to yourself. Don't put God in a box. He is bigger than you. His thing is forgiveness, love, grace, and mercy for all the days of your life. Keep praying, He loves to hear from you, and He loves that you have the compassion to pray for others. Many Blessings to you!
Rebecca, I'm praying for you too! I saw the sadness in Becky's face, it's like the light has gone from her eyes. I feel so bad for her, I know what she is going though. I'm almost 6 months ahead of her, it is so hard.....
So glad to see you back. Praying for you Becky! I lost my husband 13 months ago and it’s really difficult. I like the way you added a few words about cooking for one. Some days it’s so hard to get excited about cooking for yourself.
I cook & give to others at times. I put leftover in Freezer for second meal. I am mostly a baker. People don' t do much baking anymore .Just buy it. It is fun to see grateful people when I Bless them & it keeps me busy. 😊
Love your channel Becky. My momma used to make these after we had a pot of pintos the night before. She called them "bean patties". She passed away eight years ago, and I haven't had them since. This video really brought tears to my eyes. I will now make these in her honor. Thank you for sharing the Word in all of your videos. You are precious 💖

A simple, adaptable recipe that will fill tummies and be delicious! The hardest thing for me after my husband passed was learning to shop and cook for 1. Now, I only make big pots of things if it’s something I don’t mind eating several days in a row or it will freeze well. God bless you Becky….stay well and take care! 🙏💕🙏
You and your family remain in my prayers. You have a special gift of cooking and teaching others, thank you dear Lord for giving us Becky. You have taught this southern man a thing or two in the cooking department and my family said I did good. Thanks and God bless you. Keep on doing what you do.
God bless you, Becky! This is why I continue to watch your channel. Your witness and heartfelt messages regarding our Savior is so welcome and comforting.
Becky we may not agree on everything, little sister, but you warm my heart whenever I tune in. The Bible passage you recited in this video is one of my favorites. He gives us every opportunity to return to Him.
My mother made these a lot when I was a kid. I didn't realize it was because we were so poor. I just thought it was because they were so wonderful. They were one of my favorite things. I still make them today.
Pinto beans are truly the ultimate pantry staple. Can't wait to try these! This is the Hillbilly Kitchen version of the English fritters using leftovers called "Bubble & Squeak." God bless you Becky 🙏 ❤
Miss Becky, Thank you for the continuous encouragement and wisdom you share while teaching the Appalachian recipes. One can’t help but feel like they have visited a good friend or close neighbor when we visit your channel. Prayers are spoken over you and your family. God bless you my sister in Christ.🙏🏻❤️🕊🐾🦌🌲🍴
I love country cooking. I come from good country stock. I am a TN girl. Love your channel. Love pinto beans! These fritters have got to be tasty. Thanks Becky. Praise the Lord Jesus, I am a child of the King.
Thank you! My dear grandmother was born in Tennessee in 1895 and immigrated to Canada in 1910. I appreciate you and your delicious recipes, reminds me of Gram! God Bless.
Those fritters look yummy. They would be extra nice if you had some leftover gravy, too. I hope you and your family are doing better, Becky. It's great to see you. Blessings.
One of my favorite meals from childhood that I will still fix today is warm pintos on a piece of buttered bread. This looks like a delicious way to have some warm pintos too. Yum 😋
You don't know how much I need you!!! Thank you so much, I'm learning so much from you!!! Love our Lord and Savior!!! We all need you, especially in these tough times and the ones that might be coming!!!!
Me & Becky being from the same neck of the woods, she is talking my language. This sounds delicious Becky & I got left over pintos just waiting! Happy to see you doing good baby since your loss. God Bless to you and family! Much Love 😀
Becky, I can't thank you enough! You are such a beautiful soul. I have a silly list going, of all the people I hope to be seated next to at the wedding feast at the end of days. You my dear sister are definitely on my list. When we are judged, not for the second death, but for our place in heaven I hope our Lord and Saviour shows you all the hearts you touched in such a beautiful way. Right before he turns to you and says "well done my good and faithful servant" I love you with the love of Christ. Be blessed as you have truly been a blessing!
Thank you so much for this recipe. I'll be making these the next time I make bean's. Great idea using the toaster to warm them up. God is good. Watching from Kentucky.🙏✝️🕊️
Hash is another way to use leftovers .. Used to love to it when my grandma in law would fry up her leftovers and serve it with coffee and bread and butter.
I bet these are really good. I'm going to have to try these. We always have a little bit left over veggies that usually wind up getting thrown out. I like when you read a little scripture while we wait for the pan to heat ❤️
Thank you so much for giving all the extra details in cooking your dishes. Some things I have never thought about until you have explained them. Even though I have been cooking for many years, I am still learning. Thank you, also, for your positive Christian witness. Praying for you. God bless.
I guess you could use the canned Chic peas or Gabanzo beans to make fritters also.I have never made fritters from beans, I love my beans boiled with some smoked meat. But I like combining chic peas into tuna salad to add fiber and more protein, and the flavor is neutral, so I will try adding them to salmon croquettes also, and potato salad and deviled eggs.
My mama doesn't cook much anymore cause of her heart condition and her macular degeneration (blindness) but you cook just like she did and my grandpa and my aunts and uncles. @@ee031692 Rhonda, My precious, late mother sometimes used that word and I never thought to ask where she learned it. A few months ago, I was watching another UA-cam channel, Celebrating Appalachia, and Tipper said "larrapin" was used in Appalachia. Well, I was thrilled! My parents were born in Alabama, as was I, but our roots are in eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina. Hearing that word was a gift from God and my sweet mother.⚘
I think I’m going to try making some of these up ahead of time. Then I can eat them for lunch at work. Thank you for another great recipe! It is so good to have you back 💖

These look delicious! My Mom used to make all kinds of fritters (or patties) from leftovers to feed our large, hungry family. Canned tuna, left over mashed potatoes-whatever she had. I LOVE how you provide food for the body AND the soul. Thank you for being so bold and loving in your faith.
These also reminded me of the salmon (usually mackerel because it was cheaper) patties Mom would make. I always thought they were a treat so I made them too when I became an adult.
Loved learning the toss anything in fritter! Thanks Becky! This recipe is very close to being a bean burger. Black bean, pinto or kidney bean can in a pinch be formed in a patty and BURGERIZED. : ) The red kidney will appear more meat like and depending on the flavorings you can trick the taste buds with liquid smoke or char grill them too! I was using grapeseed for the longest time, and learned Avocado Oil is healthier than grape seed. Encourage all to do a side by side comparison. ~ And grateful for the thoughtful reminder, To put God first. Xo
Becky you mentioned refried beans are an option- just want to add homemade refried beans are much more delicious over canned! Love this recipe. I imagine you could bake these for a bean burger.
I’m so glad to see you. You sound good. I’m going to try this one. I love beans but my husband doesn’t. But he likes anything fried! Lol. Thank you Becky for teaching us the Bible. We’re praying for you every day. 🙏🙏
I'm very frugal, but my husband takes it to another level. He frequently encourages me to make a pot of beans, because it's about the cheapest meal ever...but then he doesn't like leftovers, so it's always a struggle to get them eaten before they have to be thrown out. But...like your husband, he loves anything fried! This is definitely going to make me more willing to fire up the crockpot more often.
Becky, Thank you so much for this recipe. I have never made fritters with beans & gators, going to make these today! I am so blessed to call you my friend. Bret would be so proud of you! My love and many prayers for you and your family. Love from Oklahoma
I am so glad you are continuing your videos. I have learned so much and really enjoy your christian testimonies. May God continue to bless and strengthen you!
For me this isn't struggle food it's gonna be a treat. For me once anything more than the beans and a few spices are added then it's a treat. I appreciate the video so much for another idea to have another recipe to add to my collection.
I have never had pinto bean patties but we use to always have pea patties lol ( we got a kick out of calling them that when we were kids ) but it was black eyed pea patties, my nana would always make them on Monday with left overs from Sunday dinner! Loved them so much with lots of butter!!

Love you sweet lady!!!! Great eatin right there!!!!
My lord confort you heart. And Keep save and healthy. Love from tx.
Yes
Our Savior gives us people to help inspire us, you are one of thoughs people , thank you so much for your inspiring messages.
Becky we may not agree on everything, little sister, but you warm my heart whenever I tune in. The Bible passage you recited in this video is one of my favorites. He gives us every opportunity to return to Him.
LOVE your videos and that you are not timid on talking about Jesus! Thank you!
Great Job miss Becky. Have left over corn and Pinto's in the fridge. Guess whats for dinner? Lol thank you so very much
Ah ha! Finally know what Buble and squeak is !!! Please send recipe if you can , thanks
And ultimate party staple.... Bring on the bean dip!
May God bless you, Becky.
God Bless you Becky, you are in our prayers.
Miss Becky,
Thank you for the continuous encouragement and wisdom you share while teaching the Appalachian recipes.
One can’t help but feel like they have visited a good friend or close neighbor when we visit your channel.
Prayers are spoken over you and your family. God bless you my sister in Christ.🙏🏻❤️🕊🐾🦌🌲🍴
Good afternoon, now I have a recipe from you for the weekend. Yum. Continuing prayers for you and your family. A fan from Mississippi. 💗💗
I love country cooking. I come from good country stock. I am a TN girl. Love your channel. Love pinto beans! These fritters have got to be tasty. Thanks Becky. Praise the Lord Jesus, I am a child of the King.
My grandma and mama used to make these. So yummy!
You are the strongest, sweetest woman I have ever known, on your channel. And the BEST cook in the world. We put God first!
So glad to see you back and strong as everGod Bless You🙏🙏🙏🙏
Blessings.
Leftover gravy on top sounds like a GREAT idea!
praise Jesus, your video s are anointed, ,and recipes are soooo helpful to all of us as we prep and live frugally in such times as these
One of my favorite meals from childhood that I will still fix today is warm pintos on a piece of buttered bread.
Much Love 😀
These sound great. Gonna try them soon. Thanks for sharing
I'm almost 60 and have never had a fritter but will have to make some soon. Thanks for glorifying our Lord and Saviour
So happy to see you back in the kitchen. Love and hugs ❤❤❤
I love these "hard times" recipes! You are such a joy to watch!
I LOVE practicing memory verses when ALSO practicing patience... waiting in traffic OR waiting for my skillet to warm up 😉
Thank you so much for giving all the extra details in cooking your dishes. Some things I have never thought about until you have explained them. Even though I have been cooking for many years, I am still learning. Thank you, also, for your positive Christian witness. Praying for you. God bless.
I think we're never too old to learn❤ God Bless.
Everytime I am missing them and the way they sounded I tune in and watch you. I am so sorry about your husband, much love and thank you.💕
So glad to see you back Becky!! I love watching you and listening to you!! Praying for you nonstop!! You are a dear sister to me!! Love you bunches!! 🙏🏻♥️🤟🏻😘🤗
A chef buys ingredients to make a recipe. A cook goes to the kitchen and feeds the family with what they have.
Bless you , from another cook
Becky, these look great! I'm just sitting here thinking about making a batch and topping them with the sour cream, cheese, chopped onions and chopped tomatoes! They would be great with a pot of turnip greens!😋 Larrapin good food! Thank you so much for sharing another delicious recipe and the Message of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Much love and many blessings to you, my sister in Christ.
Oh my goodness, I haven't heard the word larrapin since my Grandfather used it. He has been gone now about 25 years.
We just planted more turnips - I feel we’re going to need them.
@@shelahogletree7711 Wouldn't those turnip greens be wonderful with those fritters, Shelah?! Don't forget the cornbread!❤😋
What u suppose Larrapin means..?
I think I’m going to try making some of these up ahead of time. Then I can eat them for lunch at work. Thank you for another great recipe! It is so good to have you back 💖
Happy to see you sticking to making videos just might be the one thing besides the good Lord to save you in this hard time. Stay strong Becky. God bless you and your family 🙏❤️
P.s would love to see a Sunday word with Becky show. I think you be great doing something like that. God bless 🙏❤️
Bless your heart Becky! Watching you from Missouri for awhile. You are a good Christian woman!
Never heard of bean fritters. Sounds good. I will definitely try these. God bless you Becky.
Bean fritters are also called Bean Burgers God Bless
These look delicious! My Mom used to make all kinds of fritters (or patties) from leftovers to feed our large, hungry family. Canned tuna, left over mashed potatoes-whatever she had. I LOVE how you provide food for the body AND the soul. Thank you for being so bold and loving in your faith.
These also reminded me of the salmon (usually mackerel because it was cheaper) patties Mom would make. I always thought they were a treat so I made them too when I became an adult.
I am so grateful for your ministry. Thank you. Sending you so much love!
Xo
love this video. I bet Bret is in heaven smiling,
Becky, This is the BEST VIDEO ON PINTO BEAN PATTIES recipe. Thank you.
Thanks for the video, so good to see you. God is blessing you and all of us through you, sweet woman
Please let me (us) know if he likes them.
Just love to see the Lord is sustaining you, Becky. I am definitely going to try this recipe. God bless you.🙂🙌💫
Becky , good to see you. Have missed you and your cooking. Can’t wait to make these fritters. Love pinto beans. God bless.
Love watching your show love the way you include God we need more Christians like you
God bless you
For me this isn't struggle food it's gonna be a treat. For me once anything more than the beans and a few spices are added then it's a treat. I appreciate the video so much for another idea to have another recipe to add to my collection.
Becky how simple but genius!
I have never had pinto bean patties but we use to always have pea patties lol ( we got a kick out of calling them that when we were kids ) but it was black eyed pea patties, my nana would always make them on Monday with left overs from Sunday dinner! Loved them so much with lots of butter!!
Thanks for the awesome cooking videos! I'm on a budget & unfortunately was never taught how to cook from my parents, so I'm learning now at age 40 😊 have a wonderful weekend ❤️💜❤️
I live alone and cooking for one is impossible...and like you I want to cook a pot of beans. Greatful for the recipe. God bless 🙏
I love your ministry, your cooking tips, and your patriotic things in the background. Keep up the good work!
As a vegetarian, I love this! So glad to see you are continuing your show. I have your cookbook and love it! 💖
I am a fairly new follower....a native Texan who grew up eating red beans and potatoes every day....still love them and all old fashioned home cooking.... God bless you and as a recent widow, I understand the challenge of cooking for one, after cooking for family for years.
God bless you for sharing 2 Peter 3:9 and a beaytiful invitation for salvation. I pray it reaches the hearts of those who are searching for love, acceptance, peace and joy.
You are an amazing woman. Thank you for using your channel for God's Glory.
Blessings to you and your family. 🙏✝️
Becky, you are a blessing! Like you, I grew up eating these recipes at Grandma's table. Then, I was not concerned with learning to cook. Now, for a 50 year old single guy with genetic heart issues and limited income, healthy cooking has become a priority. I am glad I found your channel. I cook a lot of dried beans and whole grain breads. This is a great recipe to mix things up. Thank you.
This is going in my rotation! I always have pinto beans going in the winter, and this looks like a perfect comfort food for a cold day! Thank you for sharing this, Miss Becky!🤗
It's been a few video's since I've been able to tune in for your great recipes. I really enjoy your hillbilly, old time, antique recipes that have been handed down through the ages from family etc. I find some of the most basic recipes are the best. God bless and keeping God 🙏 close will get us through anything.
Thank you, Becky. Hard times recipes are important to know and try out before the real hard times hit. You and your family are still in my prayers.
