    Great but that's a maceration, not a cold pressed extraction.

    Have you ever used Argan oil? I wanted to make a hair emoilent with lavender and one with jasmine. Maybe alittle of both. Just wondered how it works with Argan.

    Wonderful video. It's inspired me to make essential oils and use this method, it's great. Thank you for taking the time to show us how to do it.

    I love this video. And actually have made some! As you said, it is tedious, but the result is amazing. I have a few questions.
    1. Can I use the same method to make rose essential oil?
    2. Can i use dried roses?
    Thanks in advance

      Absolutely. You can use dried roses, but the smell might not come out strong like when you use fresh roses. Thanks for watching.

    how long does the lavender buds take to infuse in the oil?

    • @GelaIssy
      @GelaIssy  3 роки тому +1

      It depends on the method that you’re using. If you are using the heat method which obviously is frying the lavender in hot carrier oil, it should take less than 30 minutes depending on the quantity. And if you’re using the boil method where you’ll have to put the lavender and the carrier oil in a plate and stick it in hot boiling water in a pot, that could take up to an hour or over. Then if you’re the cold press method, that takes much longer. Sometimes, 7 days to a month. I left mine for about a month for a super infusion, and it out real good. Thanks for watching. Can I use dry lavender flowers and Olive oil to make my own lavender oil?

    • @GelaIssy
      @GelaIssy  Рік тому +1

      That should be fine so long as you DO NOT introduce any form of heat to the olive oil. Olive oil works better when NOT heated up.
