I played barotrauma some time ago and messed arround with the sub creator tool. Thing is, would the game try to generate caves long enough for this... thing, to fit through or would it just generate somewhat large caves (not enough) and send you into this hell of a world where you will bug into a wall, become a giant lever using the wall as a fulcrum and manage to flip europa upside down? or would just nothing happen? idk
I first came up with the idea of the Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugong a good few years ago (Back when, quite frankly, my sense of humor was absolutely terrible) after being greatly amused by the concept of 2Foooooooooooooooort. I got into the sub editor without any idea what I was doing and just shoddily extended the Dugong (which I considered to be the 'Classic' sub) to about 3-5 times its length, did some shoddy wiring and just uploaded it to the Workshop without much thought. Eventually, I started getting complaints in comments that the sub was not generating enough oxygen/was unable to pump it evenly. I tried to fix it but since I had no idea what I was doing I simply fucked it up a bunch and gave up, the 'project' (shitpost) was left to languish, update after update. I am glad some people took up on my terrible f---ing idea, I love it.
I get the feeling that the sporadic lighting is because the reactor literally cannot power it if the lighting is consistent across the entire length of the sub
imagine backrooms mod for barothrauma, when you just scavenging in looped submarines, building base and fighting monsters inside, some Level will be inside big filled ballasts when you need to kill monsters to go further and this will be first lvl, starting in outpost looks as everything is normal but as long as you step in you 'new sub' enter to outpost bloking and ship start sinking down, and when you reach end and open door to medbay you will see looped camel, with loooooong ledder down and deeply you go the more glichy furniture plased and more monsters
I like how in the middle there's a nuclear reactor that i imagine only exists to increase the chances of the submarine blowing up
