This is possibly the greatest arm wrestling match of all time. The determination, the grit, the absolute unwillingness to quit no matter what from these guys. That was absolutely nuts haha. I loved every second of this, i was laughing at how ridiculous it was at some points. Congratulations to Vitaly and Dave, both of these men are true winners and there was no loser here. Legends. In my opinion Laletin was in better shape against Levan. So it can't be the greatest if the two athletes are not at their max.

I rarely comment on videos. But this match deserves it. Honestly it was one of the best matches if not the best match I’ve ever seen. I watched this with my dad and he didn’t know anything about arm wrestling, and he also got hooked to the sport. Congratulations to Dave Chaffee, it was a total WAR!

refereeing is not fulfilling its obligations. Dave in rounds 1 and 7 is in the triceps, in the joint, the shoulders are not parallel to the table. If everything was according to the rules, Vital, as in the other rounds, was pulled out with a pronator and a beam.

Its not endurance Its a heart, he wanted this win too bad. I think if he have the same heart in Genadi and Morozov match he will have much better chance to win.

It's the press that saved him. It buys him time to catch his breath and wear down his opponent's endurance simultaneously getting behind his shoulder like that. Question is why he never used it before!!
@@gilgamesh2832 exactly. Instead of toprolling and nothing more, Dave realized that incorporating other techniques will stop his arm from blowing out. He would always be up 2-0 then lose cause his arm was always shot by then.
If he did not use shoulder press instead of top roll , he definitely loss this match very easily . His cardio is not bad but his hand and biceps alway get tired after a long fight . Using the press can help him save alot of arm 's power and wear down his oppponent . I just don't know why Vitaly did not do the same thing . In the fight with Levan , he did try using it in the second round .

Problem with that is he has a leaner frame but yes if he could get bigger he would be unstoppable
He performed better when he was lighter, he gasses out much more quickly now.

39:35 - I don't agree at all. That wasn't a push. That was Dave having to pull back to keep himself from being pinned and failing, resulting in his elbow coming off the pad.

Я не спец по арму, но как по мне в последнем раунде у Чаффи стартовая позиция была более выгодная (более короткий рычаг чем у Лалетина был), поэтому он так легко и выиграл, практически сразу начал трицепсом давить.
Да и в целом, как-то неочевидно все было, то равная борьба, то вдруг один с легкостью стартует и перебарывает другого. Но как по мне Чаффи уже не первый раз показывает превосходство в первых раундах, а потом сильно сдает и проигрывает, как например было с Морозовым. Тут было тоже самое, но Лалетину то ли судьи помешали своим судейством, то ли ему сил не хватило, но при этом он в таких невыгодных и проигрышных положениях сопротивлялся и не проигрывал, что язык не поворачивается сказать, что ему сил не хватило.
Да, Чафи и правда был развернут, но думаю, если бы он стоял ровно, то Виталику это мало бы помогло.. Оба устали под конец, но Виталик не вывез бы пресс трицепсом в последних раундах, как бы там Чафи не стоял.. Сам матч очень сложный в анализе на самом деле. Можно бесконечно рассуждать "а если бы Витале не дали фол, то было бы 4:2 в его пользу", "а если бы Дейву не дали фол во втором раунде, то его победа была бы гораздо проще" и т.д. Кто кого засудил, сложно сказать. Но по первым раундам думаю и так понятно, что Витале до Левана далековато.. А Дейв, если вылечит шею, то имеет неплохие шансы на норм поединок с Леваном.

How do you beat the press? It looked to me that Dave had the advantage in shoulder position at the start of the last couple rounds so that he could get into the press.

Watched it live on CoreSports. Honestly, when you've been involved in strength sports yourself and know how many injuries these guys already must have come in with, this gets hard to watch - because you just know they are hurting so much 😃
Still, this matchup needed to happen - because now we know how / where to rank the Russians! And we know now Vitaly isn't where he was long assumed, the #2 spot - and Zaur didn't insta-pin Vitaly either, it was a small struggle, so we know he isn't miles better than Vitaly or Dave either.

Нет выносливость у него как всегда плохая но он компенсировал его борьбой в трицепс , почему он его просто не натренирует не знаю но зато в трицепс начал бороться

When Vitaly pulled out the kings move/open arm toproll last round, I was like well Dave probably have PTSD from against Devon/MT but he readjusted with that press.
Both these guys have learned a lot before and might have levelled up in technical sense too after this match lol.

Я не спец по арму, но как по мне в последних двух раундах у Чаффи стартовая позиция была более выгодная (более короткий рычаг чем у Лалетина был), поэтому он так легко и выиграл, сразу начинал трицепсом и спиной давить.
Лалетин вксил на 10 кг больше зато. У него Руки длиннее неудобный он зато
Здесь судейство в конце за нарушениеми Чаффи не смотрели. Выставляли руки, чтобы Чаффи сразу боролся и висел в трицепс на руке Виталия. Этот бой выиграл Лалетин, он боролся одной групой связок и мышц сразу со старта. А размеры стола что-то маленькие, минус рычаги для Виталия.
listen man... if anyone can tell Vitaliy he breathed himself out of oxygen.. when you breathe too much on your mouth body is actually taking in less oxygen then when you take deep controlled breathes through the nose. That is why this happened to him.. mad respect to both athletes.. not trying to sound like a smartass.. but really.. I think Vitaly did himself with incorrect breathing technique.. a regular man would pass out breathing like that even without armwrestling..
