I was working at the Bobbi Brown counter in NJ as a manager and we were all there early for a big event. One of the girls started a story ike this, "Ok, so you know how you have ADHD? Well....." and carried on with this story. 7 of us were standing there before the store opened and I said "wait, what?" She repeated it and said "anyway" and went back to her story. That was the first I had ever heard of me having ADHD but it all made sense. The girls couldn't believe I didn't know. Crazy! It was a relief to know it wasn't my fault. I was 37 when she said that. 🤦♀️

I tried building a channel back in 2017 but it didn't work. I had four teenagers but I was also trying to be like everyone else. It's not in me to be perfect and polished like that and it was so stressful to try.

I didn't notice any unorganized behavior. Your videos are honest, genuine, relatable and very helpful. Very entertaining! I've watched this twice so far. You are stunning! You look amazing. Oh and I don't feel so great without color to my skin. I stay out of the sun now so self tanning is still fairly new to me. I'm getting better every time. 😘 Thank you, Amy. What self tanner are you using? I have tips. I find my hands are the hardest to get even. Sometimes I'll apply a hyaluronic serum on first and buff the tanning mousse on my hands and around my fingers with a makeup kabuki brush. It works.

Ohhh thoes 2 type of earrings are so amazing on you, I didn't notis your ear hanging weird, I like them a lot, unless you are having your hair up nobody is going too see your ears so you can definitely juse them.

Yes! I've always had issues with cream bronzer and blush making my coverage products lift. Everyone uses so many cream products and I think they're pretty but I hate my redness and broken capillaries showing. I've been using more powder bronzer and blush lately because of that. Don't be sorry about anything! I love you and your videos 💛
Right?! I think people who have less discolouration have more success. Have you ever tried an IPL? I've had a few over the years. They work really well. My nose veins always come back because I have to blow it so often but it tames down the redness and can target hyper-pigmentation. They're not cheap though.

I started wearing orange lip stain & peachy makeup in 2006 when it was still a bit “weird,” I miss being unique but it’s worth it for all the great peach-coral-grapefruit shades we have now! It’s Julie! I love that you come on and show how you try new ideas with new and different products in trying to fix what you see as a problem. It does really help me out. Very pretty Julie. Fresh and happy. You always figure it out and you always look so pretty, even without any makeup. Are you bringing us along for your CO2 Tx.? Julie, I did a TCA 13 Peel 2 weeks ago and I did 2 layers and to me really didn’t peel that much, and here Iam my skin so very dry and peeling from using Tret. Grrrr. My makeup looked horrible this morning as I applied. I’m so ready to give up. I exfoliate 2-3/ week and use medical grade skincare, very hydrating essences and moisturizers, yet my foundation and concealer clung to every dry patch( which is my entire face). I’m so sick of it. I’m going to STOP using my Tret and just use my medic8 Retinaldhyde for a few weeks and see if the dryness goes away. Oh, and very little lightning of my dark hyperventilation. So I am 🙏 that in 2 more weeks when I do another peel, I will have better results. I MUA have 30 yrs of dry skin on my face. lol. 😢. Love ya ladybug. You’ve not mentioned how things are going with your moving?

I think you should stop everything right now. Don't use any actives at all until your skin heels. Missing a couple of weeks isn't going to set you back. Let the new skin come to the service and rebuild. What are you using for moisturizer?

Not tell you what to do but if I were you I would hydrate, recover and protect with Aquafor or vaseline over night. Day time, hydrate, recover and sunscreen during the day. If you aren't going out, leave out the sunscreen. They can be irritating.

@@JulieMeikle I bet you are nervous, but you will do great Julie. Yes, I agree with you, all I did for the first 4-5 days was hydrate with essences and rich moisturizer. Then I started back with all actives 😥. So, yesterday eve, I really checked my skin out in 15x mag mirror and knew to Stop all actives. My entire face is peeling horribly. So I did my double cleanse really massaging with cleansing balm( drunk elephant) then washed with gentle cleanser, then did 7 method essences followed with Honey Essence, Experiment Glycerin Serum, snail mucin then squalene oil and moisturizer. I was a grease balm. Lol. My face feels so much better this am, but still am going to continue doing this until all dry skin is gone. I will pull up the moisturizer you recommend and check it out. Thank you. The Co2 is a really aggressive Tx isn’t it?

A few things... heavy earrings... I am finding that the actual holes are getting stretched... I am going to see about a smidge of filler to make the holes smaller... I heard about that a few times over the years....also... amazon sells these round, clear, pliable discs that you put behind your earlobe between the earring and the backing... it's supposed to give you support with a heavier earring. I definitely worked... especially when you just really want to wear the earrings ; )
I have been using concealers that are many shades deeper or lighter to alter my foundations.... it seems to be working so far... also, i figured it would be less product since concealer is more concentrated... but then again, any consistency difference could possibly alter the foundation.
I really want to buy the Makeup by Mario liquid bronzer... but I am trying to use a little self control! I have a million bronzers!
ETA - I did purchase the Ilios mirror and stand... Tati had a big discount awhile back and super influenced me. I do like the mirrors... they are very high quality... and I love their travel mirror. MY only issue.. .which is with ALL mirrors that have a circle of light around them, is I find I can not see myself well with the ring of light... I need to cover about 1/3 of the light at the bottom... probably sounds strange.... I just see the light... not me... which defeats the purpose... but that is not an Ilios thing... that is with all of the circle mirrors with a ring of light!!! They are gorgeous mirrors -- maybe wait for the fall and all of the big sales that start!
Lastly, I have been using your code over and over at BK beauty as I over-purchase ALL of their brushes... many in multiples ;)

Interesting with the light. I can see that though. My mom is very light sensitive. When she comes over she can't sit on the couch that faces the window. I can picture the ring light creating a silhouette so you can't see yourself. Interesting.

I just love that foundation on you!! I’ve not gotten the HAUS LABS one yet (I’ve got literally so many foundations atm that I’m loving), but at some point I AM going to purchase it❤!! I think I’m going to get that white shade now though… like you, I’ve got quite a few foundations that come winter, they’ll be too dark😢 Like ive said, I’ve got so many great foundations, that I’d hate to not be able to use, I’m hoping that mixing the white to lighten them (even if it is a different formula). Have you mixed the HAUS LABS with any other foundation, or just the same brand??
Anyway, back to your video… btw, I LOVE a good peachy/pink look!! I do that monochromatic look myself on my daily looks❤ it makes us look so healthy and youthful❤❤
I absolutely LOVE the IT COSMETICS brushes… never seen the #3 cream blush brush and it applied that blush beautifully!! Gotta get it❤

Hi Julie! I may be one of the few people who don’t looove the Haus Labs foundation 😂 I find it super finicky. With/without primer, it doesn’t play well with a LOT of products and I just find it looks heavy no matter how little I use. Of course this could just be a “me” thing, that’s always a possibility. The look turned out beautiful as usual Yay!
You're not the only one. What's your skin type? Do you like foundation with a lighter texture? I made the mistake in the beginning of apply too much. A little goes a long way. It does have a richer formula. Is "richer" the right word?🤷♀️ I'm going to try the white with other formulas to see what it does. This is going to be fun.😍
@@JulieMeikle my skin is combination, oilier t-zone and pretty normal for the rest. I really prefer a light texture, MAC Studio Waterweight is fabulous med buildable coverage. And No. 7 Airbrush Away (Shoppers) is also beautiful weightless med coverage. Most foundation shades skew a bit too orange and/or yellow on moi, so I usually have to add a drop or two of blue mixing pigment, seriously helps 😂 I may just have too much texture for the Haus Labs, my skin looks terrible with it, but such is life 🙄😁

Thank you, Natalie! It's my natural hair colour which is a level 7 ginger/golden. People used to call me "Carrot Top" and "Red" growing up. I pull my highlights through a cap at home with bleach and 20 volume and I never use a toner because I like it to be gold.

I don't have patience for doing self-tanner, so I am working on embracing my paleness. 😊 If I had your skintone I would have no problem, but I have some dark spots from when I was young and broiling myself in the sun. 😢 Are you going to take us with you on your CO2 laser and recovery?
I'll be filming the C02 treatment and doing check-ins. EEEKK. I'm nervous. I'm sure it will be fine.🤞🏻 She said there are three types. Level 1, 2 and 3. I'm getting level 2. I'm not sure if I'm saying it right. I always interview her before I get a treatment. She's wonderful at explaining everything.🤗

I think some of the “cool” makeup trends look strange. At least for and on me. One I can’t get my mind around is putting strong blush up so high it just looks unnatural. I appreciate innovation and experimentation but truthfully, natural is always best for me.
