Here I am, hoping for my husband's conversion. Hearing about you kneeling down at the cross and hearing about your sisters conversion in that moment... It just makes me cry. What an incredible moment that must have been.

@@louel83 As St. Ambrose said to St. Monica regarding the brilliant saint we would come to know as St. Augustine "it is impossible that the son of so many tears should perish" so too does this apply to our own family members. We pray for their conversion and ask God for his mercy, lifting our tears and sorrow on their behalf.

Gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes.
My own conversion was a consequence of a trip to Medugorje, without actually seeking a conversion (or even God in particular) at all (I got a free trip while in the process of leaving the Church).
Been 100% Catholic ever since. Just got back this Tuesday evening from Mass and adoration during which I prayed the rosary. Trip to Medjugorje was April 1990. Mary and the Lord are so faithful. All we have to do is seek, ask and follow.

Hey that's nice. I never had to go through that since my parents accepted Jesus for me when I was baptized. Never had any feeling to reject Jesus throughout my life. I think my mom said when I was an infant, after baptism, I had a special blessing from the bishop after a high holy mass. Maybe that was "holy insurance")). All through my life I came across Catholics that were "born again" because they got "baptized" as an adult again. I would always ask them, "was the first time done incorrectly?" Truly I am amazed, and I'm not being sarcastic about this, that people feel the need to "redo" sacramentals. This assumes that something was done wrong the first time. Without being long-winded about this, the older I get, the greater my understanding of how amazing it is to be born into Catholicism. I have had my share of serious sufferings through life, beloved people abusing and betraying me, and yet my love for God, his Only Precious Son, and The Mother of God have kept me balanced, supported, and filled with love which cannot be defined by any man or woman. I am happy to see anyone accept Jesus, because I have always known him and accepted Him. By the way, once you accept Him, you also need to realize you have obligations now, because you're an "insider"! The work gets tougher but incredibly rewarding!
I was born into Christianity and never had a moment of disbelief. I used to wish I had that moment because no one really understands THIS… the ability to own your faith even though you legit inherited it from your parents.
I’ve just converted to Catholicism, but more of us cradle Christians should speak up for the legitimacy of inheritance.

That prayer that Emma said, "God, if you're real, please show me you exist in a way that I would understand." Isn't that the same prayer Matt said during his conversion? If so, did Matt say that prayer before out loud or something? Or they both happen to say that prayer when converting. Also, great prayer, I feel it's been a blessing in my life

@@hamie7624 I've heard this about the apparitions however, many people have had incredible conversions in Medjugorje and even a calling to religious life and the priesthood. That is a beautiful thing whether the apparitions are real or not. Coming to Christ no matter how it happens is never wrong!
@@northernsprout5443 I think it’s mostly to do with the fact that you tend to have more priests (and laity) there who believe in the power of the Sacraments, who are willing to give their time to hear however many Confessions etc. Plus the fact (as they alluded to) that people are away from their normal lives, from the negative and secular influences that weigh on them, and are therefore more open to God’s grace. To my mind, God is working there in spite of the “apparitions” to keep people on the right path.
