I’m praying the John you mentioned hears what you say. Thank you so much for the time you contribute Dr. Tour. I love that your videos on scientific content can be shared with genuine interest to non-believers but that within them you offer to one-on-one share the gospel. My dad has an interest in hydrogen and I recently shared a video of yours with him. His name is John so I am warmed to hear that a John has connected with you (whoever it is) and really wanted to thank you for your time.

My dear brother James have you put that sharp mind of yours on 1 Cor 15:52 vsvs Rev 10:7 mysteries. Your study/meditation method reminds me of AW Tozer who even read Shakespeare on his knees before God to teach him. We need to get unscrewed from the illogic of the Pretrib rapture of 1 Thess 4 & 1 Cor 15:51. So many Great preachers invent extra trumpets to break the 7th from the last trumpet. It's illogical. Biblical gymnastics. It seems obvious. They run to 1 Thess 4 apparently afraid of 1 Cor 1551 & Rev 10:7 mystery.

At 56.01 Cronin makes his point that he came to give a talk that is explainable to the audience, and wants to make sure that we understand what the problem is, but then doesn't discuss the papers that he's previously written; he's doesn't defend his previous claims, nor the claims to which he was invited to discuss and debate at Harvard. Extremely sophomoric.
His audience deserves answers. Not a textbook lecture on the cosmos, or the the previous scientists that have come before him. Nonetheless, he begins with the sun, and how he wants to walk away from this historical argument, and wants to make progress, wants to make a difference.
    What difference has he made?
Oh by the way 1:44:10 Cronin "I don't know who your audience is?" Harvard is dying, Cambridge, Oxford, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, and Berkley are all imploding onto themselves. Dr. Cronin's rebuttal in an officious state and a preponderance that he is both professionally and personally annoyed with Dr. Tour. The dinner table conversation demonstrates the primary reason Dr. Cronin showed up. He is angry and is not prepared to defend his claims, his work or the papers he has published. No credibility what so ever! Along with the ignorant questions and responses from the individuals sitting at the table demonstrates who the audience is!
Dr. Tour is a force to be reckoned with, and I applaud him (standing Ovation) and his professional demeaner in citing and holding to his argument for accepting the invitation to Harvard. They owe him an apology!
    Old saying
If a guilty person is given sufficient freedom to act, he will reveal his guilt. Background: John Ray included this expression in his 1670 book of proverbs.

If God exists, why did he create COVID? Also, where in the Bible does it say salvation is only achieved by faith alone and not good deeds?

@@ianlee5812 - God created matter. God created all things “good”. A shovel can be used to dig ground and plant food . It can also be used to bludgeon someone. If someone pokes you in the eyes would you blame God or them?

@@ianlee5812 I did answer your question. God didn’t create covid, humans did. God created the things they manipulated into covid. And why would they do that? Same reason any human does any evil, we’re sinful by nature.
You asked your original question because you hoped to be convinced to believe in God, and you can. It’s as simple as a small leap of faith. I called myself an atheist for several years but really was just angry at God because I believed He was punishing me and someone I loved. I just didn’t know Him at all. I’m happy to lay out my testimony if you’ll hear me out.

remember when Jesus was tempted by satan by offering Him worldly power and Christ turned satan down Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Christ rejected this offer Then Jesus said to him, [b]“Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” My question for you is why do Christians want this worldly power? And think by supporting Trump they are doing God's will. Trump is the antithesis of Jesus.

You are conflating a political candidate with the belief in Jesus. Politics or a politician can't save us. We do however, have the opportunity to vote for the direction of our country. I offer that we should also pray for our nation and its leaders, as we do the peace of Jerusalem. Shalom brother.

@@macdaddyp8437 Well said. Donald Trump is not an ideal leader. However, the alternative seems exceedingly evil. I thank our Lord that Hillary Clinton lost, and Roe v Wade was overturned. Shalom.
