Thanks for listening, you guys are the best
No you
I don’t know how many I listen this piece of art, my fav wave at the moment and it’s been months.
Superbly ethereal track YOUTH 83! Thank you
@@DefinitionofChill superbly ethereal honestly I would have described it as endemicallyy esoteric with a serendipitous edge of deconstructed existentialism
Thanks for creating these masterpieces. Keep it up you are really nailing it.
Synthwave was the projection of future music in the 80s
Still thinking about why we don't have a radio with this kind of music
Actually there is a Radio Station that serves in the Vein of Aural Exposition. Music from the Hearts of Space and theres a few DJ’s, myself being one of them, that play unique catalogues of work similar to this. ‘The Lithium Picnic’ is a two hour show by a friend of mine Elijah.
We both operate here in Eugene, Oregon.
KWVA, KRVM, KLCC.
@@BushyHairedStranger yeah but it should be a thing everywhere around the clock
@@retrokid6932 I would assume you can listen to those stations mentioned online.
too much positive vibrations to the masses makes the people in power nervous. lol
@@retrokid6932absolutely agree.
What I don't understand about synthwave is how it's kind of BASED on the 80s but that's about it... it has the aesthetic, but it's nothing like actual 80s music. But then we have media that actually USES it in the context of events that take place in the 80s, such as the show Stranger Things. It's kind of like we've jumped in a DeLorean and created an alternate 1985!
Its more inspired by 80's movie soundtracks rather than like synthpop or other music that heavily utilizes synth. I love this about the genre. I was born in the early 80's and every time I listen to this kind of music I'm transported back to that time and it brings to mind the amazing atmosphere from the films of that era.
@@theonewhoistornapart2506 Could you give me your best example of a movie and at what part of the movie? I'll watch it and listen.
I watch a ton of 80s movies and this music doesn't sound like anything except for new things trying to be 80sish, like the game Slipstream. Maybe it's just the type of 80s movies I watch. I like the coming-of-age and family ones more than the action movies. I'm far more used to the more melodic organized synth music, somber ballads with lots of harmonica, or of course '80s rock.
I was also born in the '80s, though later.
@@moccalou Well synthwave is still modernized and I wasn't saying that 80s movies were identical to synthwave but that its inspired by it. There are many kinds of synthwave. If we take Dance With the Dead or GosT they seem to be inspired by horror movie soundtracks from the 80s like Nightmare on Elmstreet and other synth heavy horror soundtracks. Perturbator has inspiration from scifi films like the first terminator film with darker tones. The Movie Risky Business has a really great soundtrack too by Tangerine Dream which you may here some influence from as well. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my first response.
@@theonewhoistornapart2506 No worries. I think you might have missed that I was saying that it was similar and based off an 80s aesthetic... a feeling. But I guess I was too strong with saying that it's nothing like stuff from the '80s.
I've never actually seen Nightmare on Elm Street. So I think I'll watch that and see if I can feel it. I've seen Risky Business and The Terminator but I might revisit those too. Thanks! :)
I feel synthwave isn't based on the 80's, but based on the concept of what the future was going to be according to movies and pop culture of the 80's. As a kid I was expecting neon lights everywhere, steam coming out the streets and aliens buying tickets to the next fly to Mars, that's the magic this kind of music does to me, the illusion of an alternate future where things are interesting and exciting.
80's sci fi tech dreams *Nostalgia* lives *forever*
This is probably my FAVORITE song because it has that futuristic and synth wave feeling and sounds incredible and beautiful at the same time
It's strange, but this song reminds me of USSR
@@nilwendil really

Fucking fire man...
I used to listen to stuff back then but wasn’t enough to keep me on ma feet so stop
Where can I purchase this song? It's amazing! Thanks.
did you find out yet?... with all of these youtube bands and such, basically go to Bandcamp.com and/or Soundcloud and search for em... ALOT of time, the tracks are free... LIKE THIS ONE... there's a link in the description
This wouldn’t happen to be pressed onto vinyl would it?
Also looking for the digital version of a track I have on vinyl from an indie artist-Paradyne - track “thought proliferation”. I just rather find it digital vs going out and investing in software to convert my vinyl...but maybe that would be best as I have more vinyl than digital format- it just would take forever to sit there and keep converting.

is the beginning sampled from twilight princess?
