Nice job. You will find that you need to have about 2 1/4" of solid on each end so that the notes will have some sustain to them. Also, prior to glueing the top on, it is helpful to dato the end Of the tongue about 1/8" deep at the 2-1/4" mark from the end. This will give the note a richer tone and is a good starting point to start tuning from. Rather than drilling at the hinge side, use a chisel to lower the note. Remember you are trying to get the tongue to vibrate at a certain frequency. Think of it as a hinge. It needs to be even across the width of the tongue. Keep at it you are doing great.
Try Google search engine and ask for tongue drum patterns. You may have to scroll down a bit, but there are quite a few there to give a try. If you look on UA-cam, there are a couple of people that also do tongue drums that have their patterns in the comments. Good luck.
