Song: Commute by Artist DeKobe
Song: Rain On The Parade
I'd be too childish with something like this, I'd always go in wearing a hazmat suit whilst waving the light meter around so I could pretend i'm in a quarantined lab conducting some secret alien plant experiments 😂
We are exactly alike! Spaceship is exactly how I describe it. I have even thought about a sleepover inside the ship 😂
Wow, that tent is GIANT! I'd love to have one that big some day. Nice work :)
So this is what heaven looks like
This variegated monstera forest is out of this world
Yes it does 🙌🏼
I LOVE thinking of it as a forest. It makes me want to keep them all for myself though 😂 I cannot wait to share them again in a few months with all their new growth!! 👏🏼
Wow everything looks so good, you definitely know what your doing. Be proud of yourself.
Woah thank you so much! I do feel proud. It is nice to hear that 😭❤️
Wow! That's dedication in serious dollar terms.
You must get the police turning up at your place lol. 😆
Wow!! Everything is just so beautiful😍😍 your basement is heaven
Thank you! I feel so lucky 🥰 Without my basement I would NOT have the space for this tent 😂😂😂
Your tent is my whole apartment 😅
hahaha! If I did not have the basement I certainly would NOT be able to fit it anywhere 😂👏🏼
😭😭😭😭
That tent is huge! This was so cool and inspiring 😍💚
Wish I could show you in person! It really is crazy awesome to walk into something like this. 😱
Oh Im so excited about buying one of your plants. They are so amazing
Thank you! 😱 You are too kind Denise! ❤️
Thank you😉 for your videos💚🌿😃
Thank you for the sweet comment 🥰❤️
Wow! Amazing beautiful plants! I really enjoy your videos as they are very informative and I learn a lot. Thank you for all you do! 😍
Thank you so much! That is so kind of you to say. I appreciate all that YOU do in making me feel good and inspiring me to create more ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
Wow!!! Such an awesome set up!! And all those monstera 💚🤩👌🏼
I am so obsessed with it! ❤️😍
Great set up. I’m upgrading from a 5x5 tent to a 10x5 this week. I really like using a hydrogogger in my tent to bring the humidity up.
Wow. That is the biggest grow tent I have seen. The plants look amazing. I have never seen so many beautiful albos.
Lol the only place it would fit was the basement! It still doesn't feel big enough 😂
@@ThePlantsMeow I can see why lol I bet you take really great care of your plants and the numbers show lol
Found your channel today, and you are such a lovely person! The tent setup and plants look wonderful. I look forward to watching your other videos - Happy New Year 🎉
Welcome! Thank you so much! Happy New Year! 🎊
Omg albo! Still on my wishlist 🥺
Finaly someone in the plant community that going seriously pro with humidity! TheHouseOfHydro.com is the answer to many peoples struggle. The fog is dry witch means it will not soak the floor. Good choice Elisabeth! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I hope you post more on that topic. You will start a trend! Some tips:
- put the humidifier on the outside. Lead the fog through the ventilation.
- “hardwire” the watercontainer to a Osmosis filter with a level guard (bad English)
Great content and channel!
Kind regards and Happy new better year!
Ricard, Sweden
Ricard, Thank you for the affirmation! I did a lot of research and The House of Hydro just did not compare to other ultrasonic mist makers. I am really excited to try them out! It definitely feels like a game changer. I was planning to set up the humidifier exactly that way. The only thing is that I do not have way to run a water line to it for refill in the basement. I will have to manually refill it for now. In the future when I do get a line I will 100% take your tip about the osmosis filter and guard! Thank you! ❤️🥰
@@ThePlantsMeow Did you see the video on the guitarr builder? He hard wire his water tank: ua-cam.com/video/9NGxe0Yph4U/v-deo.html Good luck and please make it a video on your channel when ready. I think many would be well served. A question I would love to here about is how "dry" the dry mist realy is. Because the small particle size on the droplets it is define as "dry mist" by some kind of industry standard, but what does it mean? Will the floor not get wet? It would be great to see paper towel or something in front of the "foggy outlet" and see if it stays dry or what the "dry mist" is about ... Good luck! :D /Ricard, Sweden
@@Hulteke great idea! I am setting it up today and will try that test out 👌🏼
Thanks for the suggestion!
That's one HUGE grow tent. Beautiful plants as well.
It truly is! 😂 Thank you! 🥰
Foot candle isn’t the proper metric for led lights. Obtaining a PAR meter or using the par map published by mars hydro is your best bet.
Wonderful set up ,I found a good layer of moistened leca in the trays works wonders keeps my humidity nice and high, the extractor fan is probably drawing out the moisture from inside the tent. Good luck with your new venture you are great.
Thank you! ❤️The extractor fan is definitely contributing (I do not have it on the highest setting thankfully). I appreciate the tip about the leca! If I need more humidity after implementing my new humidifier I will do that. Do you find any bacteria occurs similar to pebble trays? Or not because it is not sitting in a pool of water?
@@ThePlantsMeow I have not had any problems with bacteria as i let the leca go almost dry then re wet it so it never sits in a pool of water, hope that helps you a bit. Good luck with your new venture and happy
growing.
Your plants are beautiful especially the variegated monsterra, my dream plant!
Thank you! They are one of me favorites too. Wait until I upload my before and after plant growth video. I will be showing a beautiful big one! ❤️
This is amazingg!! So excited for you and what's ahead!!
Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
Very organized, functional and beautiful as always!
Yessss thank you! I have been doing some mass repotting in the plant room - if you like organized you will love this! ❤️
Add a few tub with 💦 it will help with humidity until you get your up grade.
Kris always tells me to do this! haha. I am so clumsy that I imagine I will just knock it over 😂
Been waiting for this! Thank you! 💚
Yay!! I hope you enjoyed it! ❤️
Is that a power strip by your humidifier? You really need to run all your cords outside of the grow tent. You don’t want any outlets inside unless it is in grow lights that are meant for wet environment. I almost burned my house down having an open outlet inside my grow tent. I burnt a hoya and a cord but luckily the surge protector zapped off.
Oh wow that’s scary! 😱 I’m liking and commenting on this too bring attention so that she and everyone else sees it!! The Plant Channel just lost his greenhouse to a fire, thank goodness it was outside. I wonder if the cause was something similar.
The power strip is outside now. I pulled it out after I plugged everything in. If you watch the second half of the video you will notice it is not there. The first half of the video was recorded the first day. 😊
@@ThePlantsMeow That’s good. All of those beautiful monsteras and your house are safe. :)
Looking forward to learning more from you! 💚🌱
I hope to be a great teacher 🥰
Very useful vdo thank you!! And Happy New Year ❤️🌿
Im so glad! Happy New Year!! 🎊
Nice work. But: keep humidity under 80% relative Humidity. Otherwhise you will get mold.
What a big tent, I love it!! So happy for you an your new adventures, it’s gonna be great!! Wish I was your age an could have a plant shop! 💚😃 Your plants are looking gorgeous 😍
PS. You came back with a vengeance 🥰 lol if your gonna do it, do it right 🤗
Sherry you are the best! I am so happy to hear that. I definitely want to do everything right this year. Especially on here. I just got a new mic for audio and it sounds great! (finally). I also ordered a new camera, which is arriving Friday and have started learning a new editing program. I hope for awesome things this year and QUALITY content!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️👌🏼
@@ThePlantsMeow it’s gonna be awesome but love all your content! 💚
This is very helpful, I a.m thinking of buying one for myself:)
that's a great setup!
That's juat awesome! Can't wait for this vpd video 🔥
Me too! 👻❤️
thank you. this is great.
This set up is a dream
You should watch some of here but not’s videos on UA-cam and he has some really good articles, he makes really good points about humidity and soils and all that good stuff
I love Here But Not! 😍 We take a very similar approach to growing plants and humidity. ❤️
by the Cat 'I do not see any catnip yet" ;)
You have the magic 🪄 keep focused 👁
Our cats are identical 😂
I’m having the same humidity issue with having to have a heater in my plant area! Can not wait for the AVP video! I need help! 😂😂🪴
It is such a struggle 😪😂
@@ThePlantsMeow I currently have had to mist my plants at least once or twice a day with a lawn and garden sprayer lol
Oh yes, 100%. i need a tent like that lol
Wow, so far the neatest and most useful vlog for indoor plant kit. May I know have you calculated how much electricity does this whole set spend each month? Thank you!
so kool...wanna do this but with hot peppers.
hi this is so amazing, that tent is so cool! I noticed a lot of your plants are in a pumice like stuff, I guess that's Lechuza? But they are irregular pots, do you just water that like regular soil? If so how often?
It's the first time I watch one of your video (just discovered your channel)
I'm sorry but I have to tell you, you really sound like a french Canadian talking english, it's crazy!
Welcome!! Woah that’s crazy! I didn’t think my voice was anything different like that 😂👏🏼
Love this!! 😍
Yay! ❤️🥰
Love this video!
Awesome! Glad to hear that 😍👌🏼
Beautiful setup! Curious to know if you considered misting the grow tent walls and plants themselves with water from a pump sprayer to increase humidity. When I water a 10 x 20 heated outdoor greenhouse, I spray the walls and plants and the humidity jumps at least 10% in minutes and can last many hours. Not sure if you’re concerned about mold or mildew, or maybe this canvas grow tent is not waterproof. Would love to know your thoughts on this.
I actually do mist the plants with a sprayer twice a day. I’m afraid it doesn’t last long because the exhaust fan can be very drying. 😪
One of the few grow tent shows that don't include weed.
That's awesome 😎. Just sayin
Holy MONSTERA!
Indeed! 😍
I have the same 8x8 but it’s inside my house near kitchen 😂 not imma need a second grow tent that will go to my garage
Now*^
Use ppdf to mesure the light
Cute cat i bet the kitty is wondering what's going on?
💚💚
Great video 😁😍... All I keep thinking is OMG 🤑🤑🤑🤑$$$$$$$$ all the way around in your grow tent. Your plants look very healthy and happy ;) Good Job 👍👍👍... Just found your channel and will be binging your Video's. I'm so jealous that you have a basement... Sigh someday.... (I hope you don't think my comment was offensive .. I don't mean it to be).... And what is your Plant Shop link?
Welcome and Thank you so much!! ❤️Also, nothing about your comment was offensive. I always appreciate any feedback - but the basement isn't all its cracked up to be. It is SOOO cold and mostly unfinished. 😂😂😂
.... How in the world do you have so many monstera albos?! I'm scared to tally up how much that is worth in USD.
I bought some unrooted cuttings a while back and just propagated a bunch until I made more mother plants 😂 (wait until you see the big albo in my upcoming before and after video. 🤤)
Do you have all your plants in pon? Sorry for the question is just that over here is kind of expensive . I have it for my own but not for my propagating that I'm expecting to sell in summer! Love learning from you!!😊
Can you share the brand of ur shelf racks you are using? Thank you for ur sharing.
This is really nice. How big is your tent in this video?
Wouldn’t you want to install a fan that takes out the bad air and also a fan that throws in fresh air? Looking at tents now and that is what I am worried about. How are your plants handling no fans/ fresh air in and bad out?
Can you please tell me where to buy plants from you.thank you 😊
Wat is the temp range?
Wat is the humidity range?
For tropical?
how much foot candles is optium light for albos and V adansonii in your opinion?
Nice for growing weed
can you put dwarf fruit trees in here ?
is so beautiful 😍 💖, if you sell any of those were will be
Thank you! 😊I will be restocking them on my website in the springtime. www.theplantsmeow.com
Why are you running a carbon scrubber?
did you start that cat from seed or clone ?
lowewr humidity isnt as much as too high of a humidity my plants don't like it at all
I’m going to appy this to my plants. Done it before with cannabis but not sure about growing rate of Philodendron. Is it grow faster than outdoor?
Where did you get your grow tent?
u Should add Nepenthes to ur collection
How did these lights end up working out for you? I'd love an update as to if this 1 light worked well for you? Also the bottom shelf im guessing is better for your Anthurium's? Thank you!!
Also, how did the Adonsonii end up doing with that placement?
I ended up dimming the light to 60% and adding two smaller lights (one on the side and one in the back). The adansonii didn’t mind the light one bit though!
Yes the bottom is perfect for the anthuriums and propagations ☺️
Thank you!
I've watched this several times. Im not sure if im missing it, but which lights did you set up? There are 2 links in the description. One for the mars hydro 600 and one for the 2000. Again thank you for the info 😊💚
👋 hi… what size tent are you standing in?
Where can you get them?
What unit you mesurring light?
Heyyyy, do you think the fan sucking the air out is the cause for humidity loss too? I suspect mine is the cause for mine.
It is definitely one of the reasons! I knew that even buying it but alas it is a necessary evil. 😂
What's the price of this whole setup
Amazing for weed growing 😳
are these all cuttings from your plants or?
Hi
What lights do you recommande in 120× 120 please ?
How many watts is your mars hydro
Where I can bye the thent
Are you selling any variegated monstera?
Did you leave the light on 7/24?
14 hours a day
Looks great ! Where do you buy your plastic trays at ? I’ve tried Amazon but it seems that all the trays they have are too small and doesn’t fit much plants ):
I have boot trays that i bought from Amazon. They have different sizes
@@chantelbyrd5549 thank you so much!
Sorry for the delay! I buy them from Growers Solution. Much cheaper then amazon ❤️
www.growerssolution.com/page/GS/CTGY/Containers
SORRY THERE IS NOTHING TO SHOW..REGULAR LOW REQUIREMENT POT PLANTS..LOL
100 foot candles (1000lux) is actually very very low for aroids. Most aroids want 10k+ lux (assuming blue-spectrum light for vegetative growth, but really you should be measuring ppfd in the blue spectrum). Even 300foot candles is low for any aroids & growth will be severely stunted, even with 24/7 lighting. Need to be careful for some variegated species but even then you are far, far, far from direct sunlight which is 100-200k+ lux.
Edit: I'm guessing you've invested a lot into the large light, but a more economical setup with better control over lighting would have been a series of lights directly above the shelves. You also can adjust the height depending on plant growth to avoid burning while not spending too much on electricity.
Edit 2: it's strange you can't maintain good humidity in such a small environment with 2 (!!) humidifiers. I would look at possible leaks in your tent, because you should be able to maintain high humidity without problem.
I agree that 100FC is too low for aroids. It is the base minimum they require but I don’t recommend it because they will not thrive. For my aroids I aim at 200-500FC. Higher than this is not necessary and for anthuriums in particular they will loose their darker coloring and various hues. Higher light will certainly create larger plants faster but I have no plants being stunted in the range I grow. Most of my plants grow at least one new leaf every 4 weeks. One of my small leaf form variegated albos have secondary fenestrations with leaves over 10” wide. I received this particular plant as a 3 leaf unrooted cutting in March with small leaves. To sum it up I have never had a stunted plant due to light at 300FC and my plants are thriving by pushing out leaves frequently and increasing in size at a rate that even surprises me. If you would like me to site the texts I derived my recommended FC measurements I can go back and find them. I don’t give any plants 24/7 lighting because they need a rest period. This would severely impact the vitality of the plants if I did this. As you can see in the video I did add more (smaller) grow lights to other areas in the tent to compensate for the lower FC levels in various places.
In regards to humidity the reasons it is lower is because of the heater, exhaust fan, and the passive air open vents. In the morning hours the temperature is 68F and humidity is around 72% but as the day does on the temperature increases and the humidity drops too much. I can’t turn off the heater because then the temperature gets too low. Additionally, the air flow I have currently is necessary in order to remove stagnant air and bring in fresh air. The small humidifier just doesn’t have the strength the mitigate the loss.
Do you sale elbo monstrera?
Dang🤩🤩🤩
Right??? 😱
if u are usng an extration fan, doesnt that suck out all the humidity out of then tent?
The exhaust fan, heater and large space are all reasons the humidity is lower. The exhaust removes about 10% humidity but the plants need the air exchange so can’t help that lol.
Can I make this tent my new top wishlist plant?
Yes I believe the official name for this plant is Philodendron sp. tentii 👌🏼
Omg when are you selling the albo😭😭
I will be listing them in the springtime. 🥰
Your exhaust is drying out the humidity as well so as long as you keep the exhaust in there you're going to have a problem with humidity...😒
Well the exhaust is necessary for ventilation
I’m sure your hydrometer is broken 😂
Haha I wish! I had three all read the same.
How is that possible ? 50% ?? Love your colection 💚
This is not a grow tent, more like a money tent🤑🤑🤑
It really is though. 👀 It scares me sometimes hahaha!
Spent lots of money and efforts just for growing flowers?
These aren’t flowers (and very valuable things deserve great care 😊👍🏼)
Stop using amazon
Giving Jeff Bezos more money is gross. 🤮
It does support his 1 million employees. I have a fulfillment facility in my city and a lot of people rely on his jobs right now. Conflicting feelings? 😭
@Plant life in Jen’s greenhouse I am sorry 😞 but I can not support Amazon. I kindly advise you to look for different employment.
