Hi guys , City fan here ..
You both spoke a lot of sense there, i could listen to lovely 'Nina' all day, she's defintely 'on the ball' .... and i went there yesterday not really knowing what to expect from either team .... Chelsea, because of what's gone on there over the summer, the player changes, and the strange exclusion of Sterling, who still has the talent to change or win any game .... and City, because we had the likes of Rodri, Bobb, Grealish, Walker and Stones out, and i wasn't quite sure how we'd react ... especially with Rodri being out, and our previous poor results without him.
We didn't have many chances, and neither really, did Chelsea ... but recent history has shown that we are a pretty clinical side when presented with the odd one, as you found out with Haalands goal, it just seemed to come right 'out of the blue' , as they so often do with him, but, with his goalscoring record, you CAN'T go giving him room ....... you were just unfortunate that your player had strayed marginally offside for your disallowed goal, because that chance seemed to present your best hope of scoring ..... yeah, i thought Kovacic played well against his former club too, he's been a good signing for us .... but chins up guys, it was only the first game of the season as Nina rightly says, and City rarely 'roll over' for any opposition these days, no matter how 'weakened' a side we might appear to put out ...... i wouldn't fret too much at this point in time, once things really settle down there, i'm sure things will only improve at Chelsea.

Always like to hear Nina's view, for me her assessment of each game is the most well thought out on this channel. I like what I saw from Chelsea today , I think we are going to do well this year. Certainly saw enough today for us to be top three or four.

You have to buy time unfortunately. Pep’s first season he finished 4th. Arteta’s first season he won the FA cup. You can’t just give time willy nilly
@@_1Solo Arteta also finished 8th in the league in consecutive seasons and was flat bottom of the league for a short period before, he was still afforded time. Not everyone is gonna be like Pep and the time is long gone when there were really only 4 teams who always finished top 4, Chelsea fans actually need to be patient. Not 3 4 seasons patient but at least give it a rest for a while

We have a far better squad than Brentford, Crystal Palace, Ipswich, etc and they seem to play better because they have experienced coaches. I’m backing Maresca for now, but he has a lot to learn

I get it but the scatter gun approach to recruitment doesn’t fit with this approach. If I want to make a full English but have no sausage, bacon and eggs then it’s never going to happen. Can that defense play this build up from the back against top teams and then rely on a number nine getting us out of trouble with his only chance. I’m not too sure.

Setting a bar low is never good for a team. Maresca ain't ready to be a top club manager, but maybe Chelsea has become a middle table club, then it's all even. Ever since abra's era ended, chelsea has been cursed and now looks more and more like the Chelsea of pre-Abra era, no matter how much money the new owners spend!

Maresca must put his foot down n start using Enzo from the bench becos Lavia is playing better than him now n he cannot play as No.10 that's Palmer's best position to create chances n score goals so Madueke or Pedro as the RW n Mudryk or Pedro as LW so Maresca must be told to stop favoritism n make the right selections going forward becos we need to start winning games to boost the confidence of the players

I was at Stamford Bridge for many a First division league game back in the 80's and early 90s, when only about 18,000 were in the ground, and that costly new stand down the side of the ground was, at best, half empty ..... contrast that to City dropping down to the old Third Division of English football and still maintaining an average of almost 30,000, despite only playing the likes of Lincoln, Macclesfield and York!
City were formed, in their original state of St Marks, about 25 years BEFORE Chelsea even came into existence, so City have quite clearly NEVER been 'irrelevant', as you claim, and are actually anything but ... they even held the British crowd record of over 84,500 fans for ANY game outside of Wembley, and probably still do ... and it's a fair bet that historically City have won more trophies overall too, as Chelsea didn't even manage to win one at all until the mid 1950s!
And , as of yet, your City 'cheating' claim hasn't been proven, or substantiated.

Biggest problem in that game was a lack of leaders on the pitch. Spineless, slow, lethargic, pushovers. We played like a lower league team! Some good moments, but there was no energy or motivation. This squad doesn’t have a JT, Drogba, Wise, or Lampard on the pitch. There is no standout candidate for a captain!! Who is on that pitch encouraging, leading, demanding more from his team mates? It’s all so weak and timid. If you keep signing kids, then it’s always going to be men against boys. Enzo should be nowhere near that armband!!
