Prince firing Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis was the best thing that ever happened to them. I just can't understand why Morris and Jessie had to be present while never having any say in that situation. I don't know about Jessie because he did well on his future solo album but for Morris, it was like seeing the rug getting pulled right from under him in terms of his group's sound and music production.

Warner’s never controlled Prince or his music! The only thing Warner’s controlled was the amount of music that Prince released on their lable. Which is why he started his own Paisley Park.
@@q.p.wilson3675 Prince spent the last 20 years of his life fighting for ownership of his music. Sad about Morris' drug use. It's understandable why he got so depressed---he essentially had no identity of his own, limited opportunity for growth in his vocation, and all his perceived success & autonomy were in the hands of another. Would drive anyone mad.
There's been so many versions about it, Prince even told Rolling Stone magazine that Morris did the firing and that he consulted the whole deal with Morris before they let them go. It’s glitchy from the source. The actual show isn’t glictchy at all, there’s another channel on here that has snippets of episodes in smaller bits and they look fine
I love Morris but I think Morris lied about lots of things, he kept playing the victim card, even tough it was his unprofessionalism that put him on a rough spot.

True. No one that worked for Prince really had too much success. Those guys and rheTime, I would venture to guess had the most

they need to do Death Row Records with Suge Knight
Idk what this show is but they should do it with everything music related(history controversy rivalrys) from 70s to 2000s.

This entertaining to me for some reason, lol.
