Really excited about your book Thorn. It's a great topic, one that is desperately needed in the witchcraft community in my opinion. October 2024 can't come soon enough. Thank you for dropping in with an update !! ✨💫
I'm so excited for that book!!! I had a good friend as me for a book recommend for just this reason and I looked all over my shelves and didn't see anything that wasn't an over load of thing she probably didn't want. Ie spells, rituals, moon Ness, the closest I could come to was your last book maybe.
Really excited to hear about the new project! A friend and I were speculating based on some other things you had said in other videos that it might be an updated 101 book - especially one that is still fine with/loves being regarded as Wicca 101, rather than a generalized non-specific witchcraft 101 - but this is really compelling too. For other movements nearby to witchcraft, did you consider including other forms of western occultism, Otherkin & Therianthropy, or vampiric practices/beliefs? Lately I've been thinking a lot about what makes something "Wiccan". But not in the 'so we can fight about it' terms; more so in "when I say something looks (not necessarily/probably not initiatory) Wiccan, what are people likely to think that means based on their understanding of "Wicca" from popular/widepsread books, and how has that shifted over time? What have we, not in a dictionary defining way but in a colloquial usage way, come to communally use "Wicca(n)" to mean?" Do you have recommendations of books I should definitely tour through from the 70s through 2015 that you feel were hugely defining to the (neo)Pagan understanding of "what is Wicca"? (I have a list going already, but I don't want to lead your attention by front loading them.)
I'm really interested in how you address the entire 'nothing is universal in Wicca' concept when trying to describe what Wicca is in this book. Looking forward to it!
Am looking forward to this book, not just for its purpose but also to see how an experienced, trusted, involved, real-life human being tackles the subject. :-) (Loved and agree with your description of the online search results!) This book sounds like it might be one of the more self-interviewing of your literary works, which I have to admit will be interesting to see.
This sounds very interesting and very needed. I don’t know enough people talking about New Though or about the Human Potential Movement or New Age Movement from a historical perspective and how they might relate to a witches practice. I look forward to reading it.
So excited for book 3.5 🎉 The definition of "contemporary" witchcraft has altered SO much since I was a curious yungun in '96. Thanks for the update! Can't wait!
That's a really good idea, and I'm surprised that it hasn't been done this way before. However, I'm not sure how you'll get around not talking about some of the major branches of witchcraft. As you know, everyone is going to want to know "What do witches believe?" and they won't feel like they understand witchcraft until they get an answer to that question. (I'm assuming that most your audience will be Americans of Protestant heritage.)
Foreign presses buy the rights to translate and produce copies, so it depends on if a French publisher wants to do that! My other books have been, so I’m hopefully this one will be too!

Sounds exactly what I need for my adult children, cause whenever we start to enter the topic my brain goes 🎆 🎇, uhhhh how do I explain this?!?
Hopefully this will help! 💙
I am so excited for this book. Thank you so much for tackling this need!
I’m absolutely intrigued regarding your new book. Good luck with getting it to come out to your satisfaction!

Hmm interesting 🤔 very interesting indeed! Love the video.
Great idea to give to worried family and friends ❤❤

Super excited for this book!
Will you mention Hoodoo and other magical siblings/cousins/relatives that are not mainly European?
So excited for book 3.5 🎉

Thanks for the update! Can't wait!
This is great news! 💚 I'll be buying a copy to lend out for sure!
Thank you.
Can’t wait to add this one to the other one
Awesome!
Sounds soooo interesting!!
Ok this book sounds way rad
Boy, you're a juggler; you gotta busy schedule. Nice mug, looks like something that Medea or Kirke would have on their altars or mantles. 😀🙋♀️
Do you have a title or working title yet?😊

Lucky for them there’s an entire chapter about belief. 😎
@@drawingKenaz I figured there would be something, but is it about how belief isn't as important and practice in witchcraft?
Excited to be able to give this book to my very sweet and supportive but very confused atheist partner lol
Will your book be translated in french?

@@drawingKenaz me too!
