I remember 1990, They were not my friends, but they were not my only friends.... Managed to see them live in 2001. Played all the classics and the new stuff at the time. You can imagine the near riot when they played Birdhouse in Your Soul.
I appreciate the ambiguity in TMBG songs, because it means I can read this as a protest song and have my interpretation be as accurate as any other interpretation.
