I've been following your channel for about a year or two now, and I've tried making a few of your recipes along the way. For the past two weeks, though, I've been focusing solely on cooking your dishes, and it's been such a joy! My six-year-old daughter and I watch your videos together the night before, making sure we have everything ready. After homework, she loves peeling the garlic while I prep the other ingredients. As a single dad in Canada, where produce prices can be high, your recipes are a lifesaver on a tight budget. One thing I really appreciate is how you grate your tomatoes-it’s such a simple yet brilliant way to avoid wasting half a can or using too much. Your little cooking tips really feel like timeless wisdom. I’m also so impressed by how your cooking reflects such an old-school, authentic style, despite growing up in California. It’s rare to see that, and I really admire you for it. Thank you for all the love you put into your recipes!
I think thats wonderful. Sharing this with your daughter, thats so precious. You make the "research" together by watching video the day before cooking it, then you check if you have everything needed. And the next day, you cook the recipe together. That is a strong bound. And that way, besides cooking recipes which are great if you are on a tight budget, you cook healthy food and teach your daughter the importance of using vegetables, herbs, spices and things like lentils, beans and chickpeas. Does your daughter have a favorite recipe from Albert ?
Your creamy garlic butter bean recipe was so delicious that I saved this one before even hearing it! I know it's going to be excellent. Thank you for so much inspiration and gentle style.
We just made this for a meatless Monday's dinner. It was really really good. Probably one of the best meatless Monday meals we've ever had. Had a nice salad crusty bread, red wine, little bit of heaven. Thank you so much for your channel
I had some Moroccan friends in Grad school, they cooked for me on several occasions, such was their hospitality, never had a bean dish with them, though. But the flavors here, are very similar, to their cooking.I would make this, for my family. Cheers.
Update: just made this soup for lunch ( and dinner). My kitchen smells amazingly heavenly! The soup, of course was also very, very good! Not sure which I like better: your garlic butter bean soup or this one. Thank you again!
Cookware: I absolutely love yours. Can you give us the name of the company that makes it? I can’t seem to find it in the states. Thank you. Great recipe as always.
Albert: Delicious! The turmeric does it for this one.😋I have everything but the cannellini beans. Out the door for some today. Thanks again. (Fan from San Francisco, California.) *!!~
I'm going to make this in the summer when my homegrown fresh tomatoes 🍅 are delicious and ripe. I eat soup year round. Thank you for another spectacular dish, Albert. My older daughter has been to both Spain and Morocco. I sent this recipe to her as well. I'm sure she will love it, too. 🍲
Nice. Have everything for this. Welcome additions to the usual spices. Made your lentil soup yesterday (minus the red bell pepper due to mold) was great. I had it with leftover shrimp/artichoke paella (ur recipe).UPDATE: Made this and just finished some. It was definitely different, and I enjoyed the heat. Please come up with a Cod or Salmon recipe with a Moroccan kick to go with it.
This reminds me I need to start some parsley plants. Thanks, Albert, I also saved this recipe for hard times ahead. Making sure I have canned and dried beans.
❤❤❤❤❤ happy happy happy 2025❤❤❤❤❤ we love your cooking from Charlotte North Carolina United States of America find the way your style is we love your style you know how you represent everything and the way you cooking is so beautiful we cook one day just like yours we finish the whole whole part of bean soup man week after that we were just so hungry and drunk so we thought make another one at midnight😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I guess it's funny for Americans to say that kind of thing but we are always hungry
Good Recipe! Three remarks: In most parts of the world, canned tomatos are defintively the better choice for good flavour. OTOH, I prefer soaking and cooking dried beans myself for better taste. Last not least, use *fresh* ginger.
I make a Lebanese dish called Lubeeyeh which is tiny diced sirloin sautéed with onions and garlic in olive oil. Then you add large can diced tomatoes and some paste, allspice and a lot of cut green beans. I serve over basmati &vermicelli rice. The grandkids would eat this everyday if they could. I will need to try your version. It sounds delicious with smoked paprika.I am tempted to add some diced pork chops😊enjoy your channel a lot, thank you
Funny how most dishes start off with onions in the pan lovely spiced bean dish but I was alarmed I couldn't get any white beans in cans yesterday oh well I'll wait to make this looks good 😊😊❤❤
If I wanted to add some meat to this dish, how and when would I do it? I am thinking about for example some slightly seasoned minced meat sauteed separately and then added to the pot.
Better still Greek/Turkish fasoles/fasioullia stew made with Fresh dried white beans, No preservatives from tin beans no nothing just an honest great n fresh food, Moroccan food if good n I love it But Turkish shish Kofte n Greek shish lamp Kebab I love it more especially with Greek/Turkish olive oil the Best two olive oils on earth of course am Greek from Cyprus in Cyprus we have the Same DNA with our Turkish compatriots, maybe is why I feel very comfortable with both mainland Greeks/Turkish people

Hello Albert. This seems so simple and delicious. Would the Spanish put a dollop of harissa in this dish or is that a solely arabic?
A think that is solely Arabic :) Much love!
I'm off to the store to get some white beans.
Much love :)
نحن نفعلها بهذه الطريقة في سوريا وغالبا نضيف لها لحم الخروف المسلوق

Don't you think too many different spices might conflict with each other too much?
