So i noticed you didn't use the RCA plugs for the output. You must not have a factory amp. If you do your volume will be very sensitive and extremely loud. There is a different harness for the RCA connections. I have the Atoto S8 it has a true Bluetooth connection with Android or Carplay. Atoto makes a very good radio.
Just saw your recent video on the F7 8-in and you said that you got rid of the 10-in because it didn't have CarPlay but here the title says it has CarPlay.
I just got wireless charging in my car, so I'm not interested in plugging in. Is it unreasonable to want wireless carplay/AA?? It's the future after all.
Nice work. I’m keen to get those TPMS USB Android sensors and these Android head units would be great for that. What I don’t know is if it would still cut in to warn you even while you’re using CarPlay.

ATOTO sells their own TPMS kit that communicates with their head unit and it works great, but requires installation of their TPMS sensors inside your tires. Your local tire shop can probably install them for about $15-20 each.* Or, if your vehicle already has them and you want to be able to read the data on the ATOTO, you can use an OBDII dongle and an app like Torque Pro to read that data as well as TONS of other vehicle specific data (literally dozens of different parameters from your vehicle) and display it on your Android unit in lots of different ways. * Or if you're very careful you can do it yourself: ua-cam.com/video/yIWUz2UIKdw/v-deo.html
Do a give away for the old unit. That new one looks dope, doesn't seem to block vents too much. On both these model units I think there is a 15 gig & 30 gig. Is the 30 gig needed. Also do you know how to load the fancy loading screens or add background pics?
Yes i was surprised as how much adjustability there is to the screen. I'm going to find out how much space there is but it takes a MicroSD card up to 512GB if you need extra storage. I'm using it for a few weeks and will report back with a review video. Thanks

what would the benefits of this over a brand name head unit like Sony or Kenwood be? the fact it's running android and you can login to the apps on the deck itself negating the need for Android AUto / Apple Car Play?
Fellow Elemental UA-camr Here...not by choice LOL! In Order for Apple Car...does it need to be be plugged in the whole time for carplay to work or can it be done via blue tooth? Reason why I ask is bc we just got new Apple 13 Pro Phones. Apple Told us NOT TO USE USB connections as it will kill battery life. Must be USB C connections. This deck is USB...in the video you showed it hooking up to the phone for set up.. Once set Up can carplay be achieved via Blue Tooth?
@@terryslay1 I got F7G211XE -- I'm liking it, and minimal issues, but you can't adjust the floating screen up or down in your dash. In my 2008 4Runner, that means the very top of the information screen (time, MPG etc.) is covered which is annoying. There is no way to fix it other than swapping screens.
Carplay has no issues at all! I'm waiting to get my hands on the ATOTO CarPlay wireless adapter so I can use it wirelessly with this F7 Pro. Stay Tuned!

I want to mount the rear cam high on the top of my Element so I can turn it on when I want to change lanes so there will be no blind spots. Any camera that the group would like to recommend?
so i have one of my rear cameras mounting on the bottom part of my rear spoiler which is pretty much the very top of my Element. What do you mean by when you change lanes it will turn on? I can try to help.

Are you able to use the stereo controls on the steering wheel? Can you have 3 cams one back up comes on when you put the care in R and two more that are the front and rear? I was looking at the side view cams that go on the side mirrors will all that work with this unit? Do you have a video on how you installed the cam on the bottom part of your rear spoiler?

Yea I had the 7" A6 prior to this. But I wanted the BIG Screen this time after seeing one in person. Go big or go home! The resolution on the F7 is great, it's all you need for CarPlay and some more.
@@lifewithabox the bigger screen will not matter if you are not going up in resolution, that is the point i am trying to make, Your old A6 and this new 10" have exactly the same resolution, so.. you are not getting anything more unless your eye sight is really bad. it just feels more zoomed in.
@@JacobTJ1 Yup but the regular resolution is all I and most people will probably need for CarPlay and the zoomed in is more of a safety feature you want to see things clearly visibly while driving. The 10" is great since now it's easier to just glance over to see my waze / google maps and radio station. It's the perfect screen size and text size. I'm not using it to watch movies or go through pictures so not a big deal for me.

Hey. The cameras are separate. The toguard aims more towards the traffic behind me and the atoto aims lower to see my rear bumper when i'm backup up. One camera alone isn't wide enough to cover the rear bumper and the traffic behind me.
Looks like you can but you'll need to purchase a face plate cover since it looks like your stock prius stereo is really wide and it's a whole piece. There are no covers for the screws on the sides, it gets covered by the big screen.

A few questions: 1. Does that USB cord for phone connection need to be left exposed or can it somehow be tucked away but still exposed for the phone link? 2. Do you have to do that first before installing if you have to hide that phone link cord? Because the main reason I'm getting this is for wireless android auto.
If you only intend on using it for the wireless Android/Apple Auto then you can leave it hidden behind the head unit. If you want to at least have the wired connection available if it is ever needed then I recommend setting up a spot that you like so you can either tape in place or get a drill and make a hole to put it in its place then finish up the head unit installation

Unfortunately my car has no radio controls on the steering wheel. there is an aftermarket wireless remote you can buy that attaches to your steering wheel.

@@theedge508 Yea I agree. The back and side could have been executed better with all the internals a bit exposed but it is covered more or less with the screen. You really have to bend down to really see that. This unit doesn't have GPS. The data is retrieved from your mobile device.
