Everyone is different. I absolutely love their products. Eyeshadows are highly pigmented because they are professional grade. Skincare does have a fragrance but to me it has a natural therapeutic smell...which I enjoy. And their skincare works!! I sell it because I fell in love with the products first. Then joined. 3 years later, I’m still here. Pro-grade, pro-quality.
OMG MY FRIENDS MOM IS A “SPOKES PERSON” FOR THIS BRAND LMAO. She came to our school and like basically explained a mlm and no one noticed like omg. I’m just realizing this now
Every single thing you said is 100% spot on! The Facebook groups are insane. Not to mention trying to keep up with all the chat groups. A big problem I had with LL is that a lot of the products were always out of stock. I started out when LL was in its infancy. So many clients/customers got turned off because of all the out of stock issues. My upline was such a snob and rude most of the time. She told me that I wasn’t very good at my job if I focused on the out of stock items and not push products that were in stock. So what are you supposed to say when someone wants a mascara and it’s out of stock for THREE months? She rarely had time for me once a team of someone else was rolled up to her. I witnessed so much catty mean girl nonsense. Don’t even get me started on one of the corporate heads. He is absolutely VILE! The site of him makes me cringe. I witnessed so much hatefulness from that guy from the time he was hired till I left the company. For the life of me I don’t understand Michelle Gay’s mentality on keeping him with the company. So much underhanded gross things went on. Now, a lot of the TOP executive level beauty guides left LimeLife just recently. The company is definitely not at all what it was when I joined back in 2016. I miss it, I truly do. The products are wonderful, I had a great time. But I can’t be a part of a company that employs someone like him that is over so many, that depend on their incomes.
Aww makes sad to hear…honestly I wish there was away to share being a with leader that genuine and real. I trying to figure out how to put myself out there as a great leader.
So happy I found this video. I've had a lot of friends and friends of friends trying to recruit me for this brand. Im good one one with people but the idea of doing lives frightens me. You use the words noise. Im trying to lessen the noise and I want to do something at a slower pace. Thank you for sharing!
You're welcome. Yes, I enjoy my quiet and I don't like distractions that don't lead me anywhere. So I tried it and realized it didn't fit with my personality. Glad I could help!
Oh and pigment with eyeshadow. since everything is 50% pigmentation, the colours will come harsh because it was made for tv. i do mine very faint and its not harsh. that way the product lasts so much longer too
The target market is every day women, not TV, so that defeats the point. To have to over-blend the shadow so it appears faint is too confusing if you're not a pro and comfortable with using eye shadow.
Lina Waled i mean I guess I’m not a professional makeup artist, but I personally do not have to blend a lot and it doesn’t come up too bright. Also, why use a drugstore brand that you need so much product to hardly see any colour. I would rather have bright colour, good, clean healthy products than not very good product that you need so much powder to make 1/8 of the colour we get with half the product
Only the foundation is 50% pigmentation...not everything. That's something that many people represent. Not to be deceiving. They just misunderstood or were told incorrectly.
@@rachellaunder92 Nope...just the foundation. I agree...they are amazing shadows and work fantastic for me as well. Personally I do use many other brands of eyeshadows, only because I love a lot of color and though we do have a few colorful shades, I'm hoping we get more soon! I rarely wear neutral shades, and because Limelife is for the "every day woman" that's mostly what we have.
Thank you so much for this video! My mom just told me that her friend joined Limelife. She showed me a catalouge and I got suspicious (lack of contact info, signal words "family", etc.) And well, i got worried

I’ve been able to stop wearing makeup because limelife has improved my skin so much. I use the Quench Thirst cleanser and the Songi Mushroom serum mixed with one of the face oils for moisturizing. But to be honest the product is waaay too expensive and I will Speak from personal experience that the customer service is garbage. Basically as soon as they sell you the product, they don’t care anymore. That was my experience anyway so even tho the product is good I stopped using for those reasons….. I was able to find another brand that works really good as well. So I think they need to lower prices for sure.
I’ve been a part of 2 MLMs and with the first one, it started really well. I advanced quickly but soon felt like it was difficult to keep up and move forward if I wasn’t “hustling” the same speech over and over. And that it was not easy to maintain clients or downlines. Im sure it works for a VERY small percentage just like not everyone can be a doctor or lawyer or cut hair :) btw, Lina is my stylist and she is a very good stylist. Back to MLM, I am still with both but with the 2nd one I’ve learned the selling factor is not me. I stay on because I love some of the products and as a member I continue to get better pricing, period. I think people need to dig deep into what truly drives them and explore how to apply that passion to a career or simply a hobby to enjoy. Trying to grow a MLM business is not as simple or effective as it looks. :/
All MLMs have the same old story. I don’t understand why women continue to sign up with these companies. And it’s ok to call an MLM a pyramid scheme. Because it is. Please- use common sense and don’t waste your money.
you should watch youtubers like Savannah Marie, Kiki Chanel, Emily Leah, and a youtuber called Genetically Modified Skeptic also has a really good video on MLMs and why they dont work. ive learned a lot from them recently. a MLM called CutCo/Vector recently tried to get me to join, but theyre a lot more sketchy than LL. but yeah, only 1-2% of people in MLMs make money tbh. im really sorry about your experience and i hope you find a good job you love outside of MLMs
I had joined Cutco when I was about 18 or 20 and it was shady AF. I ran out of there. YES about making money. Everyone says "I made 100k in sales" but that's not profit!! It's basic math. If you were to start your own line you'd make a better living! It's just too messy so I'm out!
I just happened to run into this video looking for something else. I'm sorry for the experience you had. We're always making forward movement in simplicity of onboarding and have a new app coming out that takes all of the running around to get trained away. I too am a very in person/hands on retailer and have found ways to work this business both on and offline. (Well more online now of course). I help train people on how to grow a network based off of your personal experiences and how you can help others (in and out of makeup) vs using our personal friends/family to grow. I am sorry you didn't get the experience you were looking for and thank you for expressing this is your own experience. Many people don't include that statement in a review and with so many people with different experiences it gets confusing when opinions get stated as facts in other videos. I just wish we connected sooner so I could have guided you to check some of that training out. I wish you the best of luck in all you do!

Just some quick background... I live in Canada, and this company is starting to get bigger here. I know a few people selling it and I didn't know anything about it, so that's how I came across your video. I do have a question ( I am not new to makeup) and I know about and have personally used RCMA before. How is it that an mlm company can use another company's product? In Canada this foundation from limlife retails for nearly 50 dollars, where I can purchase rcma foundation for 12. Make this make sense to me lol. Loved your video
RCMA manufactures a different type of foundation for LimeLife. It's mineral based and IMO terrible quality. It's also a way for them to make extra cash *shrug* The original RCMA is the best
I just joined LimeLife by Alcone and I’ve had an amazing experience so far- as a business owner I already have the structure for marketing. One of the groups I’m in had training modules my up-line recommended me to complete and that has made it less overwhelming and more logical/strategic! Thanks for sharing your experience tho!
Yeah i joined too. best decision i have ever made. it sounds like your group wasnt great. there was a lot of groups and motivational speeches for the support. which is so amazing in my opinion

There's a reason I left ;) You're on your own for the most part unfortunately. If you feel you can't do this on your own I would get out if I were you. You're going to have to buy product for inventory and unless you have a client base as a makeup artist I don't think it's right for you. It's very pricey for products that perform OK. The skincare is okay. CeraVe is better lol. The price I showed is in Canadian dollars.
I signed up with LimeLife. It is amazing starting a small business with this company, There is so much support and resources to help grow your business. They have so much of it laid out for you. You can not only reach customers via internet but you can do in person 1x1s. Now, they have it were you pick out your own business kits, either just makeup, skin care, or both. Yes, there are several Facebook groups but to me you can pick which one really works for you. I follow about 3. When it comes to customers, they do things that include customers. When I do my Go Lives I try to keep mine around 15 no longer then 30 mins because I know people have busy schedules. It is not for everyone. I really like their communities.

hi there, you'll probably never see this comment, but a close family friend works for lime life, should I buy products from her to support her, or should I not buy from her because it'll be more so supporting the MLM rather than her?
If you wanted all those products, then yes..you'll have to buy them. All of the best selling products were in your kit, except for the foundation, which of course can't be in the kit because everyone is a different shade. It sounds like you didn't have a very good upline, cuz there's already mock parties available to everyone, and no one should ever be left "on their own"! I'm sorry it didn't work for you. It truly is an amazing company. I've been here 2 1/2 years and it's made me a better person in so many ways. Unfortunately it does happen that people leave, and it's a sad experience. I had an upline that I loved dearly...she was top seller & an incredible leader, and she up & left one day & it sucked when I got put with someone else. SHE didn't suck, but the drastic change did. I just had to take everything she taught me and keep goin'. 🤷♀️ Anyway...I appreciate that you didn't bash the company & mentioned the things you liked about it, and not all the bad stuff. Unfortunately a lot of people do that after they leave. Good luck to you! ❤
Thanks for your comment! Yeah it comes down to your upline. The saying that people leave bosses not companies is true. I've never left a job where I loved or connected to my boss. Now I work for myself and love my clients 😊.. I see a lot of good from this company but I know it wasn't right for me. Glad you're having a great time!
I appreciate your honesty, I just wish you didn’t use the “pyramid scheme” term. I was with Limelife for 3 years and left because the products were too expensive and because of the fees. I would love to see you try Farmasi makeup and do a review on it, simply to see what you think of it from a makeup artist standpoint. It seems to work very well for the “every day” woman. You may not like the scents though if you don’t like scented products. I had to get used to it but I do love the affordability and the quality.
"A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members via a promise of payments or services for enrolling others into the scheme, rather than supplying investments or sale of products." As for Farmasi, I don't want scented products on my skin. Looks like they're an influencer brand, not professional, so I'm okay on trying them out. Glad you enjoy them and thanks for your comment!
Scheme- verb make plans, especially in a devious way or with intent to do something illegal or wrong. Network marketing is not a scheme. Thanks for the reply.
@@kayllaspencer4268 Look the pay method is sketchy. They have so many ways of getting paid it literally is so hard to understand. I'd love for you to share how you got paid and how much you actually made in profit. The upline told me I have to recruit to make money, so it's definitely unsettling.
Lina Waled -With Limelife (I was there almost three years) I averaged $1500-$2000 paychecks. I eventually left because of the monthly website fees and the annual $75 “re-enrollment” fee. I also left because of a newer company starting in the USA. I agree with you that those fees sucked (I think it was you that said that). What I did enjoy about Limelife is that they allowed you to earn back products for free through party rewards. I usually got all of my makeup for free myself. I was a good retailer (sales) and enjoyed it. I had months where I sold $4000-$5000 in products. If you are a good salesman, you can make profit without a team. Not everyone is good at that though. It takes years of commitment to learn and get better, just as any corporate job. Now that I’m with Farmasi, we pay zero fees. No inventory. I’ve consistently made $4000-$20,000 with Farmasi in the last nine months, from beginning to present. I never have to buy anything to stay active because I have built a solid customer base. I understand a lot of what you’re staying and I’m sorry you had a bad experience but there are women in this business who work with integrity and massive hard work. Years of dedication. It’s just not fair to call it scheme. We are in the sales field. We share what we love, people have the option to buy or not. As with any business out there, you have to spend money to make money. Mary Kay has been around for years and years and I still have family members who refuse to buy anything else. There are some bad apples in this business but we’re all not in the same batch. Thanks for letting me talk to you about it. I’m not trying to sell anything to you. I respect your opinion.

Absolutely! You should buy the products you enjoy. LL lip stains are beaaauuuutiful and so is some of the skincare. Buy what you like and support her.
@@sklptdhair Thank you so much for the advice!
Scheme- verb
make plans, especially in a devious way or with intent to do something illegal or wrong.
@@kayllaspencer4268 Thank you so much for this! Like I mentioned in the video this was my experience and unfortunately I didn't have a solid up-line. Your numbers are impressive! Please let us know how you built your clientele. A lot of people who sign up for LL are not professional artists so that was also hard for me - not being able to find people who spoke my language. I'm really happy for you. Yes the fees sucked. Glad you found a better opportunity!!
Are your eyebrows a little too dark? I'm a tactile learner also & had a horrible experience with Mary Kay 😢 spent so much $$$ bc i fell for the hype my Director generated. 🤮
They're natural thanks
Thanks
Yes. I work with Karine Joncas out of Canada. I can understand why you felt that way. Thanks for sharing!! I would love to send you some samples of Karine’s dermo-corrective eye patches!! They are so amazing ❤️
We need to connect, majority of pay structures in MLM are garbage, ours isn't a MLM.
