The first time I heard this song was at my college's library and I wanted to scream so loud when the song was building up like around 4:35. Everything just mounting up and overlapping and the slow release after that was so... relieving

Regardless of how true it is, it disregards the wisdom, the patience, the straightforwardness and stability of the gender. The first time I heard this song was at my college's library and I wanted to scream so loud when the song was building up like around 4:35. Everything just mounting up and overlapping and the slow release after that was so... relieving

Regardless of how true it is, it disregards the wisdom, the patience, the straightforwardness and stability of the gender. The peculiarities of the female gender that have been mentioned in the song tend to fall rather on more positive adjectives, unlike the foibles that were put forward for the male. Given that Damien Rice has written the lyrics I can interpret the song as craving for a woman - the woman for him, whom he may have lost or been abandoned/ignored by and in that sense it is a great love song.

Especially when it comes to metal, it's really rare for ppl to give it attention like they should. It might sound funny but metal is too emotional for ppl to understand it cz ppl fear what they don't know or mostly what's unfamiliar, which made it be the least popular genre sadly.
