I feel as though each Damien Rice song is an epic movie: I see the images in my mind. I feel empathy for the protagonist. I'm troubled by the turmoil. I weep at the sorrow. Such beautiful sorrow! I ruefully smile at the epiphany that happens as equilibrium is restored. And I feel the hope in each pluck of the strings, each note struck on his piano, every pleading word from his mouth.
I was watching the series Dickinson when suddenly this song played while she was backing bread and I was like “hold up this is beautiful, I gotta search for this song” ... and I don’t fucking regret my decision
It fucking breaks my heart into billion pieces and yet makes me rejoice this masterpiece of a music and make me gasp with awe .Thank you Damien for existing for being a genius in chaotic and loud world and making music that resonates with wanderers and seekers . It reminds us how at the end of the day we share our lose, grief, longings and love. To all people who come back to listen to this I understand how you feel when that heart wrenching deep gutted gasps rush in , that unwarranted tear jerking shiver goes down to your spine ,and all hurt and hope rush in to make sense .it’s overwhelmingly haunting composition.I understand how you feel to be alone in this trance that no one around you is yet ready to grasp. In this moment we all share this human fragility and vulnerability . At least here we are standing in solidarity.
I hope you have found the Salvation. I hope all the heartbreaks you have gone through have been washed away. It is kinda beautiful and sad at a time to know that I am not the only one who walked though this path which I never even imagined in my worst nightmare. I am proud of myself for the way I have survive.

I have to listen to the last five minutes. The piano and violin are so beautiful and cannot be dismissed or skipped. I must listen to it to its very end
At the end of 4:40 your mind won’t be clear because of the build of the song and how it collapse .. the last five minutes is to heal your brain, your heart and you soul. We all need listen to it so we can go back to our normal depressing life
The music, the words , the rythm everything just compliments eachother... specially the violin part. Sometimes It feels like an avalanche , all coming together on you
I was sent this by a friend who played it on guitar and I asked if he wrote it..obviously not but absolutely blows me away..best song I've heard in years..as a song writer myself (unknown unfortunately)..I fully appreciate the beauty of the lyrics..

It takes a lot to give, to ask for help To be yourself, to know and love what you live with It takes a lot to breathe, to touch, to feel The slow reveal of what another body needs
This song touches me deeply, I realize through it an idea already anchored, this time in a powerful emotion, that anyone we meet is a whole world, we may have impressions, presumptions or even judge, to make our life easier, or because it s a natural human reflex, according to our small vision of the world, or through the knowledge of ourselves that we project on the other, it never comes close to their reality, each one of us is a universe, sometimes when we love, we love a whole world without knowing anything about it, at that moment we no longer judge anything, all that is magic.
My beautiful woman has always been there for me even when I am not there for her. Why am I so weak yet aware of the things I can't change? I sit here as she lives for the both of us. Hopeless. This song reminds me of when we spent "An Evening with Damien Rice" as my first real exposure to his talent. A one man show. It takes real courage and balls to do what he does. I was never a fan until her. I will forever remember these songs as my first true loves all time favorite artist.
