Macarite can you elaborate on how you get to calculated this bpm transition? I’ve been trying to wrap my head around this but I haven’t seen this before. Its a really sick transition and I don’t have any experience mixing into DnB.
- No dual layer = no 4 decks on 2 players. - No inbuilt track analyse. MPU for what? - No performance pads (Cues, Loops, Slicer) - No inbuilt option for hard drive. - No inbuilt Wifi streaming access. - No loop encoder, cluttered buttons everywhere. - No added Tempo Ranges, still 6/10/16/100. - No multi touch and screen glass protection. - No full track buffering (still 4-beat emergency loop). - No AC power buffering with safety-shutdown. - Small plastic Hot cues in completely the wrong place. - Doesn't accept SDXC cards and exFat, max 32GB. - Only one media USB port with 1.0A supply (was 2.1A). - Worse water resistance (Denons have coated PCBs). - 1000$ more than the SC6000 (and 1500$ than SC5000). - Rekordbox 6 encrypts your database (fear of Denon 😏). - Arrogant 'support' in their forums. Google it yourself. Btw, still great mix! ^^
And the best part is that the clubs are going to buy them anyway, since they are close to the 2000s, an easy switch, but still better, motivating the switch in the first place. I bet my "old" MCX8000 has similar processing power... Or okay maybe not. But I still wouldn't be surprised.

Fact: When you're a skilled dj you can really showcase what products can do. Key stuff aside, there is not much a pair of original XDJ 1000 cant do that these will. Bet he could do the same mix with those no problem!

One of the worst days of my life was when I pawned my black m5g’s and dj3000 for drug money. And I think I just found my present to myself for 16 months clean once I get this weed drop out 😍😍😍😍
it have the right things that were needed for live sets... a better bright screen for day gigs, better overall screen, better audio quality and the waveforms overlaped, then all the other things are just for people buying it at home, but not usefull for big set ups in parties. I think it will remain as standard for many years.
A lot of people who bitch and complain, have never owned or played on either the Denon or the Pioneer products. I don't believe every feature on one player, should be on another. Most Djs probably use a 1/3 of them anyway. I have both the Denon Prime and the Pioneer NXS2 sets. I compare how they perform and how I perform on them. At the end of the night, I pretty much sound the same on both. I do find the older Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2 hot cues to be more precise than the Denon SC5000. I can't tell you how annoying it is when I hit the button, and it's off beat. I like the scrolling on the Denon Sc5000 better. It should be better, its a newer player. Dual layer on the Denon is a great feature, especially if one player goes down. The effects on the Pioneer 900NXS2 appeal to me, more than the Denon X1800. When it comes to looks, Pioneer wins, with its classy black appeal. It took awhile for me to get pass the arcade look of the Denon series. Resale value, hands down, Pioneer wins. Denon has the worst resale value. I don't need the new CDJ 3000, the SC6000 or the V10, but I'll probably get them out of curiosity. If Toyota is your choice of car, don't beat up on Honda.
Well put! I'm floored by the number of comments from DJs who are trashing a CDJ they've never seen or used in person, and comparing it to a product that they don't even own.
@@afxtwin1337 No I haven't played on them yet. The SC6000 has a new black cap. Hopefully this design is better. The SC5000 performance cap on the underside, has an X shaped that's designed to hit the cue button dead center. So when you strike it on the side, top, bottom without force, it's off beat. Even dead center, my confidence is not 100%.The 2000NXS2 is always on point.
Yeah most people never tryed denon sc6000. I got my full denon kit couple days ago and totally not happy with them. Mixer is buggy fxs sounds bad EQ are made for kids they are so thin. Then the player first i looked them wow but when i started spinning the jog wheels other jog wheel felt way different and was making weird noise and the tension adjust it doesnt make it smooth it just makes it feel like its getting stuck. Also the jog wheel surface is super slippery if you have dry hands you cant even spin it if you dont put lots pressure. Dont like the rubber hot cue pads not easy to smash fast like on pioneer, same goes with cue button. Screen not bright as i tough, inside house its bearly enough would not take them to sunlight. Also no needle bar counter like on pioneer that is massive feature for live sets and taking request and knowing how long mixing phrase will be. Denons will go back and going to stay on pioneer. I have been using over 9 years CDJs. CDJ3000 seems like great update. I do say it sucked that CDJ3000 Didn't get SSD slot or dual layer thats about it otherwise its perfect atleast for my style of playing8
